The journey started a year ago in an attempt to plan a multi-family reunion. Bonelli was a perfectly, central location so we decided to go for it. From day 1, Shane V. And team were the biggest help and so supportive in what felt like a big undertaking. Shane helped coordinate our camp sites and location and throughout an ENTIRE YEAR of TIME stuck with us the whole way through. His time, effort, consistent communication and professionalism really kept this feeling organized from the beginning. Been camping at Bonelli Campground for many years and over the past couple of years, my experiences have not been good; Specifically, today. We went to Bonelli campground this morning to see what they had available. As we visited the "available" sites they had, we chose a site with shade and conveniently located near the pool and playground. We booked our reservation (in the front office) and paid for it. With check-in not being until 1:00 pm, we went back home to get the RV washed up, stocked with food supplies, and all other necessities that are required for camping. We head back (to our paid campsite) at approximately 2:00 pm, and there's a trailer with a vehicle, and a couple detailing vehicles parked there. I kindly let the detailer know that they were in our campsite and he looked at me surprised, stating to (in Spanish) that it was Vanessa's mom who was in that spot; come to find out, Vanessa is an employee of Bonelli Bluffs. So, after going back and forth with the manager (the manager Wyatt confirmed that she did not have a reservation), a ("higher manager", Albert) offered to give us a different spot, which I refused as it had no shade, and in my previous stay, we had our bicycles stolen in a similar spot and "that was not Bonelli's Responsibility". Basically, there wasn't a solution to the problem, other than to allow the employee's family to remain there, which the lady at the site said she "had the site until Monday". Yes they offered a discount but not the site I wanted and was a total inconvenience to myself and my family that was planning on visiting. Futhermore, an employee's family member gets the benefit of a complimentary stay; if she had paid, the spot wouldn't have shown "available". The lady also claimed she had no way of moving it as somebody dropped it off for her. Good one! Yet she had her SUV there and had the detailers working on it for her. I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but this really made my day bad as we were looking forward to it. I will also be writing to their corporate office once I figure out which corporation took over. Additionally, as a county employee, I am disappointed that LA County sold it to such a corporation. read more

Had such a wonderful time. The park was clean and everyone was so helpful. We were a large party of over 40 people for several nights. Shane helped us immensely with keeping all of our guests in the same camping area, and with any needs that we had such as extra picnic tables. One of my favorite RV parks. we went for the fourth weekend. It was a bit disappointed. There's no control on how many guests are allowed to come to each campsite. In the campsite in front of us there was almost 50 people on that campsite and more than five cars in fact, they were asking many of us if they could park in our spots. It just became a bit too much. In addition the park really needs to work on getting better Wi-Fi and upgrading the pool. read more

Cool spot for casual intro camping, but not if you want the full wilderness experience. I didn't get any photos of our camp spot, but the bring your own tent (BYOT lol) area is limited. You are perched away on a small hill with 3 shared fire pits between about 6 - 8 different tent sites. So if you want your own fire pit and privacy I definitely recommend some place else or else you'll be rolling the dice if people are there before you. This also isn't the best place for getting lost in nature as there is lots of light pollution from street lights, RV's, campers and cars coming in and out. You also have great cellular reception - so, if you want that full wilderness experience with a technology break, definitely check out parks further out. Reservations for tent sites are all done via telephone so be sure to call! As of the last date I went in Jan it was $31 to reserve a tent spot and fire wood bought from the campground was $15. (A bit pricey for sharing). The bring your own tent spots are also NOT next to or near the lake! Keep that in mind if you wanted to night fish! The pro is that the tent spot is close to the bathroom and the bathrooms do have showers! I will say this place is very RV and camper heavy with the main bulk of it being RV's - so if you have an RV or enjoy glamping this is an awesome spot! read more

It was my first time visiting this RV park. It was clean and very family oriented. Thebfront office staff was very helpful and made check in easy. I was in and out in under 2 minutes. They provided a map for easy navigation and offer all sorts of spots for small gatherings or very large gatherings. Prices are reasonable. Staff drives around park to ensure everything is OK and answes and any questions or concerns. Will definitely come.back soon! Many trails to walk and get a good view of the city.​ read more

What can I say I spent Memorial Day here and wow. First facility is very clean and well maintained the staff look like they are on top of everything. Restrooms are super clean the market place well stocked. Again I can't say enough about the staff. I ran into a staff member Ben at the market area while I was restocking. It happened to be he was the manager for the facility. He was very friendly and even though he was dealing with a water leak he mentioned, he still took his time and showed us around and answered all our questions. Like I mentioned earlier the staff seemed like they were in sync. We thanked Ben and we were on our way. Great job we will be coming back again and recommending this place to all our friends. I love the sites we stay in. I am staying here multiple times this summer. They are clean and everything works. Today Saturday they are having an art contest (kids making pin wheels). They have plenty of staff in the office. But, do not expect much from the owners. The services for a place this size is weak. The company is another question. The sites are not cheap. And they nickel and dime you on fees. Pet fee, over two people per site fee, and there are others. There pool is not heated. With all these site I cannot believe they have no hot food. Not even HH a I have not seen any real events They have no jacuzzi. They have a horse shoe pits but nothing for it you have to bring your own your shoes and polls. They have no fax (even at a cost). They only have internet at the office (it's free & no password). The store staff is always very nice. The office staff is very professional, kinda friendly. The park is great. The company that runs the park is not close to my extra standards. I will keep coming here for this summer. But, then look for a new place. The park site areas are one of the best I have seen. The staff were all very nice and accommodating and the place looks great. Our biggest concern was that in certain sections (we stayed in section "F" the spaces are so tight. With all of the extra vehicles if you came in later in the evening you will be hard pressed to get thru the streets let alone back into your space. I would highly recommend that when you book your space to ask about access especially if you have anything over 26' We would absolutely stay again just plan better on the space. read more

It's my second time here. If you are looking for something local and beautiful to get away from all the city noise. This place is great, staff is Amazing. Not crazy like other campgrounds. Quiet respectful campers. There is an airport near by, I noticed a plain here and there but was not an other. It's a small airport. We have been coming to Bonelli for years. The customer service is fine. I have no complaints except for one minor thing. When we checked in, the gentlemen asked if I knew how to get to my spot. i told him yes and he said, ok, enjoy your stay and gave me our parking permit. I did not get a welcome packet like most campgrounds that have info such as rules, phone numbers to call, or any important info you need to know while staying. Bonelli has lways been one of very few campgrounds in the Southern California area that allow full-timers. It was not a big deal because the full-timer's trailers, many years ago, did not look so horrible. Over the years, I have noticed a serious decline. When the new owners took over and changed the name from Puddingstone to "Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort & Campground", I thought, wow, they are going to make some upgrades. In fact, when we checked in shortly after the new ownership, we were given a sheet of paper that listed out ALL the upgrades and changes they had planned, that would bring this campground to a "resort" status. Here we are, at least 5 years later, and not one single upgrade. There is still no Wi-Fi available. I haven't checked if it works near the store but, even still, it should be available throughout the campground. Still no jacuzzi. Pool is still super basic and does not heat up. Roads are atrocious and getting worse as time goes by. Poor kids can't safely roller skate, skateboard, or ride bikes without fear of hitting a pot hole and falling or jarring their backs each time they ride. The trees are not maintained. We had to get up on our trailer to trim a tree because it would have caused damage to the top of our trailer. This is an RV park, with RV's. The trees should reflect that in how they are maintained. The park only has one store with a small selection of items at a very high cost (ex. One single vanilla ice cream sandwich was $4). You are definitely paying for the convenience. This brings me back to the full-timers. My message to the owners is this: decide if you are going to be an "RV Resort" or a "mobile home park". I do not want to book a camping trip to find out my neighbor is a full-timer with a trailer from the 60's that has not been washed or maintained since the day it was purchased. Don't get me wrong, I am 100% fine with living in a mobile home park but, you can't have both and simply make no investment back into the property. If you do come here, stick with the spots that overlook the lake or airport. Those are truly the nicest spots with less full-timers in the surrounding areas. I truly hope the owners consider re-investing into the property as they initially said they were. I am very disappointed they came in hot with a laundry list of things they were going to do to improve the park and nothing, I mean nothing, has been done since. One last thing. Theft is a huge problem here from what I can see. In years past, we have had a very expensive mountain bike stolen from right outside our trailer, with the door open! In reading other, more recent reviews, it seems theft is still an issue. If you have nice stuff and want to take a walk or leave the park, you have to pack up and secure all your valuables every single time. Sadly, you should be able to take a walk and not worry about things but, you can't. Not here. As long as you know that in advance, you and your stuff should be fine. I am really surprised theft is such an issue because they have a guard shack at the front and they have staff drive by literally every 10-15 minutes. Clearly, based on recent reviews, this is still not sufficient. Maybe consider installing some security cameras or have better lighting at night. Those alone are a deterrence. read more

This place has a lot of sites to pick from with nice views and big spots. They are overpriced compared to other campgrounds we've been to. Make sure you DO NOT buy ice here!!! We bought one small bag and one big bag and it was $18!!!! That's just gouging!!! Very disappointing!! They offered us a special of adding a 3rd night & we declined because we had somewhere to be that day. Our plans changed so we went to the office and asked if we could add that and they said No it had to be done when we booked it, which is ridiculous!! How hard is it just to add the extra day. It was a Tuesday and the park was pretty empty. There were two nice people at the front desk that we dealt with and one very rude lady. Bathrooms need more maintenance. read more

Our scouting group has camped here several times but no more. Parking is not consistent - especially with the group spots. Front desk and group sales say one thing (10 spots) yet when you get there, they fail to enforce the parking. Why would I bring a large group here again? Bathrooms are NOT kept up. Maintenance is signing the sheets but there is never soap, paper towels or toilet paper. You can call maintenance and they say they'll come but they don't actually. Toilet seats in the wilderness restroom have been broken for at least a year. I didn't think they were that expensive given the rates they charge. Not to mention the last time we were there, the maintenance guy was downright racist. Even though management has changed - he's still employed there and with everything else... it's a hard pass. read more

It's pretty solid overall. I compare this campground to Yucaipa Regional..both large open areas for kids on bikes, outdoorsy type places. For fishing, bonelli is better but you still gotta pay to enter the formal lake areas because you don't get access but to about 25% of the shoreline from the RV park and it's definitely busy/over fished. The campground is nicer, they have some swings and areas for kids but I was expecting a little more for the cost as far as amenities go for kids (no park area). The pool was okay but not heated and otherwise it's a fairly decent campground with a nice market and staff driving through the entire time. I didn't experience any theft, but overall the 4/5 is simply the higher cost for the value. Yucaipa is 50% of the cost and if I had to choose between the two the only difference I find is that bonelli is 10 mins from my house so I'd prefer to go there. If you don't mind driving and convenience isn't a factor then I'd say Yucaipa is better bang for buck. read more

The good: Large, well maintained sites, very quiet and peaceful for the most part, HUGE number of walking/mountain biking trails, tank disposals at website, lots of dumpsters. Showers had good hot water. The bad (or not so good): The price, especially considering detractions: no WiFi available for campers (except if sitting right outside community center), unheated and open air bathrooms, often shower stalls dirty (hair on walls and on top of drains). Much more expensive than other State Parks we've stayed in that offered better amenities. They do not give discounts for staying multiple days, which makes it very expensive to stay for more than a few. We stayed mostly due to hiking availability, but ended paying hundreds of dollars for the convenience. Definitely not luxurious, but it was adequate. read more

Once upon a time for Thanksgiving I survived a trip to the largest, most crowded RV Park, I have ever seen! I am no stranger to RV Parks. I have been around. I have never been so relieved to leave an RV park in one piece. It was clean, I didn't actually see the restrooms, but my girl called them "adequate", with plenty of paper goods. Her brothers (elderly men) were quite pleased with the location and amenities, especially the "hookups"! Apparently, there are some slots that have a nice view of the water. Been coming to Bonelli for years its my favorite place to go but unfortunately the grounds are becoming run down in the past years the fact that more and more people can live there is concerning it use to be a certain area that had full time living in but now half the trailers are old with decrepit sheds living everywhere and thats concerning when staying with children and who's living there. we stayed this last weekend that has been an annual mother's Day trip this time we specifically stayed near the pool but the water was green and the pool was closed no one told us not even when checking in I found out from the neighbor that was a big reason for staying in section B the street is tore up I had 2 kids fall really bad right infont of our camp due to the damaged street, large parts of the grass was dead and our pad was dirty and stained like it hadn't been rinsed off in months I was highly disappointed this time. I also read a post about the store being overpriced my sister forgot coffee creamer and paid $10 at the store thats a crazy price. read more

Serious theft Problem!! We spent the 4th of July holidays there and in two days some came through and stole 10 ebikes. one of our members went to the front office to inform them and was met with the worst attitude towards a victim of a crime and according to our member it was the manager!!! It's one thing to victimize but another to be met with a cavilier attitud, no empathy what's so ever. Word to the wise, lock if you camp there lock everything up because there are no cameras and the park security is only concerned with loud music apparently. read more

We had a space in A section that was quiet and although did not have a lake view, afforded us a pleasant stay mini vacay. Many years ago I believe I wrote a review. I love this campground, but today the most disappointing review. I've ever made My husband and I went this past weekend and the bathrooms were extremely dirty. The one toilet was broken. I had to call 5 times Before anyone came to clean it or take out the trash, they's would stop by and look at it and continue to leave. I could not believe this was the same campground. I was at last year. The best part of this campground is that they clean the bathrooms every 4 hours. This time, I was there for 3 days and literally had to beg them to clean it, because the trash wasn't full to the top. They didn't want to take it out, but the problem was that there was no trash can outside of the bathroom. So people were throwing their dog poop and their baby's dirty diapers inside of the bathroom. So, it didn't smell really nice. That's why I was asking For them to take the trash out on the first night, I was there. It was Friday. I just assumed that it was dirty after they cleaned it. So I did a little cleaning myself. I couldn't believe I had to clean the bathroom. It was so dirty. I wouldn't use it then. Saturday came and nothing and Sunday. The same. This was very disappointing. I go there at least 3 times a year and it makes me really sad that I don't think I will be going back because of that. They also had a huge issue booking wrong and leaving people stranded, I offered the people to stay on our campsite, because they were so nice, although it was crowded, they were very grateful to us and gladly moved to our site, which was one over. We were campsite number 2, and they were campsite. Number one turns out the people that booked to didn't even use the campsite. So those poor people who had taken hours, 2 move their campsite, had to go back to campsite. Number one, it was a full day of moving back-and-forth. I felt terrible for them. It was so unfair and so rude and the people were not accommodating. I understand right now. They were having a power outage, but they pretty much treated everyone like crap I do not recommend this place.No longer and it makes me sad. read more

My friends are at the Bonelli Bluffs RV park and invited me to their campout and BBQ! This beautiful facility is 10 minutes from my home, but nature's beauty feels like I am a hundred miles away. Checking in was easy at the kiosk at the entrance, simply provide your name and reservation number. There is a little convenience store on the grounds in case you forgot something. There are numerous firepits, picnic tables, clean bathrooms throughout the grounds. Surrounded by tall trees and a breeze, we were very comfortable. We had a beautiful view of Bonelli Lake where swimmers, fishing and boating activities were open for everyone. With all the comforts of home with their luxurious RV, we brought food and drinks to share. A good time was had by all. read more

This is our second time here and stayed in F area. It is only 30 min from us and we need to make it here more often. It felt we were further away from city limits but we were only in San Dimas. Staying near the lake and watching all the water fowl come and go was a very peaceful experience. We came in as there was a NHRA event nearby and stayed from Sun thru Wed so it was crowded with group camping but the campground cleared out come monday. We didn't have a fire ring, which was ok as we have a portable fire pit. The permanent residents nearby were very friendly and gave us some good tips to back in. read more
