We just went to this gem of a place yesterday with a group of 10 celebrating our girls 40th! Giotto is always a great place to relax and enjoy some wine. They have a good selection of wines and also offer some slushies. You can bring your own food but depending on when you visit they have food trucks with great food. The staff are very friendly and the prices to taste and purchase are decent. We've been wine members for almost 3 years. The atmosphere & vibe is very chill & the members here are very friendly & fun & this place is absolutely a dog friendly environment. Our friend brought her pups this weekend & they had the very best time w/ the humans consuming wine . We were first introduced to this winery b/c our friends Shannon & Steven were members but they now live in FL. We continue even after they left . The owners are very friendly & welcoming & create fun & entertaining time . Joe is a singer & he's got a great voice . I believe he started singing at local places in Lincoln . Wine & singing you can't beat that a man of many talents ! The wines are unfiltered so either you will love it or dislike it . Though we just enjoyed a bottle of Bella Sapori on Sunday & my friend notices no sediment at the bottom of the glass . It was smooth & not sweet it was perfect . No food truck but we had some food at another winery a couple of miles from Ciotti's. We did purchase some crackers & cheese & small packs of salami to accompany our wine . Please come out here you'll definitely have a great time just chilling & listening to great music & drinking some fabulous wines . We visited this winery and greeted by Ashley who was just lovely and Joe, the owner was nearby. The family vibe was everything. We went on a Saturday but they offer live music on a regular. There is outdoor seating and standingroom only in the main building. There is one gender neutral indoor restroom which is pleasant. Wine club membership is reasonable as well. read more

We walked in Friday around 2:30pm. It wasn't too busy. Sad to say, we weren't impressed by the wines here. But I think it's not our taste. The wines tasted light, some earthy, some tannic, and aged wine taste/smell. We had to pour out quite a few of the red wines. We prefer bold and smooth. But they have a big property here and looks nice to drink outside if you enjoy these type of wines. read more

We've always have a relaxing and enjoyable time when we visit Ciotti Cellars. Our last visit was this past Mother's Day. We got there early enough to snag a table in the shade. The food truck had a selection of wood fired pizza. The live entertainment is always an added plus. The owner is very personable and he has some special drinks he mixes up that are fun to try. This was my 1st wine tasting since everything opened back up. Much has changed with the industry and they had to improvise. For the customer the change is you select your tastings (for me only reds) and it's served in a flight delivered to a table. Gratefully, this place had a huge outdoor seating area. The staff now are servers taking away their ability to share their knowledge about each wine-- my favorite part. It was a great feature to have a band, but it was so loud making table conversation challenging I'm grateful for the experience and can't wait till I can taste at the bar and gain insight on the wines. read more

Ciotti Cellars was the 2nd stop on our Holiday in the Hills Placer wine tour Our bus of 17 was dropped off here where we were greeted by Santa. We were also greeted by the amazing sent of soup which went perfectly with the rainy day weather. Here we had tried 5 wines; of which my favorites included the Red Zin and the Stowaway. We tasted their offering which included Pino Gris, Red Zin, Sangiovese , Syrah, and a Stowaway. All were tasty and reasonably priced.This winery also offers mystery bottles for purchase. Here you can purchase the bottle of wine for $20- even the workers do not know which wine is in the bottle but it is a fun way to give it a try. Fantastic place and the owner Joe is amazing- he took a picture with our friend who's birthday we were celebrating with the big bottle of wine from behind the bar area. read more

We stumbled upon this little gem on a day when they had live music. Was super cool. Not sure I understand the tasting menu as they have many wines but no options to try something thats not on the menu. Case in point...Im a big mouvedre fan. I wanted to try it...they said it wasnt available unless I purchased a bottle. I ended up purchasing it because I really wanted to try it...great except had I tried it there, I likely would have purchased several. Its too far for us to go back anytime soon so that was a disappointment. Most wines were good but very fruit forward. I am a fan of the mouvedre so I recommend to anyone to check this place out. We did the wine tasting inside (super reasonable pricing) with the sweetest worker there ever and ended up purchasing the Malbec and I forgot the other one The pours were great, I did get a nice little wine buz after the fourth one! It is nice to find a good winery in Placer County. Ciotti Cellars has all the features of a great local winery, and can back up with a good selection of wine. Their winery is fairly close to Lincoln off Wise Road along the Placer Wine & Ale Trail. Parking is generous on a gravel lot. The tasting room has a modern Tuscan feel with gorgeous metal and glass entry doors. The spacious interior can get a bit loud with lots of hard surfaces, but the conversation is lively as people enjoy their wine. Ciotti has a decent selection of various varietals on their menu with tasting fees waived with purchase. I have not been a big fan of Placer County wine, but their Cabernet Franc was really good and stood out. Everyone has a unique palette, but I can tell these guys are making something special. The scenery is gorgeous, especially in the late afternoon. It can get a bit hot here in the summer, but the outdoor patio is still a great option in good weather. Ciotti Cellars is a great way to drink local wine. They are very close to the South Placer suburbs, but traveling here feels miles away from the city. Honestly, I don't recommend this winery AT ALL. I don't mind going to grab your wine serving at their bar but the owner made absolutely no talk or conversation to us. The owner only made conversation with customers who were white, as I noticed that other customers of color were not being treated the same. Wasn't bothered at first cause I figured that I wanted the wine more than the service but EVEN THE WINE TASTED BAD. Never coming back and I don't recommend if you're a person of color. The wine here was a very short pour. The taste was okay but the ladies serving could use an upgrade. They offered nothing to the tasting and when prompted by questions from customers had no answers. They actually seemed annoyed by the fact that there were customers at all. Some good wines, but very bad marketing in an emerging wine region to now require 2 bottles purchase to wave a tasting fee. Mistake by your marketing people to make your product less accessible while your costs are significantly lower than Sonoma and other regions in the area. I'd suggest following practices of PaZa and Dona de Cielo in driving their brands before simply making your product more expensive to access. read more

My friends band was playing here so we came out and had a fantastic evening. They had a BBQ truck out and the band played for two hours. The fire pits were going and the tasting room was open al night. I enjoyed the old vine zin and the barbera. The location is a short drive from the 80/65 split and was really pretty set in the country. The only issue I had was the gal behind the counter didn't seem to comfortable (maybe just filling in because they were busy) but there was a bunch of cork in my wine. Came here for live music on a Saturday night. We got there a little early so parking was fine. Seating is limited so bring your own chairs. They had a food truck and were selling wine by the glass and by the bottle. One glass started at $10 so we chose to buy a bottle. They gave me an industry discount of 20% so our bottle of Pinot Grigio was $22. Wine was decent and the atmosphere and music were good. Ciotti, Popie, and Cristaldi wineries all share a tasting area in a large wooden building on the main street in Loomis. The layout is 3 small tasting areas connected together to form a large tasting area. Even though its one large room there is actually not a huge amount of counter space for lots of people to taste. It wasn't an issue this past weekend, but with more people I could easily see it become one. The woman that pourped for Ciotti this past Saturday (who said that she usually pours for Cristaldi) was especially friendly. She told us all about the area, which we were not familiar with, and shared with us all the cool events that happen in the summer. There are some interesting things happening here that I might want to drive up and see. Overall, she was just incredibly pleasant to talk with. Of the three wineries I enjoyed these wines the most. The Barbera Reserva was very good. As I write this review I actually regret not buying a bottle. I'd happily return to taste these wines again!! They had a tray of chocolate to taste with the wines. read more

This is a great, small winery located in Loomis, Ca It is located next to two other small, local wineries.... I believe they call the group, 3 Vigne... We love their wines.... The Placer County Cab is amazing...... Such a tasty wine. When our friends and relatives visit, this is a must place to visit on the weekend. I think they are open noon to 5ish....
