Best cheese danish I've ever had. In my life!
    Julie H.

I get to come here every couple of years (I live in Los Angeles) but I will never NOT come here! As usual we had lunch and cookies our first day and breakfast pastries to go for the next two days. Bonrue (Farmstead in my head) is my favorite bakery in the world. The staff is so nice and helpful, and the food is delicious beyond compare. Plus since I was wearing an old school Farmstead shirt the owner made sure I had one of their coffee cups with the old name! Made me feel super special! Pics are just a bunch of great food-get anything that looks good to you!

Easily the BEST bakery in St George! So many options of pastries, sweet, savory, breakfast, or lunch. I can be really had to choose I tried a bunch and my top picks were Almond croissant - it's huge, almonds on the inside with a chocolate drizzle. Not to sweet and flaky Vanilla cronut - Had a vanilla filling instead and pairs will with the cronut The gorge - This a great breakfast sandwich. Scrabbled eggs are perfect and weren't over cooked. Bacon, & cheese over their perfect croissants The coffee was cool, standard lattes Customer service is great, very friendly and lots of smiles. The prices are on the steeper side but at the quality and size of their pastries, it's well worth it. This will be a must visit every time I visit St George!

Love love love the variety of sandwiches and pastries! The people behind the counter were attentive and fast and asked simple question. We sat outside because we had our dog with us and she also enjoyed the cheese that was in my sandwich The beautiful sunshine was a great addition to the ambiance! I highly recommend

You won't understand the hype around Bonrue Bakery until you've had your first bite. Then you'll be hooked like the rest of us. The staff recommended we try the chocolate almond croissant, kouign amann, and ham & cheese croissant. All three were the gold standard of delicious excellence! Caramelized, flakey, salty, sweet, chewy, crunchy, savory... we got a little bit of everything. And they paired really well with our latte's! We tried the brown sugar & cinnamon and the white chocolate & orange and were blown away. We couldn't have had a better experience. Keep it up, Bonrue!

A friend told us about this place so we had to go check it out . They have a variety of pastries, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, quiches and even pizza . The place was busy on a Saturday but it didn't take long we got the breakfast croissant sandwich - ham, bacon , egg and cheese & the chocolate kouign- amann both were delicious and flaky. For a drink we went with the reg drip coffee (free refills) . The staff was super friendly and the manager even came over to give us a chocolate pastry that got messed up !!!! We will definitely be back next time when we're in town .

Very close to the town square, and plenty of free street parking. We were in search of a bakery snack and a hot chocolate and Bonrue popped up (There is signage out front explaining their former name and having to legally change it). Inside are some signs that show the old name. The staff was very nice. The restaurant is very clean, white, and sterile looking. The desserts are arranged very nicely in the case and there were plenty of choices but they did not have the cronut that I had seen in some photos online. I was a little disappointed but I got the milk chocolate croissant with a creme filling and it was amazing. I got to try a bite of their regular chocolate croissant and it was good too. the hot chocolate was really good, and they do not offer whipped cream. They had a soft foam for $1 extra fee (it was good). Definitely a good bakery snack option if you are in the area. Check out my photos.

We've worked our way through the take away pastries and here are the results: 1). Almond Croissant 2). Tabernacle Croissant 3). Cream Cheese Danish 4). Kouign Amann Our benchmark for baked goods is the almond croissant and this one has set the new gold standard. 10/10. The Tabernacle Croissant was very good - the vanilla cream filling was well distributed throughout and went very well with the light and moist pastry. The cream cheese danish was good, but the cream cheese was a little sweet for our tastes; sacrilegious to say, I know. The kouign amann was also good and we just liked the others more. I wanted to add that when we were there it was near closing time so they gave us a berry parfait on the house. It was likely one of the best parfaits I've had; the ingredients were so fresh and the granola delicious.

    Coffee piping hot! Tastes good.

Saw the ads in the desert and decided to stop in. Best bakery in Utah! The Kouign Amann was delicate and divine! Service was out of the big city. With the cafe atmosphere, it was clean and simple.

Some of the best pastries I've had and really yummy lattes. I was visiting St. George for the week and stopped by here twice for coffee and breakfast. I'm not typically a hot coffee fan, but it was a little chilly out so I got a hot oatmilk latte and it was PHENOMENAL, I had to get it again the next time as well. For the pastries, i definitely recommend the kouign amann and berry cronut!! Delicious. However, I would skip the croissant and vanilla cronut. I was unaware that the vanilla cronut was filled, or else I would not have got it. It was a lot of cream in my opinion. I also wish that the croissant was warmed up. Maybe they would have if I asked, but they didn't offer and it was nothing special. Nice outdoor seating options and plenty of options for everyone. Would definitely come back if I'm in St. George again.

Yum. So good. We wanted to try everything! We went with 7 people and were able to try multiple desserts and sandwiches. The workers were so nice and helpful. They even accepted our Farmstead gift card. We love to sit and eat on their outdoor patio. Definitely recommend and would bring more people with you so you can try more things!

We visited Bonrue Bakery twice while in the St. George area with friends who highly recommended it and it did not disappoint! They offer a great variety of options, including sandwiches, quiche, fresh bread, pizza, and an incredible selection of baked goods. There were so many tempting choices it was hard to decide. On our first visit, I ordered the chocolate almond croissant, quiche Lorraine, and an iced brown sugar latte. Wow! ,everything was delicious! The quiche was served warm and packed with a generous amount of bacon. The croissant was soft, flaky, and fresh, with the perfect balance of almond flavor and chocolate in every bite. The latte was smooth, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meal. It was such a fantastic bakery experience that we went back the next day! This time we tried the chocolate cake, chocolate croissant, and a kouign amann and once again, everything was absolutely amazing. Staff was helpful and the device was quick even though it was busy and had a long line. The ambiance was pretty and welcoming. If you're in St. George, this bakery is definitely worth a visit!

I was surprised by the home fries which were essentially flat french fries- no complaints here though. I ate almost everything. My boyfriend got the French toast stuffed with crème brûlée, the sausage, home fries, and eggs sunny side up. The best thing on his plate was that French toast! But everything else was good too. 45+ Minutes in 100° Heat, Passed Over Repeatedly, Then Offered a High-Top for a Toddler…read more Our experience at George's today was so bizarre, frustrating, and poorly handled that I am still trying to understand how a restaurant could treat a family this way. We arrived as a family of three--two adults and our toddler--and were told the wait would be approximately 15-20 minutes. We were added to the waitlist and waited outside in nearly 100-degree heat. While we waited, several parties arrived AFTER us. We know this with certainty because we watched them walk in, add their names to the list, come back outside, and even chatted with some of them while we all waited. Then, one by one, those parties were called inside and seated before us. After the last of them was seated, I finally went inside and asked the front-of-house employee in the pink shirt whether we were even still on the list. She assured me we were and said we were "next." We then waited approximately another 10 minutes. By the time someone finally came for us, our supposed 15-20 minute wait had become 45-46 minutes. And somehow, that wasn't even the most baffling part. We were walked through the restaurant, past multiple empty, standard-height tables, and taken down toward the bar. We passed yet another regular four-seat table there. And then we were offered a high-top table. For two adults and a TODDLER. Our toddler had physically walked into the restaurant with us when we originally put our names on the list. There was never any ambiguity that we had a small child with us. No booster or appropriate toddler seating was offered at this high-top, either. We obviously declined. Expecting a toddler to safely sit at a high-top is not merely impractical--it creates a completely unnecessary fall and safety risk. We were then informed that if we wanted a normal table, we would need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I was genuinely stunned. We had already waited more than twice the time we were quoted. We had watched parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us. None of those parties, to our knowledge, were forced to choose between an inappropriate high-top and an additional wait. And we could literally see empty standard tables. When we specifically asked about the empty four-person table near the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there because that server was having a very busy day and it would be another 15-20 minutes before she could take us. So let me understand this: your restaurant allowed a family with a toddler to wait outside in extreme heat for more than 45 minutes, repeatedly seated later-arriving parties ahead of them, finally brought them inside only to offer seating obviously unsuitable for a small child, and then--while empty standard tables were plainly visible--essentially told them to go wait some more? At what point does someone on staff recognize that something has gone badly wrong and attempt to fix it? There was no meaningful apology. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that the original 15-20 minute estimate had turned into 45+ minutes while other guests were seated ahead of us. What makes this experience even more uncomfortable is that we are a mixed-race couple. I cannot say why we were treated differently, and I am not going to make an accusation I cannot prove. But after watching multiple parties who arrived after us be seated before us, only to then be offered uniquely inappropriate seating for our family, I am left questioning why our family was treated differently. Was there some legitimate explanation that was never communicated to us? Was this simply extraordinary incompetence and poor management of the waitlist? Or was there another reason? I genuinely don't know. But the fact that your staff's handling of the situation left us even having to ask that question should concern management. We were patient. We were polite. We waited far longer than we were told we would. We stood outside with our toddler in nearly 100-degree weather and gave your staff every opportunity to make the situation right. Instead, we were met with indifference and a level of front-of-house incompetence that was astonishing. Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. Wait estimates can be wrong. None of that explains why multiple parties arriving after us were seated first, why no one noticed or corrected it, why a family visibly accompanied by a toddler was offered a high-top, or why--after more than 45 minutes--no one seemed remotely interested in finding a reasonable solution. We ultimately didn't need special treatment. We expected competent treatment. We didn't receive it. Management should seriously review how the waitlist was handled today and speak with the front-of-house staff involved, because this was one of the most poorly managed and deeply uncomfortable restaurant experiences our family has had.
