They're super fast, they email and call when the order comes in, and the books always show up in perfect condition. Since each Kinokuniya is basically its own franchise, every store has a different vibe. This one leans more toward stationery and gifts than a huge selection of Japanese books or magazines. It's a great date spot, but not really the place to dig for rare anime or manga collectibles. The space is smaller than some of the other LA locations, and with Animate nearby, they don't carry every item you might expect. If you want something specific, just order ahead and use their buying service--it's the move.
