Absolutely beautiful location that is ideal for special events. A wedding was the reason for my visit and the coordinator was really helpful. The bride's room is perfect for the entire party. I just had my wedding here this past Sunday and I cannot say enough about how magical and beautiful this place is. Once we walked the grounds earlier this year we knew this was going to be the spot. So unique and so lush, a perfect little oasis in the middle of the city. We had a morning brunch wedding and Tasha was so accommodating. Everything went perfectly and everyone kept commenting at how beautiful everything was. Looking for a unique, affordable, exclusive wedding venue, I came across Boojum Tree in a Google search. The photos and reviews enticed me to call. Tasha answered the phone and answered all my questions and provided prices right away. My husband and I had visited a few other top recommended venues, but none seemed to be the fit we were looking for (most were boring square, buildings like dance hall rentals, outdated landscaping or had to share the venue). I set an appointment and toured Boojum Tree with Tasha and fell in love with the place. The photos simply did not do it justice. It's landscape was so beautiful and filled with unique, magical character. There were several fountains, handcrafted scenery, naturally manicured plants and real coy ponds. There was an indoor tropical garden like no other, with a rainforest waterfall. It felt like a mini Sedona and tropical oasis in the midst of Phoenix. We easily decided to schedule our wedding event at Boojum Tree and signed the contract. Everything went smoothly on the wedding day, and Tasha was a perfect Officiant. We did have one snafu, as the photographer was taking photos of our rings on a lily pad over the fountain, my wedding band fell in! Tasha and a staff member, along with the photographer, did not hesitate to jump in and sift through the rocks, muck and fish to find it (and thank goodness it was recovered!). Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for, majestic, relaxed and unforgettable. We felt that Boojum tree has so much to offer and we just didn't want to leave! I was a +1 of a wedding held here so I have no bias about the selection of venue. This place basically has a rustic southwest decor throughout which isn't really my thing, but I'm sure makes for some nice photos. 80% of the venue is outdoors. Only indoor part was the dinner seating which we only spent an hour inside of a "green house" like structure (corrugated domed roof). The place was decorated with ribbon lights and other soft lighting which was festive and fun. It became cold at night which they had propane heat stand lamps (does nothing for keeping your feet warm). The food was mediocre, I had the filet mignon which was a tad overcooked (would have like more pink or red in middle). Now for the things that stood out as bad. One bartender, one bar, outside only; not a big deal for the small party we had. Wood parts of the flooring sometimes had gaps which women wearing high heels had to be careful not to get caught in a gap. Dance floor outside. Ceremony outside. Bathrooms where all the way on the other side of the grounds from the dining area, it is also only covered in the bathroom but mostly exposed to the outside temps and insects if they were present. If the weather was worse I'm not sure what the contingencies were with regard to the mostly exposed outdoor areas (path to bathroom, dance area, ceremony area). There was a cat there which I guess was around for rodent control, but I don't think they have a problem with that since I didn't see any food left out for more than a minute. The service people were very kind and attentive, they were professional and non-intrusive, they get 5 stars for service. I'm not sure if I liked the format of the wedding events, but that could be more about decisions of the couple and/or wedding coordinator. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Pretty place, but far better options exist, with far better service and communication. Prior to making a decision to choose this as your wedding venue (which is many peoples happiest/biggest days of their lives), during a pandemic with many restrictions, ask a thorough amount of questions to ensure that the day they are "promising" you, is able to happen exactly as you envision it. Furthermore, keep in mind the state and local restrictions as they pertain to gatherings, because if your dream wedding consists of 300 people, and the state changes and decides to limit it to 50 or 150, BOOjum Tree will not offer any ability to cancel your big day, or refund you. So, as stated prior, beautiful place, but read their contract thoroughly, or have your own drafted, so that the biggest day of your life is not met with any hiccups, i.e. limitations on attendees, like having to cut your Aunt from out of state who has already invested money and hours of planning to attend. If you are the type to not mind if your big day gets limited, then this is the place for you! My husband and I were married here on in March of 2016. As others say, initially the all inclusive package may seem expensive, but wow, what an easy process! I was trying to finish up a final year of graduate school and they helped make the process so much easier. We booked in October for a mid March wedding and that was more than enough time. Jennifer was so easy and friendly to work with that I never had a worry. The entire day was super smooth, the staff was all friendly, our guests all loved the venues and the so many exciting photography opportunities. It's not a super great venue if you have a ton of kids or people with mobility restrictions, but otherwise it's super great! And for the couples- there are bathrooms in the dressing rooms, so don't worry about having to book it across the property to go. read more

One of the Valley's best kept secrets. I got married here in September 2011 and it was amazing. This venue was the prefect mix of desert rustic and beauty. Tasha the event coordinator was a dream to work with. And the vendors were amazing. I love looking at my wedding album, definitely not your typical wedding venue. My husband and I hosted a joint baby shower for my sister in law and his cousin at The Boojum Tree, and it was beautiful! The venue is different and a total escape from the desert landscape. Our guests were very awed by the size and the rainforest room! Jennifer worked with us throughout the whole process and she was great! Always available to answer our questions and made the whole thing very simple even planning from Chicago. She also saved our life the night before the event and helped us fix a crisis. My husband Zach and I just had our wedding at the Boojum Tree April 16th, and could not have been happier with our choice of venue!! It's tucked away in north Phoenix just off the AZ-51, in an area you'd never suspect. Once inside you are greeted by sparkling fountains, lush greenery, and interested decorations from one end to the other. Our guests had so much to do in the space, which includes many seating areas, a large courtyard where the ceremony is held, a bar cantina, and indoor greenhouse. It was so cute seeing all the photos people posted online afterward from all over the venue! Our ceremony was stunning under their romantic stucco archway, backlit by dozens of candles. Drinks and hors d' oeuvres were enjoyed followed by an amazing dinner in the greenhouse. You don't need much in the way of decorations when the whole space is just stunning! We rounded out the evening dancing under the stars on their large gazebo dance floor surrounded by palm trees. Truly unforgettable. Jennifer Brooks was our wedding coordinator and was incredible through the entire process. She is supportive, offers helpful suggestions, and is truly invaluable for the day-of. We will be recommending Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens to all of our family and friends for all of their future events. This is by far one of the most beautiful places I have come across here in Arizona! Our wedding coordinator, Jennifer, made our wedding day be as close to perfect as can be. She was great with our family (family who speaks very little english) and she took care of everything so that we didn't have to feel stressed over any aspect. The Boojum Tree has great packages to choose from that require so little from you that they even include a knife for cutting the cake. My husband and I just worried about buying my dress and his suit. i heard about Boojum Tree from a friend who attended a corporate party there. when i got engaged, we wanted to elope mostly because nothing in phoenix appealed to me for a venue. and then i decided to check out boojum tree. and i was in LOVE! we had a very small morning wedding there and couldn't be happier with how the day turned out! Tasha and the bartending service (Set M Up) we contracted with were so accommodating. the grounds were eclectic and totally fit the theme of my wedding so i didn't need to do anything to decorate...really...but they let me bring in items to really personalize the day. they treated us so well...even though we were having such a small event. i will forever be singing the praises of Boojum Tree. if you're looking for a unique venue for your event (wedding or otherwise) don't hesitate to call Boojum Tree! oh...and...you can rent the venue by the hour for family photos if you want. there are so many wonderful backgrounds for photos! we ran out of time before we were able to shoot in front of all the backgrounds we wanted to. read more

We recently attended a friend's wedding at the Boojum Tree. As we entered I thought it was a beautiful place. It's vintage and eclectic. I loved the western feel of the place. Here's where my love stopped: the mosquitoes. We attended the rehearsal and the wedding. After being there about half an hour for the rehearsal, I had about 5 bites. Ok no big, deal, right? After the wedding ceremony the next afternoon I doused myself in bug spray that was at the cantina. By the time we left and got home I had 42 bites on my legs and arms. I'm not even someone that gets bit by bugs normally. I felt like I was swatting at bugs all night long. It was disgusting. Obviously the venue is aware of the problem since they provide bug spray, so you'd think they'd do more to solve the problem! I'm so glad I didn't get married at a place like this. I spent the rest of my 10 day vacation in Phoenix scratching at my arms and legs! Not to mention how lovely my legs looked covered in red bumps! HAHA! Also only a handful of people danced. People were too spread out in the grounds and the bride even went "missing" for a bit when she went to see people on the other side of the venue. The bathrooms are also far away from the dinner / reception area, the dining area smells a bit moldy when you enter, but you get used to it. The lights in there are beautiful. The food was ok. I guess you can't expect much when it's being cooked for 150 people. read more

I can not say enough good things about this venue. From the moment I stepped on the property I fell in love with the place- and it only got better from there! The property is gorgeous, well maintained, unique and even has resident cats (a huge plus for me). Our day of coordinator/main contact Jennifer was FANTASTIC. She was quick to respond to any questions we had and extremely thorough in our final walk through to make sure she knew exactly how we wanted our decorations, schedule, seating charts, etc. She was extremely organized and it was obvious she has experience in coordinating weddings by the way she conducted our rehearsal and wedding set up. The day of our wedding my family and I literally had to do NOTHING but get ready and pass out the family corsages/boutonnieres. Jennifer had all of the decorations set up before we arrived on site and everything was perfect and in its place. I have been to weddings before which were complete chaos leading up to the ceremony because of the disorganization and lack of communication from the venue-that was not the case with this venue. Our wedding was flawless and we have Jennifer and the lovely staff at Boojum tree to thank for that! read more

We got married here yesterday. It was beautiful and everyone loved the venue. Tasha was great to work with and there are just so many cool places to take pictures. We did a morning ceremony in late April. The only complaint I have is that where we had the ceremony (center courtyard) had only 50% shade. The groom's side was empty because everyone was huddled around the shady south side. I love living close to here so I can sneak a peek when I'm out walking the dogs. read more

My family and I were treated horribly at this venue. My mother made the wedding cake and when she brought the cake with my wife to the venue the wedding planner treated my wife and mother like they were "below her". During the entire event the wedding planner was very rude and had an attitude about almost everything. We asked her to turn a heater back on and she asked why we turned it off. We mentioned that it got a little too warm and she said in a rude tone "you know you can back away from the heater if it's too hot". At the end of the night my mother asked the wedding planner if she was throwing out the remaining cupcakes and she made a comment stating " i dont Want your cupcakes". With that type of response my mother said, "excuse me but that is not a way to treat your customers and i would Never recommend anyone to this venue". The wedding planner replied "we don't want you back here anyways". I was Really blown away at the attitude and lack of customer service from the wedding planner. At the very end of the night i let The wedding planner and an older man with her know that they were very rude and that they should never treat a customer that way. They argued back at me and the older man literally wanted to fist fight me. It was very disappointing and not what i would expect from a venue like this. The venue is beautiful but the wedding planner was terrible and i would Never go near this place. My family and I are Hispanic and i think it may have something to do with the way we were treated. She was also rude to other races so maybe that isn't a valid point. Please beware on your special day. read more

This place was the perfect wedding venue for my cousin's wedding. The venue was hidden in a private area behind a neighborhood. I loved the seclusion and the fact that this venue was actually made for parties. There were plenty of seating everywhere! Seatings, fire pits, and heat lamps. Their dance floor was a beautiful, giant gazebo. The bar area had plenty of seats and tables for guests as well as a huge reception area. Basically, this venue was beautiful and exotic! The only downfall is the amount of mosquito bites I got by the end of the wedding. read more

Would give it a negative star if possible. Was just passing by to see the outside of the grounds and decided it was worth looking into further. Not to mention a sign posted outside said all guests had to check in with the front office so I obliged. Damn that was a mistake. I was chastised like a child for not having an appointment. After further inquiry we concluded the dates we were looking for were booked up and there was no way around it. I asked to leave my information and be contacted if there were any cancellations. "We have no way of knowing that" Sooo you don't know when an event is cancelled at your venue? Or you're just a bitch?? Totally rude. Anyone who gives this place less than five stars is NUTS. If they had an issue with the food, that is the caterer (should have used Bruce Brown) not Boojum Tree. If bathrooms were too far, the host could have rented an executive portable bathroom. The staff is phenomenal, the venue is outdoor eclectic, so to complain about spaces in wood slat flooring is NUTS. My daughter was married there in November two years and guests are STILL talking about the wedding. If you want a memorable wedding that gives you the best bang for your buck, Boojum Tree is THE place to go. read more

Planning a wedding is stressful, but Boojum Tree truly does make it effortless. We opted for a package that included catering, DJ, and bar services. Although the package cost does seem expensive initially, when it comes down to not having to research and hire all of the various rentals and vendors, it is so well worth the price. We were impressed by all of the vendors and the communication between all parties was extremely clear. The included wedding coordinator, Taylor, went above and beyond as well. She was so professional and helpful in the planning process and especially on the day of the wedding. Appearance wise, the Boojum Tree is so gorgeous and unique. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful it was. We had our holiday company party here December 2015 with about 105 in attendance. The site and setting was absolutely beautiful and perfect. I heard comments from many employees that it was the best holiday event ever. It wasn't too formal nor too rustic. Taylor Leslein was incredibly helpful and responsive to our needs. Great DJ and awesome food by the recommended caterer we used. Ran short on desserts but we'll plan more for next time. :-) read more
