But-select your ingredients for the size bowl you have and they cook/grill it fresh. I had a regular, my wife a small (add egg and yum yum sauce.) Almost $40 for lunch for 2. It can be a balancing act to fill your bowl-they let you stack as high as you can. They bring it to the table. The food was good, tasty, and hot. I've been to a lot of Mongolian food restaurants, but this place is worse than any place I've been. First, the meat that supposed to be frozen until cooked, is raw at room temperature just sitting out until someone wants it. 2 white girls just mope around other damn cell phone until someone walks in. Cooks act pissed off, like it's our fault they suck. Menu really doesn't have much to choose from. moo alcohol! Messy, which is hard to understand why. No customers, I was alone in the place, if that any clue to how bad it is. Can't say much as for flavor, different things make what you pick. It taste good, but we'll see if I get sick in a couple days. I won't go back. This is a unique restaurant. You order your bowl size and whether you want rice or noodles first. You can also choose whether or not you want an egg on your bowl. You then proceed to a table with meats and veggies. You put as much as you want of these in the cup they give you. You can also add sauces or seasoning. At the end you place your cup on another table and go sit down at your table. From there they take it and mix with the rice or noodle of your choice and cook it. They put it in the bowl size that you had picked in the beginning and bring it to your table. The staff was helpful and friendly and it was a great place for our fairly large group to sit and just enjoy being with each other. Since we basically chose our own food we were all able to have exactly what we wanted. It's a fun and different experience. We all enjoyed our food here and the portions even for the kids size are very large. I would definitely go here again. read more

I have went to Bonfire Mongolian Grill multiple times and am pleased every single time I go. It is a little bit different as you are creating your own original dish, but it's fun as you throw everything in to the bowl and see what the end result is. Don't think too much that everyone with unwashed hands is hovering over raw meat and grabbing it with tongs as they put it in their bowl. Something that some people may not realize, is that you can overfill your bowl. You don't have to stop at the 'top' of the bowl as you fill your bowl. Just as long as your items don't fall out of the bowl - you're fine. Food is delicious and the fiery alcoholic drinks are definitely different. Glancing over the reviews, I've never had any problems with the service. Service expectations should be the same as if you were at buffet, give me empty bowl and my drink - and drop off my check. The only thing I would change, is that they are closed for a brief hour during lunch time, believe it's around 3PM - so if you're looking for a late lunch, you might have to look elsewhere. read more

Getting the egg is always a good choice and here's a pro tip, do your veggies first and then anything frozen, then use the raw meats like chicken, beef, or pork kalbi on top to hold everything together. Our birthday party consisting of eight very hungry people arrived in separate cars. This was my first time to eat here. So many choices of starches, meats, seafood, fruits, sauces, and seasonings to choose from. I'm extremely sensitive to MSG. When we placed our order I was assured there wasn't MSG in anything served. I ordered the small brown rice bowl. I chose fried calamari as my appetizer with the sweet chili sauce. For my entree, I filled up the bowl with my vegetables and fruits of choice. I chose plum sauce and chipotle, chili pepper seasonings. Ice water was my beverage. The fried calamari was absolutely perfect! The bowl calamari rings and bay scallops were awesome! A family member had baked and brought a Black Forest Cherry cake for the birthday man. (My first born. When I buy my own car, I definitely will eat at this restaurant again. I've watched service and quality diminish in a 2-3 yr span. Cross contamination is a huge problem here. To top it off there is a filthy rug adjacent to the line where all the raw food is and I watched a worker take it and waft it off standing right next to the food, I reported my concerns to the manager on duty and she simply said, "I will talk to my team" all the while paying customers were gearing up to start plating that same food, it would have been a disservice to not tell them knowing what I know, it was their first time there and they even mentioned "this place looks kind of dingy" they ended up leaving of course. This place asks for a tip up front but completely neglect cleaning tables, mopping floors, and cleaning debris. I've never been a huge fan of Mongolians grills as I always seem to get an upset stomach afterward; but my husband really likes them so I decided to give this one a try. I like the idea that you choose what size bowl you want and the starches you want are not added in until the end when the food is put on the grill; so the bowl is only filled with as many meats/veggies that you want. I thought it was a buffet by the line on the right. Either way we got sat and handed our menus. I was even more confused when I saw the menu because it was so little. Luckily, our server was nice and explained it to us. You pick the size bowl you want. You pay by the bowl size. Then you go to the "buffet" line. You fill your bowl up with whatever you want. First is meat and then veggies. The rice and noodles get added by the cooks. Once you fill your bowl up you set it at the end with your ticket. Then go sit down. They'll cook it and bring it to you. This spot is so delicious! I don't usually for Mongolian but after the first time I been begging for people to come back with me and WE DID!!! We also tried the their Dracula Margarita and it was so GOOD! Our waitress was a sweet girl who was super attentive, wish I could remember her name!! She worked our booth in the right corner parallel the bar... I had the Hocus Pocus shirt and hair in my bun. 10/24 around 1:30-2:00pm... Well, the wait is over and Bonfire is finally open! Not really much to write about here though. Good was good, a pretty good selection of sauces as well. We started off with the shrimp and crispy green beans appetizers. Both were served with their version of the famous Yum, Yum sauce. The beans and shrimp were very good..cooked extremely well and crispy. The Yum, Yum sauce was heavy on the horseradish. I filled my extra large bowl with beef and shrimp as my protein while my wife chose chicken and shrimp. We both selected the lowmein noodles. My veggies of choice were mushrooms (thankful that they were fresh), onions, and bean sprouts. I topped it all off with the Siracha Bourbon sauce. My wife added opinions and zuchinni with a mixture teriyaki and Thai chilli sauces. Both meals were prepared quickly and brought to our table. Everything tasted very good, but I don't think it's worth an extra star to bring my review to 4...If I could give it 3.5 stars I would, but I can't. I think you can pretty much get the same thing at most Chinese buffets here in town. I would definitely recommend it to others though because I think everyone should try it for themselves. read more

Food might be okay, but the service was so terrible we walked out. We requested a table outside and were promptly told that we would have to wait since the server was double sat. Normally, I'd be very understanding, but she had two tables total... we wait 15 minutes and the hostess got so behind on seating tables that us and three other families were waiting to be sat and then she disappeared again. Nightly drink specials aren't going to help this place survive. A decent wait staff and hostess to actually seat paying customers would definitely help sales on a Thursday night. read more

I'd give this place a 2/10. It is over priced for what you get, extremely dirty, and the employees lack any sort of customer service. The lady behind the bar was on her phone from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The cashier was OK but too busy watching TV to say goodbye or even acknowledge us. Other than 1 other lady we were the only customers in the building. There was food on the floor, counters were wet and sticky, tables hadn't been properly cleaned (crumbs and leftover food behind the napkin dispenser), food and crumbs on the seat, food/sauce dried on the wall, and under the soda machines was gross. Literally no one was cleaning anything. Back home Mongolian Grill is all you can eat for one price. You could have as much meat and veggies as you wanted, sides of white rice or vegetable fried rice, wraps etc. There were no extra sauces (hoisin, teriyaki, peanut etc) or sesame seeds etc. Pretty bland and flavorless. We were quite shocked at how different it was to what we were used to....which we can roll with the changes but not the lack of employees working while the restaurant is dirty. read more

I was a bit skeptical eating at the Clarksville location as I've tried the Hendersonville location and wasn't exactly happy with their cleanliness. The Clarksville location came through for me. It was clean and there was no cross contamination in the food bins ( I didn't see meat chunks in the chicken or vice versa). The service has been good. I've gotten the same waitress the last 2 times and she is friendly and attentive. The food is good. My go to is a regular bowl. I add some broccoli, onions and mushroom. I then go to the meats and add some chicken and as much Mongolian Beef as the bowl will hold. I've tried the Mongolian Pork and am not a big fan, the meat is a bit tough after it's cooked. As for sauces, I use half stir fry and half teriyaki. I've also tried the gyoza and spring rolls here. They are decent, so order them if you are really craving it, otherwise I'd pass. read more

Haven't eaten here in about 2 months. They changed things and not for the better. The first person you meet is the cashier......most annoying person I have meet. He wouldn't stop talking long enough to take our order. Then we get our food and you now have to pay for yumm yumm sauce. One waiter told me 2 dollars then another waiter told another table 55 cents. Cant get there prices right and it's not on there menu telling you it's extra. Never coming back. Plus it's all self serve and they ask for a tip...really. We get that restaurants are struggling from Covid effects with lack of staff, etc but this was a communications and food fiasco. We drove 25 miles to eat there. We come in and were told to pick a table and we sat down. A half hour later we find out there were NO servers and now everything was "get it yourself" because they got rid of all the servers. Fine but TELL Your customers! The food was watery. The bathroom was dirty and I couldn't fit my walker in the handicap stall, making me struggle to get to the toilet (that's ok guys, I'll let the county know you are in violation of the ADA for you!). Finally, as soon as we got our food the young lady informed us they closed in a half hour. Basically, eat and go, which would have been ok if we didn't LOSE a half hour waiting on the front end! I won't come back just because it was so unprofessional to do that to a customer. read more

It's sticky here. The floor was greasy sticky... you know the situation where your shoes tend to slide a little on the floor only to peel away for the next step. The self serve sauce pumps are sticky too with whatever Joanne Q Walmarter and her kids has brought with them to the restraunt . The food isn't bad, really. And surprisingly enough, we all managed to not get sick. It is a little on the expensive side, so if you don't mind paying high prices for mediocrity, then this place is for you. My first visit here, I didn't really care for it. Found it super different from all the other places I've ever been to and I grew up eating Mongolian grill. Gave them the benefit of the doubt since we are in Clarksville after all. I got the lo mein like noodles for my starch. Usually do a mix of steak/pork/shrimp. With mushrooms, onions/green onions, broccoli, zucchini, and etc. The sauces and bowl sizes are very small and they don't have the general type of soy/teriyaki sauce, they don't have chili oil either, and most of there sauces are thick which I've never seen before. The portion comes out ok, but $15 for a large and you still only get the tiniest bowl in the world? I've honestly never used a bowl that small from any place I've been to. Seems like they have a lot of workers but no one ever cleans the area where customers make their bowls. It'll probably be more worth it to do the all you can eat, than take out. I was excited to see a Mongolian Grill in Clarksville. My previous experience with Mongolian grills was in TX at the Ghengis Grill and I thoroughly enjoyed that experience. Bonfire is not as polished as Ghengis, but the food is hearty and since the individual is responsible for the spices and sauces any lack of flavor rests squarely on the individual. Reviews that complain of blandness are actually self inflicted. Overall Bonfire is a nice alternative to the chain restaurants so prolific in Clarksville. The dining area is spacious, it appears to have a nicely stocked bar, and the staff was friendly. The price was reasonable for what I received, and it's easy to choose portion sizes. This place is a hit or miss. First time I went, AMAZING. Server was attentive. The store was packed but the food still got here in a reasonable amount of time. The second time I went was SO bad. The server was rude, I wanted to order Crab Rangoon-I couldn't even finish my sentence then she interrupted me "We're out." She barely came back to check up on us. I had to track her down to get to-go boxes and refills. When the food came, *common sense not to get pork but I did* -the pork wasn't cooked. I got sick from it.
