If I could give 0 stars I would. I usually get compliments on my eyebrows and I do them myself. I decided to try the henna on my brows just to make them a little darker. Instead she started threading them super thin!!! I am so angry right now. I've never had or needed my eyebrows to be threaded. Can someone please reach out to me and let me know how long it takes for your brows to start growing back because I feel so ugly and helpless. read more

feeling: ugly it's not like my brows were good coming in, but they definitely weren't good coming out. I generally wait till my brows are past the point of no return before getting them done, which means that I'm almost guaranteed to prefer them after they're threaded/waxed. that was not the case today. maybe it's the fact that it's close to the holiday and it was somewhat busy when I walked in (there were maybe 3-5 other people waiting), but the worker who did my eyebrows really just made some hasty, imprecise, choppy-looking cuts to the fronts of my brows as soon as we started. you know that feathered eyebrow look that people go for? CHOPPED OFF. it was downhill from there. the one somewhat redeeming aspect of this experience is that the upper half of my eyelids are cleaned up, but I could have plucked those suckers myself. not sure of the name of the woman who did my brows, but she was the older of the two women there. read more

If you have sensitive skin, DO NOT come here. I went to this place because it's one of the first boutiques that pops up on google when I search "eyebrow threading place." I went here several times and told the lady doing my eyebrows my skin is very sensitive-pretty sure she's the older one. I told her to please work slowly and carefully. Disregarding my request she kept going harshly at my skin with the thread. Each and every time she worked on me I would notice bleeding and several cuts after the process was complete. During the second to last session I had with her, I kept sneezing and taking breaks with water in my eyes as I usually do. I kept reminding her my skin is sensitive. She verbally acknowledged what I said, but continued to harshly work on my upper lip. As she was working near my eyebrow, she threaded into the side of my eye pretty. I felt the pressure of the thread on my eye and it definitely was not light. Out of frustration and concern for my safety, I angrily told her she needs to work carefully. She didn't even acknowledge the fact that she had threaded onto my eyeball. HOLY! Instead of listening to me and working on my skin gently, she chose to argue. She said other customers with more sensitive skin come here and they don't have any issue and asked me why I come there if I don't like the service. I will not go into the details of the argument, but she was overall very rude! I was highly disappointed with the lack of customer care. The price tag has dramatically increased btw. They charge bay area rates.... Along with their pricing and lack of understanding of their customers, this place is def not a recommend. I have never had such a bad experience at any other salon I have been to in my life. I will never be going back and have found a place much better than this only a mile away called Grace Beauty and I would highly recommend. They do quality work at half the price and the staff is super sweet, accommodating, and friendly. I will be going there from now on. read more

Went to the Valley Plaza location and asked to have the tails taken off my eyebrows so I could freely draw them in whatever shape I want and to get them threaded thin. When she showed me after she threaded them they looked good and thin but they still had the tails on so I brought it up again. Im not sure what she said in response but she basically refused to do them the way I wanted. You may not get what you ask for here :/ now I have to decide if I want to pluck them off or shave them myself. read more

Patel's on Ming and Bonita's are related, both locations are great but generally I visit this location. All of the ladies do a great job and I'm always receiving compliments on my eyebrows. I used to go to a high end salon to get my eyebrows done, which ran me $25 not including tip. Bonita's is reasonably priced and they do just as good of a job, if not better. read more

They do exactly what they're told! Some eyebrow threading places can't do that. If I said I wanted a clean up, I get that. If I wanted a new shape, I get that. It is also very affordable. While I find threading to be more painful than waxing, I have become a regular here because my skin is EXTREMELY sensitive & wax leaves me red & blotchy for several days. Went to this place and the lady that did my eyebrows is not good. I got my eyebrows threaded but she missed some spots. I had to go home and tweeze some hairs out still.I was initially going to leave a tip but in all honesty she didnt deserve it. I gave this place another chance but once again it let me down. So it's my first time here when I get there and one of the lady's did not seem happy when I walked in. I feel like she didn't even want to be there she was kinda rude so first she started with my eyebrows and they turned out okay and she was very rough next I asked for side burns so she started threading around the bottom side of my cheeks but never my actual side burns and when I asked her to take them off she said "my hair is too coarse" I've gotten my sideburns threaded many times at other places I feel like she was just too lazy to do them and she never did them and she still charged me the extra 15 dollars I did not feel like arguing so I just didn't leave a tip never coming back here again.. read more
