Our first time to Boneyard BBQ was delightful but pricy. It was late lunchtime on Friday, and was not crowded. We met the owner, gis name is Shot, cool name; and the food was great. I had the pork ribs with sweet potato waffle fries and okra. It was all good. My wife had the fried fish and shrimp with mac-n-cheese and Brunswick stew. The fish and shrimp were huge and tasty, the stew she said was awesome, but the mac-n-cheese just ok. I love the self-serve soda fountain, and large seating area. All chairs and tables seating, no booths, but lots available. The counter helper wad also our server. We paid close to $40 for two lunches. read more

First time stopping for lunch in Reidsville and found the spot with the most trucks in the lot for lunch. Sauced pork was really great and steak fires were good as well. Instinct told me that a BBQ place that has baked beans and Brunswick stew on the menu meant the stew is not a stand out and my instinct was right. So I'm in town and I decided to visit here for the first time. When I walked in I felt like in was a black woman in the 50's dining in a "no coloreds allowed" restaurant but it wasn't like that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Okay for the food.. I got a half chicken dinner. I felt like they were very stingy with the sauce. The chicken was okay but when I got to the breast it was a little dry. My first taste of the potato salad was not a pleasant one but as I continued to eat it I felt it was edible. The Mac and cheese didn't have much flavor to it. It wasn't terrible it just wasn't good. The best thing I can say about this meal is that the tea was good. I don't think I'll be back but I suggest you try it for yourself. Everyone has a different taste. The decorations and atmosphere of the place was very nice. read more

OH MY GOD... That Sprite was amazing...!!! In Reidsville for the day, looking for something to eat. Drove past the sign "BONEYARD BBQ", said, "Yeah man...!!!BBQ." made a u-turn and went inside... That was MISTAKE #1 Ordered a RIB PLATE... That was MISTAKE #2 The ribs...Greasy, bland in taste and cold. The M&C... (well, the mac and yellow stuff) was just BAD The green beans... Horrible taste. This is my second review of Boneyard BBQ. My first was right after start-up at this location & they had start-up issues! I can say with absolute confidence that Shot has overcome all those issues! The meats are great, tender & full of flavor! The sides are outstanding, portions are generous, service is good & prompt! All of this at a reasonable price, in a spotlessly clean restaurant. Great little bbq place. The potato salad was incredible and the portions were great sizes. Every at the table was pleased with their meals.

I stumbled onto this place when I was in Reidsville for business. What a gem! I had looked for a place to eat on this site and came across this place. I am not much of a BBQ eater, but I noticed that the menu had a huge variety of other items that I could order. The place was not too crowded for a weekday and very clean. Restroom was very clean and supplied. I ordered the 2 piece fish special. It came with fried okra, it was hot with a light batter with no gritty cornmeal in it, which ruins it for me. The okra was tender and batter fried crisp. It was the best fried okra I have ever had. Next, I subbed fries for onion rings. I think those came from the freezer and they were okay. Would have loved to seen what they could do with sliced Vidalia onions. Ah, but the fish! it was 2 generous pieces of a fish similar to catfish. The waitress (who was wonderful, by the way) told me what kind of fish but I can't remember. It came out steaming hot! Wonderful light, flour batter and did not need anything added to it except a little bit of salt and pepper. The best fried fish I have ever had in the south and I have lived here for 40 years! My friend ordered the loaded baked potato with brisket on top. It came with all kinds of toppings and then a generous scoop of tender brisket added on top. She ordered a side of Brunswick stew. The brisket was tender and shredded to perfection on top of a huge perfectly cooked potato. The brisket came without sauce, so you could add several choices that were in squeeze bottles on each table. She was raised in the south and said this was the best BBQ and Brunswick stew she had ever had. The unsweetened tea could have been a little bit stronger. My friend said the sweet tea was good. All of the staff were fantastic and were able to answer any question about the food, how it was prepared and what it had in it. They were quick to help me to get things to the table as I am handicapped and cannot carry a tray and walk. I will eat here again. Whether I am passing through or take a drive. Did the drive through and it was ready when i got there. Got the 2 combo ribs and brisket. Ribs were dynamite fall off the bone delicious. Brisket was delicious and so much. Fries and fried okra was awesome. Such a great value for All the food you get. Loved it and def will be back. read more

Been going here for a few years. Always smiling ladies to help you w order. Always fresh and hot, and I like the drive up window which I use the most. They have a barbecue I buy that already has sauce in it or dry. I Ike the sauced best for sure! read more

Great bbq! It's not the best I've ever had but it is good if you're looking to get a taste of something different. I would prefer a different range in bbq sauce, I tend to like mines sweet and not too tangy. The ribs are flavorful with other spices though so it is good even if you don't like the bbq sauce. Traveling thru the area with some coworkers and we decided to try this place out. The 4 stars shows it was pretty good bbq and it was a neat and clean place. Very professional staff was very courteous. I had the rib and bbq combo plate and it was plenty of food and very good. What a find...just happened on Boneyard BBQ and so glad we did. Locally owned and terrific (huge) pork ribs. All the sides we had were very good...baked beans had just a bit of heat to them but my favorite was the sweet potato fries. Only certain things are good like the drinks the tea is sweet and the lemonade is sweet but that's all I like.

Delicious! Ate fried shrimp and fish. Large battered shrimp, wonderful tartar sauce (which is half the reason I eat shrimp). Fish were great also. Will definitely return soon. read more
