Coffee here was great, but I was so disappointed in the Phuket Pizza (my fault for ordering it I guess). The Phuket pizza was basically like generic Asian salad grocery kit dumped onto a cheese pizza. I was not expecting that much ingredients and should've looked up pictures and reviews on here. I immediately had regret and wished I ordered the barbecue chicken instead. Not sure how this was particularly even Thai inspired. I liked the crust at least, and my boyfriend enjoyed the margherita pizza. View of the canyon were great on the patio too, kinda crazy how right by the cliff this restaurant was. The people are very friendly here and we had a nice time soaking in the sights from the back patio area. Be warned - it can be windy, so bring a layer! The food and coffees were honestly just okay, but we didn't have too high of expectations either. I think the quiche and burrito could have been heated up hotter. It came out fairly quickly even with quite a few people waiting. The cinnamon roll was unlike any I've had before - a bit breadier and the cream cheese icing cuts the sweetness. My boyfriend and I LOVED River Rock. We were staying in a near by Airbnb and our host recommended. We came here everyday during our stay. The cold brew was so good (I got in with both vanilla and lavender separately with oat milk and both were tasty. For food, my favorite breakfast was the bagel sandwich with sausage. They put a siracha mayo on it which was sooo good and the eggs were scrambled and fluffy. It kept me full during the hikes we took. The cinnamon bun was SO good. I even brought one back home to CT for my mom. The other breakfast I had was the ham and cheese croissant with egg which was also very good, I love the cheddar cheese they use. I'm big on coffee to start my morning, especially before a day in the parks and I also was nearby to drop my dog off for daycare so I through I'd stop by. They have a huge selection of coffee drinks and make a very good Americano if you just need the kick without everything else. My wife got an Iced Vanilla Latte that she was very happy with as well. We enjoyed the bagel sandwiches, salads (lots of spinach), and tuna salad sandwich with chips. They also sell hats, water bottles, shirts, stickers, their coffee, etc. with their branding. When you order, you get a number and put it at your table. Service isn't super fast but they also can get pretty busy, being one of the authentic places for food and drink in the area. I've been here so many times and I've never had bad service but today was different and really makes me not want to come back. The servers come through and always say "let me know if you need anything." Today I asked if I could get a container for my left overs (it's never been a problem before) and it wasn't busy at all. The server snapped back at me to go inside and get it myself. I said I'm dining alone and I don't want to just leave my food outside (I've gotten up to get something before and came back to someone clearing my table despite the fact that I was still eating since I was alone and they assumed I'm leaving). Anyway her response was a surly "no one's going to steal your food." It was mean. It hurt my feelings and did not make me feel like a valued customer. It wasn't even busy today so I can't imagine why she had to be rude. Maybe you can get away with this with the tourists because you'll never see them again but I live here. Really disappointed. I've been here so may times and everyone has always been nice and this was uncalled for :( ruined my day. I still have half a pizza left I don't even want to eat because I'm so disappointed. While traveling to Zion, I struggled to find good, locally owned restaurants. I was so excited to find River Rock Roasting Co. It was everything I was looking for. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was everything you hope for. The pistachio latte was my absolute favorite! I went several days in a row for this drink! The bagel sandwich was the perfect breakfast before a long hike. Everything about the sandwich home made! The bagel bread is soft, the eggs are real (I cannot stand egg beaters or frozen eggs). We stopped by for a pre-sunset snack and this a cute location with a beautiful outdoor backdrop from the back patio. Between waiting to order and getting our food, everything took about 30 minutes. We shared a special of the day which was a chile and queso dip which was great. But the main reason we came was to try their huge cinnamon rolls and it was fantastic! Our senior pup loved being there as much as we did. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte ($3.40), Caramel Pecan Sticky Bun ($5.25), and a Spinach Quiche Blossom ($4.40). The hubby ordered a Caramel Apple Breakfast Sandwich ($7.50) and a German Chocolate blended coffee ($4.75). Everything was DELICIOUS and extremely gourmet for the price. The other places I've eaten have served messy plates of food. Yes I guess I'm a foodie. I've lived in Chicago, the Bay Area, and Las Vegas so I can't help it!
