Most of the time, at local wineries, you're 'meh'. Good wines, but nothing special. You'll grab a bottle and thats that. But here, I actually REALLY enjoyed each wine we tried. His fermenting process is 'old-school' using huge clay (amphorae) cisterns vs stainless steel, and a variety of other nuances that seemed to really make a difference. I literally ended up buying a bottle of everything we tried (much to the amusement of my wife). This is now my new favorite winery in the area.

It is a short 5 min walk up a gravel/dirt road from the small parking area to the tasting area so ladies may want to avoid heels (our sandals were just fine). The couple that owns the winery were so personable, loved that he brought out each of the tastings and chatted with us about the wine & farm origins, while his wife made the biscotti & gave us all samples to try - yum! The tasting was so reasonably priced and I couldn't believe a personal charcuterie board was included too. Of course, the wine was all very good and we purchased some bottles to take home. I only wished we could have stayed longer than the two hour time limit (based on space).
