Haven't been to a bonefish in while, came back last night with my bf and we had a nice evening. If y'all haven't had the wagyu beef burger yet y'all are missing out on life. One of the best place's to eat in Murfreesboro. Great cozy atmosphere and the bartender is one of the best in the biz. I had the Soft Shell Crab with Jasmine rice washed it down with a couple of Newcastle's. Bang Bang shrimp is hit or miss it...too much of a mayo taste to it. read more

This was my family's first time at this establishment. The atmosphere and decor was comfortable and laid out well. We were greeted by our server, Michael, who had dirty dishes in his hands when he initially approached our table. A very poor way to make a 1st impression. When I asked about which beers they had, on tap, he again gave me news I didn't want to hear. He told me that half of their taps were out of service due to the fact they were not functioning properly and required cleaning. Again, something a customer does not need to know. Their website shows a huge selection of both bottled and draft beers available. That was definately NOT the case at this restaurant. Again, I was very disappointed, as I appreciate really great craft beers. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was very tasty as was the Singapore Calimari. Both my daughter and I had the twin lobster tails which were good. My wife had the pecan and parmesan encrusted trout which was bland and did not taste very fresh. Not good for a place that touts itself as having the freshest seafood in the area. Overall, I would have been happier going to Red Lobster, which is a sad thing to say. Was not too eager to learn this was where my Dad was going to take my Mom out for her birthday, but he invited us, and how can you say no to that? I had a indifferent experience with the Bone Fish grill in Knoxville a few years ago, heard I had to have their Bam Bam Shrimp- big deal. It should have been called the Bland Bland Shrimp. This night was different. Everything from the greeter, waiter and to the help staff was A-1. They do a great job of making you feel like number 1. They kept our drinks and the bread plate full. The entrees were great, as was the presentation. The Bam Bam Shrimp was outstanding this time. I had the Al gratin potatoes and Red Fish cooked over the wood grill. My Spouse had the Shrimp and Scallop and the garlic mashed potatoes. My mom had the stuffed Tilapia- WOW was it good. Though a little pricy, this will be the place to take my family on special occasions from now on. Cannot say enough about our waitress. She was probably the best I've ever had, and I have eaten out a lot. Very knowledgeable and patient with my parents. Thank you Bone Fish!! One word of advice. Make sure you get a reservation. Even on a Thursday night, there were 10-15 people waiting to be seated AFTER we were done. read more

To start with brown paper on the table is not at all romantic. We had the bang bang shrimp to start, heard how great it was,, fried shrimp with cheese wiz on it!! For real?? There is not much of a seafood menu. Only a few fish to chose from. Crab cakes were just a pile of lump crab meat with lemon squirted on them. Fish was past dry. I can eat anywhere and not complain but this was overboard and expensive. Or waiter was very unauthentic, didn't know what to do or when. They were very slow at the time we were there so waiting shouldn't have been an issue. Overal, long johns or capt d's just as good for about 75% discount . Won't be back. Went here the other day and had a half burger and then had some bang bang shrimp tacos. Kitchen was slow for some reason and our food came out a little behind however had a nice manager offer us free desert due to the wait. I have patronized many Bonefish Grills in multiple states where the quality of food and service are top notch. We have been to this location now 3 times and there is never a wait and the bar area is never full. Normally, a Bonefinsh Grill is very busy and the bar area is bustling with patrons. Last night may be the last time we visit this location. The Ahi Tuna Sashimi did not taste fresh (very mushy and soft) and it appeared the plate with the salad and condiments had been in the refrigerator for a while. The soy sauce was even cold. My companions Tilapia was very bland tasting and they left ~25% of it on the plate. Another companion ordered soup and it was brought with the entree. I could understand if they were very busy but this was a Saturday night at 730 PM with empty tables and on a hand full of patrons in the bar. Another disappointment was the Bang Bang Shrimp. This is a featured appetizer and is always a must order item to share. It tasted as if it had been prepared well in advance of the evening as the pieces were very heavily crusted, very soft, and lack the Bang Bang kick. We usually eat all the shrimp and the condiment salad with the dressing, This was not the case last night. Overall as you can read from the review we were disappointed in the quality of the meal and the service was average at best. There are other restaurants in town that offer quality food and better service that we will patron before retrying Bonefish Grill. read more

This is my first time eating here. I farm cattle for a living and am considered quite knowledgeable in beef and how it should be served. I of course got the bone in ribeye. To be fair I'll say it was an excellent cut of meat marbled well and cooked perfectly. When getting the meat it was very tender but biting into it was a different story. This perfect piece of meat was ill prepared, bland, and flavorless. I find it quite a shame to charge $28 for a high dollar price of meat and have no flavor. In my opinion the chef needs to learn how to cook steak. My brother got a fillet. Again this fillet was cooked perfectly and very tender but same result when I tried it. Bland and flavorless. I find it a shame such a high price restaurant would put out such a nice piece of meat but the chef has no earthly idea how to prepare it for flavor. This is my first and most likely last time to come to this establishment, especially to eat steak unless they change chefs and find someone who knows how to prepare steak the correct way. 08/20/17 read more

Very disappointed...again! Probably our last visit to this location. We ordered bang bang shrimp which was the only reason this review even has 2 stars, it was excellent. My order of fish and chips was horrible! The fish was fried till it was a very dark burned color, and hard as a rock! I sent it back. Meanwhile my husbands order was fine, so he ate to prevent his food from becoming cold, he was almost done by the time my food was brought back out. The fish this time was ok, however instead of giving me a fresh new order of fries, the fish was just placed on top of the original, now soggy and mostly cold French fries! Terrible! read more

Horrific. Everything about chain restaurants that I just despise. Went on Saturday evening, 8/1/15. It was busy, had to wait 15 mins for a table, no problem. Get to the table. Have a decent waitress. She's courteous, a little over the top, but trying to get the drinks and tell us what the specials are, etc, etc. Brings drinks. We sit, start looking. She comes back, we order. Easy stuff - salads, oysters, a steak, their special salmon, mashed potato side. Substituted Jasmine rice for one of the sides (veggie of the day which was zucchini and something else). The restaurant begins to slowly empty out, the wait for a table goes to zero, there are empty tables in the restaurant and near us. The wait for food begins to stretch out. And stretch out. And stretch out. Waitress keeps coming back to refill water, check on drinks, get new drinks, etc. After about 45 mins, I ask about the food - status, how much longer, etc. She launches into this thing about "management has been made aware of the service challenge and knows that your order is taking a long time...". Nobody from management ever approached us or talked to us at this point. One hour and twenty minutes after ordering, food comes to the table. This is when it got really bad. A steak ordered rare had been cooked past med well. It was grey inside. The special grilled salmon was small, had been cooked to the point of literally having no moisture inside, and it appeared someone had run over it with a knobby, off-road tire. Clam chowder lukewarm, salads ordered as entree were totally uninspired and were of the most basic definition of salad. Jasmine rice was gummy, like sushi rice, and it someone had run a knife through some greens and tried to mix that into the rice. Under no circumstances was this Jasmine rice. The waitress, recognizing things are wrong, takes the steak back for a re-do and tries to talk to us about how she's not responsible for the kitchen. This is the point at which I normally lose my religion as I don't CARE that she not responsible for the kitchen. But it didn't. Told her about the rice (two of us ordered it). No response. 24 yr-old manager comes to table with the steak re-do. It's a smaller steak, a thinner steak, but it's rare so I guess he figures he's at least at 30%. Other than making sure the steak was rare, he said zilch about anything - the wait, the food, our challenges, etc. All in all, it sucked. We'll be back in the area quite a bit due to a recent family move but I would avoid this place at all costs. It was the lowest level to which a restaurant can sink. We were a party of on Saturday sept. 29. Our server was pleasant enough but had a hard time hiding her impatience . When the check came we included an aarp card with the credit card to get the 10% discount on the entire check that bonefish grill honors. My daughter had a coupon for a free appetizer but couldn't use it with the aarp discount. The server said she would check anyway. I was using the restroom when she returned she said we couldn't use both promotions which I realized ,but she applied the free 8.00$ appetizer because that was a greater savings than 10% off an almost 200.00$ check . I was unaware of this until after we left and my inclination was to let it go however since the server didn't seem brassy enough to assume adults would not know the difference between an 8.00$ credit an an almost 20.00$ credit. Bonefish Grill is a very nice place to go eat at. It's a place I would recommend someone to go for a special occasion. From the time you walk in you are relaxed and happy. The chef coat experience from the servers is just fascinating.The servers are very helpful also. If it is you first time dining there they take the time out to go over the menu with you and what specials they have.The price is a bit large but it is because it is a seafood restaurant. But you will not regret paying it at all because it is worth it.The most exciting appetizer that is recommended to all guess is the Bang Bang Shrimp.The bang bang shrimp is most definitely an appetizer you want forget.. As a beginner I strongly suggest someone to try the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine. It was my first time there and I loved it! Bonefish Grille is a excellent choice for anyone to have a nice romantic and great time. Bonefish was one of our favorite restaurants to get a good quality meal. We had terrible service on mine & my husbands $88 bill. Our waiter was pretty awful. When we initially ordered waters he was visibly annoyed. Our meal was great, but as far as the server he acted like we did not belong and it seemed like he was judging us based on our attire (sorry we didn't get fancied up to go in there dude, but last time I checked your establishment doesn't have a dress code!!!) He just handed me the check and said "Here you go." No thank you, no apologies for our to-go app taking a long time -- nothing! I was cut off by management as I was leaving the restaurant holding a to-go bag, an infant car seat, and a purse. We felt unwelcomed and our business unappreciated. I will not be returning. There are tons of restaurants and servers thankful to get business in this area where we can be picky about where we get our food. I regret giving that guy an 18% tip for sure. I'll drive to the Brentwood location next time I want some bang bang shrimp!! If they keep allowing servers to treat customers this way it'll be closed quick. read more

My experience was not so plesant! Waiters were RUDE! When one gave the wrong drink to me and I said it was not mine and told her who ordered the drink, her reply was "What ever!" Our service at the table was slow and we had to wait for 25 minutes just to get bread. When we paid with a credit card, the card was broken in two when it came back. The waiter did not even tell us! When we asked her what happened, she said "Our machine is hard on the cards!" We asked to speak to a manager and he said he could give us TAPE and tape it back together! I've been going to bonefish grill in Murfreesboro now for over 5 yrs and went again in the last 2 wks, something in management has changed and my experience was not pleasant. Many of the staff was gone and there wasn't that welcoming feeling any longer, it made me and my group very sad and we will not be returning. Sunday Brunch. Food was great when we finally got it. Service was excellent. We would have walked out had it not been for our waitress Hanna P. She kept apologizing for the wait. Was not her fault Wait an hour when the place isn't half full?? On the way out someone let slip they ran out of eggs. REALLY, you are serving Brunch and don't have enough eggs?? Food was good as usual but extremely disappointed in service. I took my wife to bonefish to celebrate her birthday with our friends and we were treated poorly. There were 8 of us total and they decided to give us two waitress' which we thought would be helpful but had no improvement on service. First we were sat with half our party and we waited nearly 20 minutes before we were even given a glass of water. We all had empty glasses all night and the waitresses never seemed to care or ask if we wanted refills. Some plates were brought with out the sides. Sides came 10 minutes later. After complaining to the manager our service continued to get worse. Management never came by and even apologized to our group. There were multiple times everyone in the group felt as though they were playing some crude trick on us. Very poor service. There food is not worth the premium without good service. Overall it was a terrible experience and I would rather eat at other restaurants before wasting time here again. read more

Our eagerly-anticipated evening at the Murfreesboro Bonefish Grill on 5/8/13 was such a disappointment on many counts. First, the estimated wait time was badly misrepresented, by 3X. When we were finally called, it seemed they weren't ready for us after all, so we waited even longer to be seated. The place was crowded - the tables are so close together that there is hardly room to maneuver to get sat down. It was impossible to have a quiet and private conversation without the curious ears of our neighbors; the two of us might as well have all been seated family-style at a long picnic table. While getting settled, we managed to knock the table-edge candle holder onto the floor where it smashed badly; this we were terribly sorry for, until we noticed that the paper table covering was oversize for the tabletop, giving the impression that there was solid surface for an additional inch or two under the paper. Next, we were presented with a sumptuous order of Bang-Bang shrimp, which was absolutely delightful; unfortunately, we hadn't ordered it and should have questioned it immediately rather than thoroughly enjoying it. We were doubly disappointed when it showed up on our bill; only $5, but a lesson learned. Our server was nice enough, if a little pushy, the up-selling got tiresome. Finally, the food was just OK, not the sumptuous pleasure expected. And we learned once again to be careful when ordering beef in a fish joint: the sirloin was tough, dry, and overcooked. All this for a price that should have included a much higher level of quality; we would have likely had a better overall experience at Jason's Deli or Red Robin across the street. Unique food at a high price. Worth the price though. Service is dependent on when you go. If it's a Holiday such as New Years Eve, or group waited in a very packed waiting area by the check in and bar for about 40 minutes, even having a reservation. Then for Mother's Day today 90% of the tables were empty yet they couldn't give us a table because we didn't have a reservation. It was reservation only due to Mother's Day. Our option was to sit at the bar. Even with so few patrons there, and the majority of tables that remained empty until we left over an hour latter, service was very slow. The menu we were given at 10:15Am on a Sunday morning was a special Mother's Day menu and the regular menu with only dinner option. It's hard for me to eat dinner prior to 11:15 on a Sunday morning. When we were finally able to get the watress again... I asked about the missing Sunday brunch option and was told it was by special request only and was a shortened modified version. When she finally got that back to us it had the omelette I was wanting. I stressed gluten free and NO toast and my omelette came with toast on top. More lies from the server. Will not be going back. I enjoyed this location about 4 years ago, but it has steadily gone downhill since. I decided to give it another try last weekend to sample their advertised Dayboat Scallops. The only positive thing I have to say is that our waiter, Danny, was WONDERFUL. He made my visit worth it. The host (didn't catch her name; long curly dark hair) was extremely rude!! She tried to seat us at an extremely small table against a wall in the dining room and we let her know we were willing to wait for a booth. She lead us back to the waiting area near the bar and promptly forgot about us. We waited almost 30 minutes, watching couple after couple leave. Finally, we approached the host stand and watched it "click" on her face that we were still here; no apology. We were sat at a both by another host. Danny greeted our table, and just had an overall great personality. Even though they were out of the scallops, he suggested alternate menu items and was quick to deliver anything we needed. The food was "meh" for $100+ but could have been worse. If we ever did decide to go back, we would only go if we were 100% sure Danny was working! read more

Let me start by saying, I love Bonefish Grill and I try to eat there whenever possible. A friend and I dined at the Bonefish in Murfreesboro, TN on February 27 and while the food was awesome, the service was a nightmare. A long story short....the waiter lost both credit cards - first he could not remember that he picked up our payment, next he said he handed the credit cards/bills to another waiter, then he said he set them at the bar when he picked up drinks, or who knows, maybe they were in the trash. You know, stuff gets thrown out all of the time. Or maybe they were sent home with another customer. The cards were gone. The Managing Partner was of no help. He was the worst example of customer service and assistance. We were traveling from out of town and the restaurant had "lost" our credit cards. How does this happen? Don't restaurants have a protocal for waiters to follow regarding payments? After an hour my friend and I left Bonefish without our credit cards. A phone call was received later in the evening letting us know that the cards had been located.....in the freezer. What? Freezer? What waiter goes into a walk-in freezer? Thankfully, there was no fraudulent activity on the cards since we canceled them before we left. We will never know if this was a "scam" or not, but I do kow this, I will never return to the Bonefish Grill in Murfreesboro, TN. Fraudulent activity or not, this was inexcusable. read more
