When at the airport, it's great to have convenient shops to purchase items needed for the flight or…read morejust something to bring back a loved one. Maybe this particular employee was having a difficult day, but from my observation it seemed just being a little lazy. This location lacked customer service. The girl in front of me was purchasing an item and worked at the airport. I witnessed the worker not give a discount cause her " register was closed". I think whether or not the discount is small the employee is entitled to get it. For me, I asked a simple question if they had an item in stock ( coconut water) The employee said no, and I found it myself. It's just disappointing to see someone represent the store that doesn't care.

My daughter was harassed by the man who works here while traveling from Massachusetts back home to…read moreCalifornia. He caused her extreme anxiety and made her very uncomfortable. She went in and asked about a charger which had no price on it. His response to her was "how much do you want it to be?" She found a half off rack, again with no marked price. She asked again how much this charger was, and he responded she did not want that because it was broken. He continued with personal questions, "are you alone?" "Who are you visiting?" He asked her how old she was and when she responded 17, she thought he would back off. He kept on with nosy and inappropriate questions in addition to creepily staring her up and down. He continued to try to play a game of cat and mouse with her in regards to the charger and finally she just grabbed one and went to pay at the self-checkout. The man walked over, took the charger out of her hand and proceeded to scan it himself... (An attempt to be closer to her.) She hurriedly paid and she left. She immediately called her father and while she was telling him what happened she turned around to see that he was right behind her and had closed the store by pulling the gate down. Her dad and I instructed her to go straight to an employee in the airport and let them know. By this time she was terrified. They got the police involved and we were told that the man would be spoken to, but he had left when he heard My daughter talking to her dad. On top of all of this the $40 charger that she bought did not work. She saved the receipt and the box along with the charger and I have written to corporate bringing their attention to the type of people they have employed and requesting a refund. I have yet to get a response to two emails that I have sent already. I don't care how convenient the store is, whoever they have working there seems to be dangerous. I'm sure that this is not the first or the last time this will happen. Just a warning for any single women or younger people traveling. The one star is only because there is no option for zero stars. Disgusting behavior not to mention selling broken items.

I feel like it might almost be difficult to make a charger that works this poorly without that being part of the research and development process? It was a sale on fairly tacky t-shirts that look like they didn't sell because they were, well, fairly tacky. But I like sales. So I picked up a couple. They had a single price tag on them 14.99, and the sign said the discount is taken at the register. When I got to the register, he let me know though that the sale price was already marked, that, indeed, these t-shirts were ALREADY 75 percent off at 14.99, even though the posted sign said otherwise. So, the tacky t-shirts, actually retailed for 59.96 but oh boy, come get your deal and get them for 14.99 ... they're right next to the 2 for 30 dollar sweatshirts, which looked to be just .. a deal ... and NOT a discount. No, I'm not buying a 14.99 tacky t-shirt, as thousands before me had not bought them either. Even when you pretend to make it that much more attractive a price by claiming it is 75 percent off of the original retail price. Hudson News, you insult your customers. Of course I did not buy there. Anything. Not even that soda.

Their reviewing guidelines make it a lot easier to peruse for useful information versus a site like 'ratebeer'. They also have a large following, which means their ratings actually MEAN something. Now there's a newspaper version. The Weekly Dig used to have at least one article each issue -- several, usually -- that actually *added* something to the world, rather than simply comment on, complained about, or advertised it. But no, actual original content has fallen far down the ladder behind "personality" pieces -- articles in which the real subject is the author him/herself, and the purported topic is just the vehicle for this person to showcase their idea of how funny/annoyed/cool they want you to know they are. In fact it's sort of like this one web site that's popular nowadays, you know the one... Seriously, it goes out of its way to make Stuff at Night look sincere. Is that really worth the trouble?
