My wife and I had just finished getting our hair cut and it was time for dinner before we headed home. 54th Street was right about the corner and they have an awesome menu with lots of selections. Decision made, 54th Street for dinner it is. Arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the hostesses and shown to our table. Ava, our bubbly server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It always takes us a while to decide since there is SO many delectable items on 54th Street's menu. My wife decided on the Chicken Avocado Grill, with a side of fries. I opted for a half rack of baby back ribs with beans and Cole slaw. Miss Reba, our diva dog at home, will be VERY happy when her daddy brings home bones. After a short wait, Ava came by to let up know out entrees were almost ready. We told her we were in no rush at all, which we weren't. All the sudden one of the kitchen expeditors delivered our entrees. Oh yummy, everything looked wonderful. She loves 54th Street's fries. So the French fries were the first to be tasted. I saw an ugly face and wondered what was wrong. I tasted one of the fries and made the same ugly face. The was WAY TOO much salt on the fries. They were inedible. Fortunately one of the managers was close by and I summoned him to our table. My wife explained what the issue was with the fries. Since the French fries were on a separate plate, the manager asked if he could taste them. Yep, ugly face, way over seasoned. He said he'd be right back. He took the plate back to the kitchen. Shortly, he arrived back at our table with a new plate of fries and a cup of 54th Street's special seasoning on the side. Everything solved and a happy wife. We love going here for game day! However, I and my party wished the volume was higher. We thought it was a one time thing but it's pretty consistent that the volume is always low. The food was decent but I wouldn't come here for the food. They are mostly known for their strong margaritas and draft beer. Starting with our back story, we were looking for a place to celebrate my late Grandmother's birthday (11/19) and wanted to take it easy so I came up with the idea of going back to 54th Street! It's been a while since coming but I think I've feel in love this time. We decided to all meet at 3:30 missing their lunch hour (11-3pm) but showing up just in time for happy hour!! Which ended up being perfect it was less crowded and we got to converse with each other intimately. For our table of 8 (5 adults, 3kids) we started off with a couple drinks and a load of appetizers which included Spinach Artichoke dip, Calamari, Crab Cakes, and a couple house salads. I have dined here a handful of times, and it's always fine. There is something on the menu for just about everyone. There food is delivered in a timely manner, the staff is friendly, and the space is fun and unique The food is fairly good, but many of the dishes are over seasoned. The fries we ordered on multiple plates were the saltiest we've ever had. The grilled shrimp plate was also over seasoned and way too salty. If you want water they bring you a carafe, but the glasses are as small as rocks cocktail glasses or smaller, and the carafe isn't huge. Because the food was so salty we had to keep requesting more water One other interesting feature is when you pay with card you are given a handheld device to complete your transaction. It is somewhat awkward in that the server will hover there are you check the contents of the receipt, enter a tip, and fill out a survey (if you are so inclined) The interior is fun with a hodgepodge of items cover the walls and ceiling. It looks like someone went to dozens of estate sales or antique shops and bought everything in sight. Some of the tchotchkes need a bit of light dusting, but on the whole the space is clean and inviting Some tips: If you order any dish with the cocktail sauce, it's delicious but it has a heavy horseradish kick. I recently visited 54th Street and had a pretty mixed experience. The establishment itself is very nice, clean, and has a great atmosphere. The service was excellent, our server was attentive, friendly, and checked in often. The fajitas were also very good and came out hot and flavorful. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. I found a blue rubber band in my loaded baked potato, which was pretty concerning. On top of that, I ordered a brownie and specifically asked whether it contained nuts due to a tree nut allergy. I was told it did not, but it arrived with walnuts in the crust. That was a serious safety issue and really took away from the overall experience. The food safety and allergy oversight need improvement. read more

My wife and I noticed that her drink on the bar appearedto be leaking, so we asked Riri for napkins. To that request, she said she would bring napkins and our silverware. The unfortunate thing is another 20 minutes passed and that never happened. We then noticed that more of my wifes drink appeared to be leaking on the bar so we checked the glass and realized it seemed to be cracked. Since Riri was MIA, I stopped the closest waitress and began to ask her for napkins or a towel, but before I could finish my statement, she interrupted by saying, "you need to get with your waitress for a new drink", and walked off. I was so upset by this display of unconcern, as well as our experience leading up to this, that I asked for a Manager. Jesse (Manager) came by and asked about the situation. He comped us our meal and drinks, which at this point, we were hesitant to even accept our food to go for free. Jeremy, who I think was the General Manager, then came by and apologized. I have been here multiple times, and each time just gets better and better! For starters, they have a great draft selection with multiple varieties of beer. Inside, they have a U-shaped bar with many bar stools to sit at and relax while enjoying an ice-cold beverage. They offer lunch specials throughout the week that won't break the bank and also have awesome happy hour specials on appetizers and drinks. They have a kids' menu that comes with a drink and your choice of vanilla ice cream or goldfish cookies. Inside is very decorative and has an abundance of sports memorabilia throughout this fine establishment. Some of my favorite apps are the fried pickle spears and calamari. They offer outdoor patio seating as well and have many booths and tables to dine in. The staff provides top-notch customer service and is eager to assist you in any way. The food and drinks come our fairly quick even on their busy days and nights. This place can get crowded,especially late at night. They have an APP as well that I highly recommend downloading to snag the latest perks and freebies that they offer for being a loyal guest. I came here for a going away party. It was a large party so I wasn't sure what to expect.. was it a private room? did we have a reservation? Come to find out that the back area and outside area is open seating. I thought the layout of the open seating area was great! I sat outside buy the fire pit (which was my favorite part) and our waiter helped us. My husband and I ordered the quesadilla, bread and butter, and a chicken salad. This was one of the more frustrating experiences we've had in quite some time. On a Thursday night, we looked at the online wait time. With a 15-25 minute wait, we went ahead and checked in and drove to 54th. By the time we arrived, we should have been close to the end of our wait. The host confirmed our arrival and said we would be seated shortly. Unfortunately, 20 minutes went by and no word. I asked the host how much longer and was not given a time, but told they were waiting to clear a table for us. Another 20 minutes go by and we wait as a party the same size as ours is immediately seated from the online check in, prompting us to ask again. At that time, we're told they were waiting on the same table to leave and that party had been there for 1.5 hours. We were also told that because of our stroller, only the one table could accommodate us. This was all around disappointing because we'd much rather just have that communicated. We would have happily taken our child out of the stroller so we could've immediately seated. Instead, we waited 40 minutes and ultimately decided we needed to leave because it was 7pm. The ambiance was nice, the food was average, but the service I received yesterday (May 12, 2026) was horrible. Not only did my order come out 15 minutes later after everyone else's order at the table , but the waiter also forgot the other guest's salads and biscuits and brought those items after the meal. Most of the people at my table were at least halfway done with their meal by the time my food came out, and my soup was tepid. It had obviously been sitting a while. For the cherry on top, the waiter seemed rushed although the restaurant had very few customers between 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., and he came over to our table before everyone was finished eating and said, "I'm not trying to rush all of you or anything, but we have a large party coming in, and we are going to need this table." I was there with my ladies group, and if everyone votes to eat there again, I will pass. Yes, I tipped 18%, but I typically tip 25% for good service. I have worked in food service before, so I know horrible service when I see it. I was a bit nervous about trying this place because of the low rating. We gave it a try because it was close to the hockey rink for my son's next game and they have a large menu selection. The inside was fun, interesting, and perfect for keeping up with Sunday football games. Staff is very friendly. We even had server change due to shift change and all went well. We had fried pickles as an appetizer. They were spears and not chips which we typically don't like but we enjoyed these and finished them all. I had their veggie burger because it had high ratings and it didn't disappoint. Loved it all. Their onion rings are good too. I had their red sangria and enjoyed it. This is our first time at 54th street restaurant and Drafthouse. We went for the Monday night football game around 530. We went for the happy hour and Monday night football game. I wouldn't necessarily call it a sports bar because they didn't have the audio playing (country/throwbacks), but there was still spots to watch the game. Off the happy hour menu, we got the calamari, gringo dip with both chips and waffle fries, fried pickles spears, the fry me some cheese (mozzarella sticks, cheese curds), and the smash burger (a la carte). The chips and dip were pretty standard tasting. Burger was pretty solid. Nice, hot, and juicy. The cheese combo was actually really good. The mozzarella sticks had a slight pepper taste which I loved. We also got cold tall boy modelo, sangria twist, and a tall Michelob. The drinks were good, but I will say that the margarita goblet that the sangria came in was dirty and sticky. Shout out to Keiana, our server! This is their take on queso and let me tell you, these are without a doubt the best waffle fries I've ever had in my entire life. Seasoned well and cooked to perfection, crispy exterior and soft potato center. Also tried the tater kegs and fried pickles and both were solid, props for pickle spears instead of chips.
