I browsed through the books & finally landed on the true crime section, which peaked my interest. I grabbed a book & took it to checkout, they were polite & offered me a bag. The book price was very affordable & I even got a discount! Unfortunately the cats were hiding so I didn't get to say hello to them, but this is such a gem of a store & i recommend that you visit!

When I found a book and bought it the lady at the counter was being pretty rude. I went there before and no issue but I dont think I will be going again due to how uncomfortable me and my family was, especially when they are supposed to promote the cats for adoption.

They also have CDs, records, vhs tapes, art work, old magazines/news papers..just so many things. The prices on some things are a touch high...but it's worth it if it keeps Grumpy's going. There is a public restroom if you end up staying longer than expected..like we did. We ended up taking home 5 books, a picture we took off the wall, and an awesome experience..spent $16 for everything.

Just saw that they moved out towards Dallastown on S. Queen Street. Will have to visit soon. Noticed they don't have hours listed on Yelp. Hope they are open. Wonder if they still have coffee. If not there is a Starbucks nearby that I love to visit. There is plenty of parking.

I had to stop in as I love a local bookstore and was blown away. It's a cafe and plant store with the best curated book selection I've seen. It's a tight collection of books and the owners were celebrating their one year opening and were giving out cookies! I would make the hour drive just to spend time in this bookstore! The staff made my friend really good about her book purchase. There's a dedicated children's section that's so cozy and instagrammable. There was also a sale cart which you don't often see in bookstores, if you're looking for a bargain might be a good stop for you. I'm still thinking about this bookstore as I write the review. Book prices are very reasonable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. In the time I was visiting, an employee helped me look for something, and they also took a phone call in which they searched all across the store on behalf of the caller to see if they had a book in stock. It has a lovely porch for reading outside in warmer weather, as well as some cozy seating inside. And the selection is excellent. They take care to stock books across a wide range of genres for all types of readers and interests. The store promotes a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone, and the employees are always friendly and helpful. On my most recent visit I scored a bargain from the sale cart and got a hardcover on my TBR list for 20% off. They also have a nice selection of gift items and stationary. A great place to spend an afternoon browsing through all the rooms.
