I've been coming here for at least five years , it's my main go to for my eyebrows. They're always nice and always greet each customer. They do my eyebrows perfectly. Out of each time I came here , I've only had two problems and that's it. 1. A new woman really messed up my brows one time. It was super bad but luckily I've never gotten her again 2. One New Year's Eve it was really packed and they weren't really looking at the sign in sheet, they were just pointing at who's next. They did skip me for someone that got there after me. This place is open till 7PM and they accept walk-ins. When I come in as a walk in, the wait is not bad at all and usually they get me in right away. The ladies are friendly here. They do not make any comments to me anymore. They make small talk and they do know who my daughter, Jasmine and I are. They will ask me about my Jasmine and Jasmine tells me when she goes in there for threading, they ask about me. I think that's sweet. read more

After having my hair done for several months and being happy with the results, my most recent cut was a disaster that will take weeks to grow out to the point that someone else will be able to do damage control. I believe this place is overdue for another review. I usually come here whenever I'm in bakersfield as I usually hate cheating on my eyebrow lady, but hey i gotta get my brows cleaned lol. For $13, the service isn't too bad, but there is definitely room for improvement. There's hand sanitizer in eye sight, but she doesn't apply any on herself or offers me any. Usually at some eyebrow places, they put a paper film over the chair as to kinda keep it clean per each client , but it isn't the case here. Aloe vera isn't offered here after brow appointments in case anyone is curious. Overall, it is pretty affordable if you're looking to get your brows done! read more

So....I went to get my hair done today....and it was a disaster. I asked for honey brown balayage and was told she didn't have time to do a balayage today (even though when I booked the appt, it booked 2 hrs and 45 minutes for the appt)--granted, I was 15 minutes late for the appt (and I let them know), so that's on me, but that still left 2.5 hours for the appt. Then, when I asked her to blend the root coverage, her idea was to just paint the new color lower on each strand of hair (and then charge more for it--after the fact)....then she burned my scalp with the blow dryer and burned the tip of my ear with the straightener. And she says to me "I try not to do that but sometimes it gets ya, but your the first one this month"......then she tells me as I check out (after I'm almost in tears because the color is way darker than I wanted) that "it's normally $70 but because of the style and bringing the dye lower, it's more this time, but next time it won't be this much". She charged me $120, made sure to look at how much of a tip I gave (10% ONLY because it's Christmas Eve) and STILL gave me a disappointed look before I turned to walk out the door. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! IF you take a chance and go here, don't EVER go to Katy!! You'll regret it. read more

I have long hair down to my waist that was one length and asked for long layers. A truly talented stylist Ravender gave me exactly what I wanted and still kept my length. She was honest and knowledgeable. I explained how my hair had been tangling recently and she was able to advise me on some methods to prevent it. The girls who do the threading are great I've never had an issue before! They are not really pushy either about doing upper lip or face. Arianny is really good at cutting hair and she is so sweet! The prices for getting your haircut are really reasonable. I send all of my family and friends to come here. There is no reason to go anywhere else Arianny is the best! If I could give negative 10 stars to this place and the people that work here, I absolutely would. I got a what was supposed to be a hair trim but got a complete choppy mess a few days ago here and she had also done my boyfriends hair and he gave her a specific reference photo and cut his hair way too short and even after he told her it was short, she gaslight him and said that he just needed to blow dry it and add pomade, like it would have been okay if she couldn't cut hair the way he wanted to then she could have said that so that he wouldn't have to go through that but she didn't and the stylist also proceeded to charge me and him 35$ each but on top of that, the stylist who did my hair also just left my hair wet after cutting it and didn't dry it or cared to style or anything. Came out with literally a trim that was really bad and my boyfriends hair looking way too short and choppy too and I'm really unhappy with this experience and I will go out of my way to tell anyone and everyone to never come here. read more

My brows were super bushy and uneven (I've just been tweezing them myself for over a year loThe girl who did my brows was super quick and it was a much more comfortable experience compared to some I've had at other places. I've been here twice to get my eyebrows threaded and it's a true gem. They're efficient and effective. Upon entering, it's an easy process to sign in for the service you want. On both occasions, I didn't have to wait and immediately sat down at the salon chair. The staff is great and make sure that I'm positioned correctly so that they threading is done correctly/evenly. The salon is fairly bright, so you can see the output with no problem. At $8 for eyebrow threading, it's a great deal. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some threading. read more

I was a walk in. This was last on my day's todo list and I think the last customer for them. The salon is very nice, clean, and well maintained. It's in a nice plaza so you can gets donuts, Indian food, pizza or even boba tea before getting your brows touched up. I just moved here from out of state and sorely miss my brow lady of 3 years. I've been waiting for a while now, but my brows were to unbearable to keep it up, so this was a moment of trust for me. My brows came out great. I'm usually really picky when it comes to eyebrow threading locations because a lot of woman don't try to make them look nice, they just try to get the job done fast without much care. The staff will make you wait longer than you should and doesn't seem to care for anyone who wants to get their eyebrows waxed instead of threaded. I literally had to wait another hour and a half just to come back at 1pm and was told it'll be 5 mins, but as I waited nearly 15 mins.....other people came in after. Very quick and efficient!! I haven't had my face threaded in years and have been putting off finding a place since moving to Bakersfield. This place came with high remarks on yelp and it helps that I live 5 mins down the street. The salon itself is very clean and when I went around 4pm on a Wednesday afternoon, there was only one lady getting her face threaded so I didn't have to wait long - super plus! The gal who threaded my face wasn't chatty at all but made sure to ask what I wanted before doing too much. I have a lot of baby hairs on my forehead and on the side of my face which she quickly took care of. Didn't know this, but read it somewhere that if the string breaks too much, the person isn't that skilled.. the string didn't break once, so I guess she's a pro! this place charges $8 per eyebrow threading and there are 3 locations in town. I've been the one on Ming Ave, but I think this location is cleaner and more efficient. I came in and was immediately seated to get the eyebrows cleaned up. read more
