I've been a novice CrossFit enthusiast for about 10 years and have dropped into boxes local to Temecula and nationwide. These gyms have not ever come close to providing the commitment, camaraderie, and community that Eric and Boombox provide. My first experience with Boombox was when I had left my previous gym in 2016 as a newer level 1 coach and Eric was quick to welcome me to the Boombox family. It took one drop-in for me to know that BMBX was the right spot for me and to know I was in good hands. My husband and I dropped into the Friday 9:30 CrossFit class and had a great time! We're experienced CrossFitters dropping in from out of state and we were able to join in on the class without any troubles. Owner/coach Eric led our class and he did a great job warming us up, walking us through the workout, and making us feel welcome. The gym is exactly what you want and expect out of a CrossFit gym--big garage doors, nice equipment, and friendly people. Love this box! I grew up in Temecula and moved to the Bay Area for college. I had only been doing CrossFit for a couple weeks and I checked out this place when I visited my family back home. I'm so glad I did I dropped in! The class and coaches in the gym are super knowledgeable and supportive, not to mention elite athletes. They make you feel like family as soon as you walk in. If you have ever heard what crossfit is about or you have any pre conceived notions about crossfit than we were exactly alike. I had absolutely ZERO desire to try crossfit and i had heard some negative comments about it. My wife loves it and she asked my to try just one class and make a decision for myself. If you're looking for a box in the Temecula area, I highly recommend this one. Overall great box and great experience. You could tell the they take care of their equipment. No chalk build up on bars, bumper plates and collars were in great shape. Very clean and tidy. I will be back. Eric was welcoming and super friendly. He introduced me to the coaching staff and other team members, who were also very approachable. I came to Boombox Crossfit for a drop-in class and ended up staying the entire week. What initially attracted me to Boombox was the programming. I compared it to several other nearby CrossFit boxes and hands down they program the best -- a great combination of skills, strength, and a metcon in every WOD that's exciting, challenging, and leaves you feeling quite juicy after the clock hits zero. It's so good I wish my home box would incorporate some of these WODs into their rotation! But what kept me going back to Boombox -- and will keep me going back every time I'm in town -- is the friendly and knowledgeable coaches and athletes.
