Still one of our favorite Thai places, Sabaidee has amazing food, great service, and the ambiance is really quite something. Even their outside patio is exotic. Highly recommend Sabaidee for your dining experience.

    Drunken Noodle with Chicken!

Really good authentic Thai food right off the interstate in Kannapolis. I had the drunken noodle with chicken at a #2 spice level. The heat and flavor was very well balanced along with the perfect ratio of meat & veggies to noodles! Very Chill intimate indoor space with outdoor seating available as well. No complaints at all in terms of the service. All of the servers were welcoming & went above and beyond.

The green tea was delicious and just what I needed on a cold day.

I went there with my family and I really enjoyed it! The decor inside was just beautiful. I can't really judge too much just on one visit but the food was good and the service was very good as well. I'm looking forward to going back.

I decided to get some takeout because I was craving Thai and the closest Thai restaurants to me weren't open. I was pleased to see that they have some noodle lunch specials under $10, a rarity these days. I got the "pad see eiw" with tofu. It was ready within 10 minutes and came with a single potsticker. I was pleased that they used fresh rice noodles instead of dried noodles. Good soft, chewy texture. The portion size was solid and left me feeling full when I was done eating. The potsticker was fried to perfection, not overdone. Honestly, I'm probably gonna make this my regular spot for Thai food seeing as the food was done fast, was pretty cheap, and was really tasty! No complaints at all.

Food was delicious as always. Tried the Pink Passion drink and it was sooooo delicious and refreshing, couldn't even taste the alcohol in it. Service was fast and the staff was friendly and helpful

Since I visit this restaurant so often it is apparently my favorite local restaurant. So it is only fair that I upgrade from 4 stars to 5! I LOVE it here! My favorite items are maple or teriyaki duck and plum wine. To me their best sushi roll is the crunchy country roll, but I have yet to be disappointed by any of their appetizers or entrees. I wasn't crazy about their cocktails, but recently tried the Bangkok Sunrise and now it's a favorite. The decor is cute and cozy with multiple seating opts: booth, pub-height table, regular table, bar and small outdoor patio area. The bar is tiny, seating only about 4 people. Service for dine-in and carryout is usually fast, even on busier days. Staff is always pleasant and very efficient.

Original charge ($2 extra paid for fried rice)

Horrible customer service. The restaurant's website has weekday lunch specials for $7.95 lunch specials $2 more with fried rice. My order was called in 5 mins before opening when I arrived to get my food it was not fresh. The chicken was soggy and extremely dry and tough We placed the order as soon as the restaurant open so you'd definitely assume that the food would be fresh, it was not! And it was not what I ordered. I was given orange chicken not sesame seed and I had white rice not fried. I had already been charged $2 more for the fried rice. I walked the food back in and informed them of the issues. The lady (said) her name was Donna. She was extremely rude she made it seem like I was lying and being a burden for asking for my food to be corrected and as order. She kept cutting me off while talking and saying she took the order and that the food I'd fresh I asked if she had a fork to show her. She told me all she could do was pour more sauce on it she told me the difference was the sauce has seeds and the one they placed on my food did not. I said no ma'am I'd like it fresh and made according to how I ordered it and with sesame seed with fried rice .She kept saying over and over that the chicken was fresh and all she could do was pour more sauce on top. I asked for a manager and she stated she was the manager I again said ma'am id just like my food fresh fried rice and Sesame seeds... she took the dish and said well it's going to look the same way once we box it it gets smashed down I said that's ok I'd just like it fresh she said follow me and took me to the back of the restaurant and gave me new food - it looked TOTALLY different, because it fresh food. However she still gave me white jasmine rice. I told her I'd still like my fried rice as I had paid the $2 extra online she said no you still owe me I owed her $2. I showed my receipt showing the change . Their website $7.95 she pulled a menu from the counter and showed me...the price and the description was different from online. In the restaurant it was an orange chicken not the sesame seed L8 online it was $8.95 I made her aware of all of this. But she still said you owe me $2. so I paid the extra $2 therefore I've paid $4 extra dollars for this meal. I used my entire lunchtime going back and forth with her. When I arrived back at work I called and asked for a manager.. it was the same lady stating she was the manager again. I asked her to pull up their website I told her it's not about the money but how I was treated. I told her there are 2 different prices listed on the website. I asked her to pull the website then said had a customer although she had just answered my call at this time she said she'd have her manager (Peter) - whom she never spoke up prior to this pull the website and if it's wrong he can fix it. And I'd get a call back, that call never happened. She Never apologized and I didn't get the sesame seeds and I paid $4 extra while using my entire lunch break! Horrible experience . I will NOT return it's so sad because the very first experience was so good. This experience has ruined it.

What we saw right by the kitchen next to the bathroom. Nasty place and nasty people.

What a disappointment, disaster and disgrace. The Asian women who work at this place including manager have the worst entitled attitude and was very mean and rude to our little daughters for not liking the bland food. The Asian waitress brought the wrong order twice I guess because they were so busy and she looked very stressed out and was upset at my 3 year old daughter when she didn't like it and wanted it changed. She also charged us for it. Very rude and mean and we will never go back. They are disgraceful

Black Dragon Roll - shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, cucumber topped with eel, spicy mayo and eel sauce.

Stopped by for takeout on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 pm. Ordered a Black Dragon Roll and a small Tom kha kai soup, which is a velvety creamy coconut milk based soup with thin slices of chicken breast, mushroom caps, cilantro, garlic and lime. Very yummy, but nothing remarkable. I'd definitely dine in the next time I'm in the area and have time as the inside was beautiful - though I forgot to take a pic. Service was very quick but a tip for takeout orders - cutlery and napkins are not included in the bag so be sure to grab some from the counter on your way out!

Sabaidee Thai and Sushi was a pleasant surprise. The inside has a nice ambiance as it is nicely decorated and the lights were dim for evening dinner. I had their Thai special which was very good. You can substitute or remove any item, which is nice. They provide a very good serving of whatever you order; certainly enough to bring home. I will definitely go back. My boys like sushi and I like Thai so it is a perfect combination!

    Crab Rangoon

I travel for work and enjoy sushi, for a middle of NC sushi place I was very impressed! It was very large rolls for a great cost and the Crab Rangoons was the best crab to cream cheese ratio I've had in a while! Service was pretty far, very tentative but very to the point, no small talk or true server. It was a group effort from the staff. The food came fast though! Probably the best ambiance I've seen in a while. Beautiful decor and great vibe!

This place is pretty straight forward thai food. I have not been blown out of the water by flavor but it is very consistent and has great lunch specials. What is more is that the sushi can be trusted and is just as consistent. Maybe it's basic to me because I haven't found the right dish yet. I've had the pad Thai- if you like it sweet, it's for you. I've requested it spicy every time but it's always sweet. I also like the pad wonseen here. All the curries are, as I've stated, as you'd expect. I will say that the interior of Thai location is beautiful. It has to be the prettiest restaurant in the area. I'm not exaggerating. It also has some of the nicest staff. If consistency, fast service, and a great value are your priorities on dining or taking out, this place is for you.

Our server was nice and attentive and I made sure to order quickly. I was starving anyway so this was all perfect, honestly lol. I tried the sora roll which is: spicy yellowtail and cucumber, topped with yellowtail and avocado, crispy shallots, masago, spring onions, and yuzu miso reduction. THIS WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! I probably could've eaten two. I will 100% be back very soon to have this again lol. I also tried their brussel sprouts and really loved those too! They were cooked and flavored perfectly. I also really love the ambiance of this place. It was perfectly dime lit and it just looks soooooooo nice inside. The decor, the bar, everything was super nice. The only access problem was the parking as the parking lane is very narrow. I don't know if there's additional parking for Yama but I drive a truck so I had to back out of the parking entrance. Just drove around the corner onto a Main Street, not South Blvd, n viola there was street parking on the side, no signs for time limits. All good. It was for a late lunch with visiting friends. Atmosphere for this meetup made us stay later than we should have bc I think we stayed til around 4:30pm? Lunch service finished maybe around 2:30-2:45? Felt badly for the person at the reception but he said it was no problem. I hv bn to Yama in Waverly a couple of times n now Yama Loso. Both serve a modern twist to Asian dishes. I love traditional Japanese meals but I also enjoy twists in recipes once in a while. Spicy edamame for starters. Looked great but I can't eat spice at the moment so I can't rate it tho my friends did eat it all up. Ate the sushi rice bowl but w/o the spicy aioli sauce n asked for something else which was on the sweet side. Comforting meal, not overwhelming, just right. Edamame, cucumbers, yellow pickled daikon, tuna, salmon, avocado. A simple lunch was all I needed. Then, the hamachi neck part came grilled, not on the menu but if they hv it they'll serve it tender n juicy. Only reason I left a star out was bc of the parking. Other than that, I'd probably go there again if I'm on that side of Charlotte but for me Waverly is closest.

Sadly, there is just not much as far as decent selection within at least 30+ minutes driving in the area. However, Chef Thai is exactly what I expect and want from a wonderful Thai restaurant; slightly tacky decorations, nothing fancy, and wonderful smelling aromas coming from the kitchen! As of now June 2022, they are ONLY DOING TAKE OUT. So if you want to eat there, please call to see if they are open. They do take orders for takeout by phone as well. The staff I have dealt with are always very pleasant and they are extremely fast for the quality of food. My first time in I was delighted to see they had my favorite Thai specialty on the menu, Pad Prik Khing, and it may be the best rendition of it I have had anywhere! As with most places they offer their entree in a range of spice, I typically get "hot" and it is not as hot a a lot of other places, so if you want really hot, go for "Thai hot". Chef Thai is definitely a great place and I hope they continue to do well as they are definitely one of the best quality restaurants in the surrounding area, even though they may not be very well known.

Initially when we walked by the store front I was not impressed and was actually making my way to another restaurant located at the back of the food hall. While I was looking around, I happened to turn around and see a gentleman eating a massive sushi burrito. I immediately interrupted his eating and inquired where he had gotten it. He of course directed me back to Flip Sushi. We spoke to the lady behind the counter who informed us that the customer was eating their OCEAN LOVERS poke bowl but it had been made into a burrito. She stated any of their bowls could be made into a burrito and we could add or subtract any ingredient(s). The Ocean Lovers included: Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon, Shrimp, Seaweed Salad, Avocado, Edamame, Cucumber, Carrots, Rice. we opted to omit the Yellowtail and add double tuna with spicy mayo. When we got the burrito it was HUGE. It is definitely big enough for 2 people with healthy appetites' to share. When we were finished we had to go back and talk to the young lady behind the counter and complement her on the food. We ended up finding out she was actually the chef who had created the menu. We could not stop raving about the roll. The rice mirin used in the rice was perfectly seasoned for the rice; not too sweet and not too sour. The vegetables were fresh and crisp and the fish was fresh and flavorful. I loved the roll so much I could have just eaten a veggie one and been completely satisfied (this is a BIG compliment coming from me because I am a major meat and potatoes girl). The only negative thing I can say about this place is that it has a lack of advertising. The walls of the restaurant/booth are painted black and there are no pictures of any of the food; only the neon sign and the menu. I feel the business is really missing out on an opportunity to sell this amazing food by not showing any of it. Had I not seen that one customer's food, I would never had know what I was missing
