I'm a local, and I've eaten here a few times with my wife--usually ordering a salad or something light. It's always been good. But on our most recent visit, we both ordered something more substantial. We ordered the lasagna and chicken parmigiana. All I can say is WOW! It was some of the best Italian food I've ever had in my life. (My mother is Italian, and all of my relatives are very opinionated about what even qualifies as true Italian food.) It was absolutely fantastic. And I have to say, it's all about the sauce they used. They nailed it! If you come here, make sure to order one of these dishes. The lasagna was our favorite. read more

Adorable bistro off if Main street. Snuggle near the fireplace. Fresh salads, pastries, homemade soup. Soft music in the background. I order the Adriatic salad. It had tabbouleh.hummusdolmas. greens with a light balsamic dressing. The chicken artichoke soup was great. Thick and hearty. Very interesting taste. Salad was great. Portion is generous. Fresh. Being from out of town and looking for a healthy alternative to burgers and heavy lunch options has been a challenge. Fortunately we found Bonelli's Bistro!! The food was fresh, flavorful, and on point. We each got salads which were both filling and tasty. The special spicy black bean soup was a nice compliment on this rainy day. The staff were equally impressive making us out of owners feel like we were regulars. Several people asked how are meals were and if we needed anything. The menu offers sandwiches and salads that aren't common in the Flathead and I've always found my food to be attractively plated and tasty. Orders are taken at the counter and delivered to the table when it's ready. The indoor dining area is pleasant but the outside patio is nicer if the weather is good. They also offer Italian entrees which I haven't tried and a soup or two. read more

It is genuinely not even funny how good this place is. I'm a visitor from Texas and honestly have not been super impressed by the food in Kalispell, but this was a game changer. Firstly, all the servers are so wonderful- just from how they treat us to how they talk to one another. I have to eavesdrop but they all just seemed to be good coworkers, but especially (maybe) friends. The menu isn't the biggest but still has options for everyone. I think this is what really makes this place- the menu wasn't overwhelming or repetitive. Simple, clean, easy on the eyes. I ordered the eggplant parm but another guest at our table ordered the Zucca (?) pasta. Both were to die for but oh, my God this pasta. Again CLEAN! The veggies and meat were both fresh and full of flavor. It wasn't a ton of random shit on a plate, not an overwhelming amount of sauce. Just incredible. The eggplant parm was a bit heavier but not in a bad way at all. The breading was very well seasoned and perfectly crunchy. The red pepper soup was also packed with flavor. We come here quite regularly as it's not far from our office. The food is always fantastic, and the place is always full so you know it's good! I'd plan on a 20-45 minute wait for your lunch on weekdays. It's worked for us because we just have a meeting or discussion while waiting for our food but if you are in a rush this isn't for you. They don't answer their phones during peaks times which is actually nice for the in house guests. They do not have online ordering, which would be nice! read more

Wow Bonelli's Bistro!!! Their food is amazing and Jeff has a passion for hospitality that is rare to see in the industry now a days!!! We recently used Bonelli's Bistro for catering for a friends wedding. I took on organizing the catering after seeing my friend stressed about the Food and Beverage side of the wedding. Being in Hospitality and management for 12 years 6 most recently overseas I thought no biggie. Come to find out not many people want to help cater on Valentines Day. After reviewing quite a few restaurants and catering companies in the Flathead I couldn't quite find the right product mix and pricing we were looking for. During the process Bonelli's Bistro sent us a message, as I had an add up for help with catering online. They said they would be happy to help!! Coming from Spokane to organize the wedding I fell a bit behind. Things were not going as smoothly as planned. A Bit behind and 60 hungry people ready to eat Jeff shows up with the food. He saw that the back of house was a bit behind and stuck around for 2 hours to help with plating and cleanup. Jeff was happy positive and passionate about their food and the way it went out on the plates. Everyone raved about the food and ask who catered the wedding, 10/10 for Bonelli's Bistro!! Might I add after 12 years in hospitality and management I've never written a review. Nothing impresses me good or bad, Overseas or State side. If you have a good experience and someone goes above what's expected it could be considered just part of the job. If you have a bad experience in hospitality you understand why. This is in regard to a to-go lunch order. There are no prices listed on their website, and the Yelp menu prices are not up to date ( just so others are not shocked when prices are higher, such as my wrap was $5.75 higher than the Yelp menu price). They charged .75 per item ordered to go as well as an automatic 18% gratuity..for a to go order ( we had 7 lunch entrees ordered). I have never been charged an automatic gratuity for pick-up orders ANYWHERE. This was not indicated to the person who placed the lunch order, a day in advance. We found out about the additional charges after the order was picked up. There is no indication of these additional charges on their website, so their employee should have told us about these charges beforehand so we could have chosen to order elsewhere. I gave them 1 star. The food is just "okay." The orders everyone had were decent, but the side is a salad when you order a sandwich or wrap. They put the salad and cup of dressing in the same container as the warm entree, so you end up with warm, wilty salad. Gross. I won't be back to this establishment. read more

Thank heavens this family came to town and opened this restaurant. Thank you! Bonelli's has raised the bar in the Flathead by giving the health minded, vegan, and vegetarian minorities in the valley something to rally around. Never had anything I didn't like here. The lines can be long during peak serving hours, so you may want to call ahead. What I enjoy about Bonelli's is the bold, fresh, and lively energy they posses. It just shines through in the food. Go back and take a look at those photos on other posts. Yumm. The daughters all work well together running under the strong leadership of Dad who runs a tight and well organized operation. Our first time here it's conveniently located by our attorneys office. I had the caprese salad on crostini which was a minuscule portion for a hefty price tag. I know it's an appetizer but it was a joke even in that regard. My husband had a sandwich which he said was very weak and had nothing to it. He said it barely had any meat. He said for 12.00 it should be filled with meat! It was the philly sub, a no go. Agreed there are better options out there. The carpets needed to be cleaned as well and the cashier made sure to point out to make sure we leave her a tip on their tablet point of sale system... Two stars because the coffee was very good a syrup flavored cappuccino. I would return for coffee and a pastry and skip the lunch menu. read more

Great restaurant and service. Downtown Kalispell doesn't have many options since the pandemic it seems that no one can get/retain employees, but this place is a gem! We had the chicken parm and polpette marinara with soup and salad. Everything was very fresh, homemade, and hot (except the salad). ;). The salad dressings are homemade, which to me is a sign of a good quality restaurant. Try the bleu cheese vinaigrette or the garlic ranch. Our server was Sam and she was personable and efficient. We came here 10 minutes before they closed. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We ordered a Portobello Panini and Turkey club wrap. Most places I've been to don't make Paninis the way they were intended. Bonelli's was spot on. Crispy outside and soft and warm inside! A perfect sandwich. The Club wrap was grilled too. Our server(sorry I didn't ask your name) was as sweet as could be. We asked if she would mind making it to go and we could eat out in the covered patio area so they could get cleaned up to close. She made sure we were well taken care of and didn't feel rushed. They even came out to check on us after they had closed. Great service. Fantastic food. I highly recommend them. This place is great, I was very impressed. I ate here with my husband, toddler, and my difficult to please parents (and mom has a list of food sensitivities). I have an allergy to dairy. They were super duper accommodating about food sensitivities, and very patient with our ordering process. There are a ton of options for those with food sensitivities, which is so rare. We all ordered sandwiches, even for toddler. They didn't mind our destructive little dynamo attempting to dismantle their restaurant while we waited for our order (we try to keep a lid on his crazy but he's still a toddler and we're not magicians). The sandwiches all came with a salad, which I love. I always try to get salad instead of fries usually so this saved a step! Their dressings appeared to be homemade and were super tasty. They use local organic produce which I also love. The sandwiches themselves were just delightful. My dad is super picky and tends to only look for the negative at restaurants. He got the blt and absolutely raved! My mom got something in a rice wrap and loved it. I got an Italian meat sub with no cheese or pesto and it was great, the meat was good quality, bread was high quality, tons of flavor. My sons meal was fantastic, especially for a kids meal. He got the mini meatball sub and it wasn't mini! Out of this world homemade flavor. My husband got the Philly sandwich thing and said it was great. I just love this little bistro! I had one of there wrqps and some soup was delicious and very fresh I also had a coffee and that was very tasty as well! The people that worked there were very nice and helpful . The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing. The only thing that I have to say a little negative was that it is hard to find parking but I think everything else outdoes that fact. I would recommend at least trying this bistro once!! read more

Fresh food. Nicely prepared and presented. Reasonable prices. Plenty of stuff for non-meat eaters, too. There may even be vegan stuff. (Oh, you'll eat animals again someday. You're just going through a phase.) Arrived at 1:15 p.m., figuring I'd missed the lunch crowd. Nope. Stood in line at the counter for seven minutes, gave my order to the friendly, helpful staffer. Paid. Found a table. When I walked in I had the sense that I'd be lucky to eat in 25; the place was packed. Surprise, my meal arrived in another five. Apparently it is like this for much of the lunch period. Don't let the queue deter you. Good sign: More locals than tourists, perhaps in part because it is off the main road through town. Maybe Kalispellians--or whatever they call themselves--know a good thing when they find it. Flatheaders? Naw, they wouldn't call themselves that, would they? Sole complaint: The soup arrived warmish rather than hot. I should have sent it back, but it was good enough even at the less than ideal temperature to polish off a large bowl of it.
