    Fried pickles

I think I have a new favorite place for potato skins! With skins disappearing around menus everywhere, it was freaking to see them in a menu and also actually really enjoy them with the amount of bacon and chives you get. I also had fried pickles and split a wing order with ghost pepper flavor and lemon pepper hot. I thought the lemon pepper would have more of a buffalo flavor, but they were still good. The ghost pepper was a subtle heat, not too spicy really. We came in after a nearby sporting event on a Monday night and the place was pretty full as there were a lot of sporting games on the tvs. We sat and ordered quickly and then had to wait for quite awhile for our food. We had 3 kids in the group and after waiting 25 mins for food and the appetizer we ordered (just chips and queso), our waitress finally came back and said the food would be another 20 mins because the kitchen was backed up! We asked if our kids could at least get their food since it was getting late, and our waitress wasn't sure. Luckily the wait was only about 15 more mins but by then we were alls starving and tired only ate enough to sustain and then took the rest home. All in all the experience was okay, but waiting nearly an hour for food (as was everyone else around us) was kind of crazy.. especially for it not to be a weekend. Hopefully next time it'll be a bit faster!

We've really enjoyed the addition of Boomer Jack's to the area. Despite being a new restaurant and often crowded, we've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to be seated. Maybe we've been lucky? I really enjoyed their grilled chicken and shrimp with their seasonal vegetables. We've already been back a handful of times and I'm sure we will return again soon!

My family and I came here last week. We were seated within 10 mins. It was our first time at any Boomer Jack's Grill, I loved the decor, including all the big screen tvs! Everyone was so nice, including our server Kaitlynn. We started out with the jumbo pretzel and potato skins. I ordered the turkey pretzel melt, which was delicious. I really loved the pretzel bread. My family and I will definitely be back.

Came back to try some new entrees, since my last order wasn't the greatest, and well, it was delicious!! The Birria tacos were so flavorful, the chips were too hard for my liking, but a yummy meal. I did enjoy the burger the most. The beef, bacon and brisket with the bbq sauce was perfect, and I love their fries!! Def coming back to try more dishes!

The food was so good, atmosphere was nice, and the waitress was very attentive. They had an area where you could play Jenga and cornhole.

On opening day, you would expect it to be busy which it was. I had a good time here. Service was fast for me sitting at the bar. I didn't feel ignored at all! I had a couple drinks and my food order came quick hot and crispy just the way I expected it to be. Staff is friendly and it's a nice build, they have plenty of TV's around the bar and the regular sit down area.

    Burn it down!

Decision made, 54th Street for dinner it is. Arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the hostesses and shown to our table. Ava, our bubbly server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It always takes us a while to decide since there is SO many delectable items on 54th Street's menu. My wife decided on the Chicken Avocado Grill, with a side of fries. I opted for a half rack of baby back ribs with beans and Cole slaw. Miss Reba, our diva dog at home, will be VERY happy when her daddy brings home bones. After a short wait, Ava came by to let up know out entrees were almost ready. We told her we were in no rush at all, which we weren't. All the sudden one of the kitchen expeditors delivered our entrees. Oh yummy, everything looked wonderful. She loves 54th Street's fries. So the French fries were the first to be tasted. I saw an ugly face and wondered what was wrong. I tasted one of the fries and made the same ugly face. The was WAY TOO much salt on the fries. They were inedible. Fortunately one of the managers was close by and I summoned him to our table. My wife explained what the issue was with the fries. Since the French fries were on a separate plate, the manager asked if he could taste them. Yep, ugly face, way over seasoned. He said he'd be right back. He took the plate back to the kitchen. Shortly, he arrived back at our table with a new plate of fries and a cup of 54th Street's special seasoning on the side. Everything solved and a happy wife. My wife's chicken sandwich were delicious as well as my baby back ribs and sides. Thank you Ava, the management, and the whole staff of 54th Street for a wonderful visit. We'll see all again soon.

Have been back since then. Talk about your corner hole in the wall type places. It's located in the middle of an L shaped strip building. Inside is clean, and spacious. Nothing fancy here, but plenty of tables and a few booths. They have a covered outside patio, which might even be fully enclosed, with some pool tables. The bar location is on the back wall, with lots of seating. Full bar, with a reasonable amount of draft beers, and several good ones along with the normal commercial swill. I sat at the bar both times, and got great service. First time I did the usual and checked out the salsa and queso. Both were good and didn't taste like pre made stuff. If it was, well they picked a couple of winners. The serving was more than ample, more then I could eat over the course of the visit. Second time I went back, I was going to make a point to try the onion rings since they looked so good in the pics. As I was looking at the menu I noticed they had a Montecristo sandwich. As I've mentioned before, I have yet to find anything that even remotely comes close to the holy grail of MC sandwiches, the one and only made by Bennigan's. Of course, I ordered it, and the onions rings. I'm happy to say the MC here is the closest I've ever come to find. It was really good, and the jam served with it was also pretty dead on. It was a little nasty like it should be, but not as greasy as it should be, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. The onion rings were really good, even if the batter was flaking off a bit. Anyway, I like the place, wish I could drag myself out more. Been customers here every time I've been, but not as many that should be. They also have a digital jukebox so if you're here and ever hear something bizarre playing, it's probably me. Service and staff have always been very good. They know how to make a pretty good margarita as well, and prices are very good.

I found two charges on my bank statement, from the times they had held my card, even though I had paid in cash. I had not signed the receipt. Last time I was in there, the "night manager", asked me for my card. I told her I couldn't do that, since twice, I had been charged even though I had paid cash. Her response was "I still have to have the card because "I don't know you". She did not bother to check with any of the other bartenders, to ask about serving me previously. She also did not bother to even look the least bit concerned about the charges. She took the beer with both hands, raised her voice somewhat and said "then you can't drink here", making sure to inject some drama. The whole encounter demonstrated a COMPLETE lack of people skills, and an immediate willingness to be confrontational with regard to anything other than, "SHE" did not know me, without any attempt to do anything other than bully, control, and disregard the problem with the card being charged.
