Their team did the design, permitting, and landscaping/irrigation work. The pools team did a great job, and I'm very happy with the end product. HOWEVER.... this review is to comment on my overall dissatisfaction with the company's willingness to honor the landscaping/plant warranties - which they didn't do. Instead, they invoked the "act of god" clause, and left me hanging. The dollar figure is a few hundred bucks, and a little bit of my own labor to replace the dead plants... Given the project was north of 200k, it's a minimal impact, but I'm going to be honest, and state that it left me with a terrible taste in my mouth, and wanted to share it with the broader community. After receiving the initial design, we requested revisions, but communication was slow and updates often took weeks. When we followed up for updates, we were repeatedly reminded that they were managing larger projects, which left us feeling like our project was not a priority. When we finally received the project proposal, the pricing was not itemized, which made it difficult to identify areas where we could scale back to fit our budget. When we asked for a more detailed breakdown, we were told their process is "turnkey," and no alternatives or solutions were offered to help adjust the project scope. Understanding that this was simply how they operated, we requested another revision in hopes of reducing costs. Our last conversation was in November, when we were told we would receive an updated revision within two weeks. Unfortunately, we never heard from Scapes again. We ultimately chose to work with a different local landscape architect who was more communicative, provided transparent pricing and a much better overall experience.

Last time when he gave an estimate for putting in some new sprinkler heads, he also fixed and adjusted a row of mini sprinkler heads for the garden bed and did not charge for that. This time, Jesus placed new sprinkler heads for another part of the lawn, and changed out different spray head types a couple of times to my liking. He has the patience of Jesus. The estimates are reasonable, and Linda, who coordinates the jobs and takes the payments, is very responsive and quick to reply to questions. Overall, I recommend them for affordability, communication/responsiveness, and timeliness.

Once they did, their service was spotty, never knew when they would show up, so I had to keep asking. A couple months in, and they stopped showing up altogether. After 3 weeks of nothing, I emailed and was given another apology for them forgetting I existed. Another 2+ weeks go by, same exact thing. So I cancel my service with them, but I had one more day paid for. They came out and mowed their last day. And then they charged me for another month's service today. And good luck trying to get them on the phone. They never answer. If you leave a message, best you'll get is a text. Feels like they're scared to talk to their customers, and I see why.

Exceptional Landscape Experience…read more I requested quotes from three different landscape companies last Friday. Leiva Landscape responded within hours and scheduled a visit for the very next day. On Saturday, they showed up early, assessed the project, walked us through their proposed solution, and provided a clear quote. They even offered to start the work that Monday -- and they did! A full crew arrived early and by 3 PM, the trenching, installation of three catch trays and French drains, and grading corrections were complete. Best of all, they managed everything without damaging our sprinkler system. We are so pleased with the entire experience -- professional, efficient, and excellent quality work. Erin Hagen's reply was "That's exactly right.   Never have and we never will.  Too much traffic too little profit on mows." Gave me the impression they were offended I even asked. So I guess if you're not right next to them, don't even bother.

Good stuff first: when they do come, they are very efficient and go a great job…read more Bad stuff: we had an incredibly rocky start and end with this company. We used them about 6-7 months. To begin, they didn't show up the first time they were scheduled to and came really late at night to tell us they'll have to come back the next day. When they did come back the next day, while no one was home, they failed to note down that we had undone the lock on our gate that all they had to do was pull it open and it would unlatch. I had mentioned this the night before but Euless did not write it down or remember. When he thought the gate was still locked, he called in an angry attitude that our service was cancelled. Eventually we worked that out and had a decent few months were everything was smooth. Then randomly in March, Euless text me about biweekly service, insinuating that we had been on a biweekly service the whole time. This was incorrect as we had been on a monthly service since the beginning. Eventually we resolved that even though he tried to attempt to make it out as if I was changing our service schedule when he had just been mistaken. Then, in may, he decided not to come without contacting us. When I text about the schedule, he mentioned he cannot do monthly service routines anymore. He did not communicate this until we were past due for service. It seems he wouldn't have said anything if we didn't text him. When they show up = great. But the communication and respect was lacking on our end; I tried to be as kind as possible in these circumstances.
