This Bonefish really leaves something to be desired. We are from Huntsville, so when a friend suggested brunch here I thought, sure, why not? The Bonefish in Huntsville is much much better. The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. My friend had fish and chips and it was so greasy she couldn't finish it. The grease was leaking through the paper and onto the table... disgusting. I had eggs benedict (my fav) .. guess I should have known better than to order this at Bonefish. I was just so suprised to see it on their brunch menu! It really left something to be desired.. not to mention it came out cold. My other friend had some sort of tacos that were ridiculously huge. I made a reservation before they opened but when I arrived we were told two people were in front of us cool, thats not many. We waited for an hour to sit down. I used to work for blooming brands, I have done every job in the front of the house. I exhibited such lack of teamwork. The host had no one helping them, the servers barely prebussed, the managers were slipping up on small things as well. I watched a a multitude of tables sit dirty for 40 minutes. I was hungry and how we got forgotten was frustrsting. That is not how I was taught as a past employee of blooming brands to treat my guests. We sat down and our server was kind but we waited on bread for 20 minutes, everything came at the same time and drinks took 10 minutes. I was very disappointed with our service. We arrived at 8pm on a Sunday. We never received the bread. We got our appetizer before we got our drinks. Our appetizer plates stayed on the table for the 35minutes we had to wait on our entree's. No apologies from the server about our wait. Seemed like she was too busy doing her closing duties to take care of us. Keep in mind they close at 9 on Sundays, but we were there an hour before closing. Its been a while since I've been here. Small portions and poorly prepared. I had the sea bass (almost $30) and it was nasty! It tasted old and the Pan Asian sauce was a thick disgusting syrup. Ate lunch here 9/19/2018. The clam chowder was tasteless, mostly just water and corn starch or some kind of thickener. The cod fish and chips was no better. The fried fish was burned on one side and barely cooked on the other side. No flavor. A high end restaurant serving poorly prepared fast food. My husband treated me to dinner at Bonefish Grille last night. I have an allergy to milk & I must say I was hesitant to order anything off the menu. Tim, our server was wonderful and helped me navigate the menu by making clear my non-dairy options. He went the extra mile by bringing me a pesto without the parmesan for dipping. One of our favorite places to dine. Bang Bang shrimp is always our choice appetizer. I love the glow stick in the hypnotic martini drink. The corn chowder with crab meat is delicious. I love their bread and the herb and olive oil dipping mixture. The salmon and Sea Bass is excellent. But please, someone in management needs to educate the staff on the importance of wearing a clean uniform when you come to a table to take the orders. We went a few days ago and were really disappointed by the service. We sat in the bar area. There were three of us in the party. The waitress came by and took drink orders and I ordered a water and a Cabernet, the second drink order was a Diet Coke and a Pinot Noir, and the third was a Diet Coke. We placed an appetizer order at this time, as well. The diet cokes came quickly to the table and we placed our food order. About 10 minutes later, after a question about the rest of the drinks, we got the Cabernet and a question of which Pinot Noir. When the waitress was informed that a menu would be needed for the Pinot Noir decision she set one on the table and quickly walked off. It took another 5+ minutes before she returned for the wine order and I had no chance to ask about my water. We received our appetizers before I had any drinks. I ended up going to the bar to get a water because there was never a chance to get her attention and ask about it. She did, however, let us know they were brewing some more tea? Not really sure why. We received our food in a timely fashion and it was great. The quality of the food is what got this review the two stars. It became very frustrating to wait on drinks to wait to order drinks. Bonefish has probably fallen off our list of restaurants due to the terrible service on this visit. read more

Very disappointing! The crab cakes were undercooked to the point that I couldn't take a bite. The fish tacos were mediocre, at best. The only redeeming quality was the bread and olive oil! We have eaten many times at the Savannah, Georgia location with predictably high quality food and service, we assumed the quality would be consistent at other locations...we were wrong, and will not return to this location! read more

I tried the bang bang shrimp tacos and also the bang bang shrimp. I can say the flavor of the shrimp was ok and the same for the Taco since it's just inside a corn tortilla with tomato and sour cream on top it already comes with lettuce (so I'll leave that out) but the sauce on the shrimp seemed like it had mayo base. I'm not sure but I only say that due to me personally making mayo based concoctions. The waiter was friendly and attentive seemed liked the chefs were kinda bored since they were not as busy due to it being the early evening. I had to add salt & pepper to have a bit of flavor for the shrimp I'll be honest it was kinda bland it was my first time going and only because my girlfriend wanted me to go and I really will have to try something else on the menu so I can at least give them another chance luckily I paid with a gift card so I saved some cash read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My wife confirmed a reservation 4 hours or so prior to us showing up for 7:30. We checked in at 6:40. To see if we could maybe get seated sooner and the host said no problem if we can we will. 7:30 comes and pager never alarmed. I went in to see how things were moving along a different young man stated we had eight dinner parties ahead of us and I asked how is that when we had reservations he said people had checked in about 6:45. I looked at his computer screen and they checked us in at 7:30. I went outside and realized this doesn't make sense and the couple we were talking with (who showed up 15 min after us without a reservation) happened to be the next party to be seated and that gentlemen told the host that they are wrong and have a circus operation. We both handed our pagers in and left. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING unless the manager returns my call with a good explanation of this unprofessionalism. So after I wrote an email to the Manager he contacted me with in a couple days he was very apologetic and stated he wanted to send something to us to make up for the issues as well as to meet us. He took down our address and said he would mail something to us the next day. Here we are 2 weeks later and nothing. Although we didn't write to him to get anything out of it other than letting him know the issues and express our aggravation. This shows a lack in follow through and at this point I will always recommend to any of my friends or co-workers not to go to this poorly managed and ran establishment. It's a shame. read more

We made reservations at Bonefish grill for my husbands birthday this evening and were more than happy! We were running about 10 minutes behind and I called to let the hostess know and she was kind and said don't worry we will see you when you get here. We were seated immediately and greeted promptly. We ordered the lamb loli pops and my husband and son loved them. The bread was fresh and hot and dipping oil was amazing. We had time to eat appetizer and bread and had a beer and the perfect amount of digesting time passed before our meal arrived. I had the BBQ pork my husband the filet and son the grouper and shrimp special. I HIGHLY recommend the pork, it was thick juicy and cooked to perfection! We all enjoyed our meals. Toward the end of our meal the manager stopped by very unobtrusively and congratulated my husband on his birthday and gave him a lovely box of homemade cookies and gave us a few coupons. The only slightly less than perfect aspect was once our food was dropped by our server we didn't see her again until we were finished.My drink empty and my son waiting to see her for water. She did stop by and said "I'll get you some more tea, but by then I was finished. This was our first trip to Bonefish and here are my take aways. 1. I LOVE that we had one person who waited on us, not a "runner" with food and someone else filling glasses etc. 2. The manager stopped by. This is a benefit to restaurants. My husband and I had been servers for years and giving coupons ensures return visits and the opportunity to correct any imperfections and hear feedback. Cudos to you Bonefish Montgomery! Very disappointing dinner. There weren't enough waiters I guess, my soup was cold. We waited a long time just to get water. They changed the au gratin potatoes, very yellow and cheezy more like macaroni and cheese. No bread for a long while we were told it was still baking. we went to Bonefish for lunch in late afternoon. We had the lunch specials. The food was very good.The service was attentive but not obtrusive. The restaurant was relatively empty at that time, but there was adequate staff to serve everybody. It Made for a very enjoyable lunch. The only thing that stopped it from being a 5 star experience was the bar service. The bartender was no where to be found. The waitress went back several times with no avail. It took several tries and 15 minutes to get 2 glasses of house wine. When the bartender finally appeared after pouring wine,he was very casual and unconcerned. Having said that,the pluses far outweighed this minor negative. I would strongly recommend! read more

We went to Bonefish today, Sunday12/9/18 about 1:45 pm, and experienced a cold restaurant, slow service, and dirty surroundings. The outside temp was 44 deg and it was about 55 deg inside. There were only about 3 tables occupied in the main dining room, and apparently the waitress who started to serve us was sent home at 2:00 and another took over. It was a half hour before out order was taken, and after 2:30 before we got our food. The wait staff spent most of their time in the kitchen where it was warm, and we had a hard time getting drink refills or sauce, even though our server only had 1 table until after our food arrived. The other major issue was the dirt, dust, and fingerprints on the window sill and blinds. I asked about the temperature and was told the heat was broken and there were no outlets in the dining room to plug in space heaters. She also said an outside cleaning service was responsible for cleaning, and they "went real fast and missed a lot". I asked if they had a manager who was responsible, and she just shrugged. Had to send back the steak two times as it was overcooked. The management was aware of the issue, yet they made no attempt to make it up other than just apologize. So had to eat dinner much later than the others at my table, had eaten my fries in the meantime (while waiting for the steak to come) and was not even given a portion of fresh fries when the steak finally arrived. In the end, they charged me the full amount. Waitress was nice, not her fault at all. Will not come back and can not recommend this place. It´s simply not worth all the waiting and paying a lot of money for what you get. Is this really supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Montgomery, AL...??? read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Zena or zeeny was our waitress and we saw her when she left our drinks and check time and no more! Sides were left off and we had to flag another waitress to even get them. Terrible service! Its $20-$25 a plate and our whole party left hungry. The portions are horribly small. The shrimp and scallop meal was charred on each side and tasted burnt. You get 4 small shrimp and 4 scallops (quarter size shrimp and nickel sized scallops) brown butcher paper table coverings. My husband and I went here last night for the first time and the service and food was great... I will eat here again

I went there for dinner last Sunday. The place was pretty empty so we were seated immediately and the waiter came over to tell us about the menu and take drink order. We ordered our drinks and waited for about 15 min ... our waiter was standing near the kitchen with 3 other servers chatting. I tried to get his attention but I was ignored. Finally (after about 20 min) he came over to a table next to ours to pick up a bill so I waved and called his name again with no effect. A few minutes later he returned with the change/card to the other table and ignored me again. He returned to his group of servers ... At this point we were there for over half hour and have not received even a glass of water. We got up and left. We liked this place the few times we ate there (last time probably at least 8 months ago) before. There must have been a change in management because the service now was beyond horrible. I will never step my foot in there again!!!! read more

The Bonefish Grill in Montgomery was once one of our favorite places to dine. It was classy; the ambiance was terrific, the service fantastic, and, while maybe pricier than other places, the food was delicious. During our visit last night, the only thing that remained true was the food -- it was delicious. We called ahead for a reservation for five with one person in a wheelchair. When we arrived at the appointed time, we stood at the hostess station over 15 minutes while they prepared a table for us. From the time our server took our orders until our salads arrived, it was just over 40 minutes. We had to ask the server several times for some items. The "background music" blared so loud it took center stage! In a place of this stature, it's hard to imagine having to shout across the table to dinner mates in order to be heard! From the time we arrived until we departed, the only pleasant part of the entire visit was the food, which is why I rated it a 2 instead of a 1. Needless to say, the Bonefish Grill is no longer high on our list as a repeat place to go! read more
