two plates of food

Just felt like Chinese buffet and was not expecting much. This place has waaay more choices than expected esp for how small this place is. Service was good. I didn't do the Mongolian grill but for the most part there were so many options. I wasn't too happy about the hot and sour soup but I closed out with cookies and cream ice cream.

Leftover takeout food from here was not appetizing. My General Tso Chicken was fairly good yesterday. Not the best but ok. Today, it was rubbery after being heated and not so delicious. Takeout has been good to so so from here. Sometimes the fried rice is yellow or not yellow. If you have a preference or if you don't like yellow rice, this can be a problem. I have sampled takeout from different Asian fast food places and restaurants. When considering the prices and the flavor of the food, this place is fair in food and prices but not excellent. I rather pay more for quality. Time to try other Asian takeout places.

There is a wide variety of food! The servers are friendly and attentive! There is a room for private parties! The food buffet is served cold, which surprised me! I highly recommend them for a large group event, having experienced their hospitality shown towrds NTCC HOPKINSVILLE

Hubby and I arrived at 11:00 for lunch, shortly after they opened. The buffet was completely stocked, everything looked very fresh and appetizing. I tried small bites of many different options, and 90% was just plain bland and under seasoned. Pepper steak, blah, spicy pork, ehh no, baked salmon, over cooked until it turned almost white, pork dumplings, tasted gummy and raw. The seafood surprise was good, it appeared to be seafood and I hope I don't get a surprise later! The kitchen area was very loud. We were seated all the way across the restaurant, in a booth by the farthest wall, and the yelling in the kitchen very audible. Not too sure I'll come back.

Everything was either too seasoned or not seasoned enough... The wonton soup was awful and tasted off... The imitation crab cheese dish at first i thought it was ok then as i ate a couple more bites it tasted off like it was spoiled. They had breaded butterfly shrimp that tasted like it was frozen and had frostbite and then they warmed in the microwave. The fried wontons were so full of grease it dripped down my lip and then I spit it out, laid it on the napkin and with little pressure watched the oil come out of it.... I was thoroughly disappointed! My husband and I prayed we wouldn't get food poisoning and thank God we didn't! My husband and I were celebrating and I didn't want to make a scene so i wrote on the top of the receipt that I was sorry to have wasted so much food but that the food was just bad... The waitress came over to get the receipt before we could leave and took it and read it and then came over and asked about what we'd wrote but no one came to see if there was anyway to correct it or tried to take anything from the bill or anything... I mean we surely didn't eat much as she could tell when she took our plates. We tried to eat other things but just was all no good unfortunately. (The chocolate ice cream was real good tho!)

"fried" chicken

China Buffet and Grill is the closest buffet to my house and workplace so I find myself coming here by default at least once a week. Every other time I went was a so-so experience. It's food. Not great, not bad. Just food. The servers can do with an attitude adjustment however when they get a two dollar tip, especially since I never opt for a refill. If I were to pay for the service provided, I'd give absolutely nothing more than what my food cost. I went in for lunch Mar. 8th and picked up "fried" chicken. Notice the quotations cause the batch I'd just gotten my chicken from was completely bloody. It completely threw me off, I just ended up leaving. Management didn't even come speak to me about the issue. The servers I brought the chicken issue up with stayed behind the counter glancing at me every now and then. Unprofessional. Eat here at your own risk.

The guy at the hibachi grill has a terrible attitude and doesn't put enough sauce but whatever he does his job.

I mean imitation crab is inexpensive, WHY (why) would you cave to use only a sliver of it in your Cali rolls. Even Publix and the Commissary use a whole portion. Why, because the rolls are so stingy and small. I want to like this place because it's THE closest Sushi to my house, but just can't justify it. Same for my sashimi, two slivers of fish and everywhere else are 2 (or even 3) larger chucks of fish. Oh well, I gave it numerous chances but it is what it is.

But if you simply must go, I would probably recommend the ptomaine chicken, the sweet-and-sour norovirus pork, or the rainbow-slicked beef. And tell your stoner friends that the abundance of roaches in the building aren't what they're looking for. How is this place still open, Clarksville ?!?

I wanted to pick up just a few items and I went to the the two places that were on my way home and the other spot was smaller, the prices slightly higher and service was less than attentive. New Koa is larger, a better value and within minutes of me walking in a gentleman came to ask if I needed help with anything. I came away with a sriracha, sesame oil, a small jar of kimchi and since I was hungry got a tray of gimbap and a pomegranate flavored aloe juice for twenty bucks and some change, not a bad haul. I wandered around a little bit and on top of the food items there's also a section of mostly Korean flatware and even clothing. This will be where my Asian shopping needs will be met when I am in need.

Korean Kimbap in this store had fish, radish, carrot, and spinach. $5.99 - very affordable! It was delicious! The reviews on this store were stellar. The options were wonderful here. I got four different types of ramen. Homemade kimchi and radishes in mason jars were a delight. Prices were cheap to moderate. I spent $30 here quick. I will definitely come back again.

My sushi of choice: Fresh Salmon, Avocado, and Cream Cheese sushi loaded with lots of caviar or Tobiko in a maki roll. Tobiko is rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients. Similar to salmon eggs, tobiko is high in fat that can help protect the heart and liver, reduce inflammation, and improve learning ability. I was, also, told it is good for enhancing vision by sushi chefs in Florida. It is sweeter than caviar and has cute tiny Pearl like shape. It adds a semi salty yet savory taste to the sushi.

I kind of do mind, because I don't like shopping. Walking into the commissary is a bit of an anxiety attack for me. As soon as you enter you can see the wait line for the checkouts. If you've been in the military, you already know that the line is usually halfway down a shopping aisle and three rows of turn stiles before you get to the register. As for the prices, you really can't beat them and it is worth making the trip. They also carry foods from all over, which is very appreciated by military families. Don't forget to tip your baggers. That's all they work for, and will probably load your groceries in your vehicle better than we could anyway. Be kind.
