I had this place for the first time today and am quite confident I will not be back. I ordered it to go at lunch time as it seems to be a popular lunch spot. I had to call in the order as there is no online option. Though, it was rather straightforward. The first thing I tried was the soup. I was told that it was in a big container but still the same amount. Though, you can see by the line that it wasn't the case. It was also clearly separated and I took the pic after much stirring. It was unlike any Tom kha gai I've ever had. It was one note and filled with rice noodles and even cucumber. I couldn't eat it. Next up was the spicy tuna. It was a terrible texture so no amount of soy or wasabi could save it. Lastly was supposed to be tofu pad Thai but it was full of the strangest veggies for a pad Thai: broccoli, celery, and tons of cabbage. The taste was very sweet and did not hit on any of the other notes of pad thai: sour, spicy, or salty. Was ketchup used? I hated it and the mushy rice noodle texture. I was extremely disappointed as I couldn't eat anything that I spent $30 on.

    This was AMAZING !

Was in the area and googled the location. I received a very warm welcome upon coming in the door. I ordered a spring roll appetizer that was amazing. The dip that came with the spring rolls was awesome. My meal came and it was very appealing in sight. I ordered a dish that had a slight kick to it. When I say that it was good.. .it was good. The vegetables were cooked perfect. Even the rice was hot and tasty. I am not much into carrots but they were good also. And to complete my meal I ordered a sushi roll that was recommended by a staff member. The Dynamite sushi roll is definitely something I will order again. This place is a hidden jewel. If you are in the Kannapolis area come check Bonsai Kitchen out. You will not be disappointed!

Looking for fast and friendly service? Say no more. Hibachi pit is the perfect lunch spot for when you want to grab a quick bite with huge portions. You can customize your meal making it as healthy or unhealthy as you want it to be. I ordered the rice bowl with crispy chicken and the sweet and spicy sauce. The sauces all come on the side in a small cup, but you can ask for more. There was so much chicken in my bowl, and plenty of rice and veggies to go along with it. The chicken was on par with most fast casual places. I did need to use lots of sauce though to get more flavor out of the bowl. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it's a good staple to have in your lunch rotation! The price is really fair too, you get what you pay for.

We visited Hibachi Pit in Concord to celebrate Team Appreciation Week. Since we are big fans of…read moretheir affiliate, The Smoke Pit, we had high hopes for the food quality--and they did not disappoint! Our party of 8 had a bit of a bumpy start. We were crowded around the entrance for a while without much direction until I checked in; they have a policy of not seating until the entire party arrives (6 of us were there, awaiting 2). Once the full group was present, though, we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent--very polite and on top of things. Even when two of our orders came out wrong, the server corrected the mistakes so quickly it didn't disrupt the meal at all. The food quality is definitely where this place shines: * Portion Sizes: Massive. As you can see from the photos, the trays are packed to the edges with rice, noodles, and protein. * Quality: The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about the quality of their meat. * Affiliation: Knowing they are connected to The Smoke Pit gave us high expectations for the proteins, and they lived up to the name. While it might not be the absolute best hibachi I've ever had, the combination of great service, huge portions, and solid food quality makes it an easy recommendation. It's a great spot for a group--just make sure your whole party arrives at the same time!

We were seated quickly and with great friendliness. The atmosphere is casual and the lighting is what you'd expect. Noise level was a comfortable medium and to our enjoyment, played songs of worship. The food seems to be relatively unchanged, but without seeing and hearing Gods presence, it doesn't quite hold the same weight it did before. Noodle entree explicitly had vegetarian choices but most of the rice dishes had some or other meat. While they were flexible to change the ingredient but I wish they made the rice vegetables and specific meats to add just as the left side. The food comes on hot scale of 1-5 and we ordered a 3 and 2 but one that was made on 2 scale was hotter than 3. We requested they replace it which they did after bit of resistance, so for a child may be ask for spice level of 1 next time. Pad see ew and lomein were good otherwise. Spring roll was good. Tom yum soup listed had seafood but we asked they make vegetarian and they were able to puts lots of vegetables, I wish they offered it as either or. The ambiance is a that of a bit old Thai place. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and an Udon Bowl and shared both entrees among the three of us so we could sample a little of everything. We ended up eating very little because it just wasn't enjoyable. Service at the take out section was fine, but based on this visit, the food simply didn't deliver the bold, fresh flavors we were hoping for.
