The food was spectacular, we got mostly burgers at our table but I got a salad with Ahi Tuna added! I was so excited to see Ahi Tuna on the menu because it's one of my favorite types of meat. The service was fast - and she was very diligent! Do yourself a favor and go out the side door by the entrance to see the views from the patio. Absolutely beautiful! What a cool vibe Troys is. We've been to TxLive numerous times but always sit in the big area. We tried Troy's before the concert this weekend and absolutely loved it! Service, awesome! Bar, awesome! Cover charge to eat breakfast? To be in such a prominent location, the fees sure could have been more transparent. Not happy with the condescending security people either. We arrived at 1:17, apparently the cover charge began at 1pm. Sure was not a good look for a 1st time customer. read more

The waiter was nice and we got seated right away but that was about the best of it. Food was meh and weird that they wouldn't give out a drink menu because it was an "event night" but the football game was over at 3 and this was like 5pm. Very small selection of food. Seats and tables were very worn, they were trying to fix one table while we were there, and our seat had a definite, hard dent in it. Was disappointed overall. We had been trying to come to this restaurant for a while now & today we finally were able to. The atmosphere is nice & chill. Is more of a hang out place. The food was delicious. I'm not really into thick patties but the one I got was really yummy! My Margarita was sweet & sour but just right! The avocado dip was delicious as well. Our server was extra attentive & so nice. Recently in town for business and staying at the next door Loews property and one night we all wandered over to Live!...and the night happened to be game 7 of the ALCS, so as you can imagine the place was packed! While Live! was jammed and all tables were full, Troy's had yet to fill up and our table of 8 was sat fairly easily. While our server was friendly and helpful, along with the food runner/busser...the host's need some hospitality training as they were not very pleasant and it almost seemed like we were bugging them by dining at Troy's. Luckily that energy did not bleed over to the other staff, but definitely something to note. Drink wise, Troy's offers a full bar which we took full advantage of by ordering a variety of cocktails and beers, all of which were delightful. While the bar has countless options, the food menu is a bit more limited with a main focus being on burgers. There are just about as many appetizers as burgers and a few salads, but overall...you are here for the meat. We kicked off our meal with a giant pretzel, spinach artichoke dip, cauliflower wings and edamame. All were quite tasty with the exception of the edamame, but I guess that is what we get for ordering that at a burger spot in a massive sports complex...now we know! For my dinner, I bypassed a burger and got an order of the boneless wings with a side of sweet potato fries. They only offer two sauces for the wings and I opted for buffalo. The fries were decent, a little droopy, but salted well. My peers who got burgers had mixed reactions from excellent to OK, with no one having major issues. Overall, Troy's was a strong 3.5 for me and since I can't split a star, I tossed the half in for good measure. Will we run back to Troy's on our next visit to Live!, probably not, but we also wouldn't avoid it. read more

We drove to Arlington to attend the Rangers game and while waiting for the doors to open went to Texas Live! to eat. We arrived at 5pm (ish) and anticipated going into the gates early for the bobble head giveaway. Our hope was to eat at Shift 4 as we'd eaten there before and had super fast service with great food. Unfortunately, 13 other people had the same idea and we had no idea of how long the wait would be. We saw Troy's and decided it was a great opportunity to try something new and hoped we could get in and out. To our happy surprise, there was no wait and we were seated immediately. However, that's when everything slowwwwwed down. Between the lengthy delay for food to arrive, requesting items and never receiving them, and the food being just ok - I don't know if I'd return. It wasn't horrible but it was very, very slow service and delayed our entry to the game which cost us an opportunity to receive the bobble head my kiddos really wanted. So, I'll give it 2 stars although the only good thing that occurred was there was zero wait. I'm not sure if there is a reason for the no wait when everywhere else was packed. After we ordered, we got the text that Shift 4 had our table ready. I wish we had just waited. It would have been much faster, definitely tastier, better service, and we most likely would have made gate opening. Next time! The ambience was relaxed and chill. It might be ok to come for drinks, appetizers, and watch a game. Just don't be in a hurry whatsoever. read more

Overwhelming evening for the staff. Server was rude. We wanted to eat at the island bar but the server forced us to the bar. The bartender said we could not eat at that island area and we had to be seated. The bald manager said we had to sit in the dining area to eat. We left as did 5 other couples after he said that. Amateur manager. Thank goodness they had the volume of people because of the college game. That manager or policy would not fly in any other restaurant. read more

The manager reached out and apologized for the signage not being clear. She said she would address it with the marketing group. The acknowledgment and response was appreciated. We stopped in again the next day before a concert and chatted with her and had a drink. Beer was cold. We didn't have any good. Atmosphere is nice. read more

I would give this place 0 stars After waiting in line for 10 minutes at the bar, the bartender starts helping people who had just walked up and bypassed the line. The other bartender, was too busy flirting with the group of guys to help people waiting in line as well. So we just left without getting anything 0/10 recommend this place, go to a local dive bar for better service read more

This place has amazing food, a variety of drinks and live music. One of the best parts are the service we revived from Junior, he seated us and was very hospitable. Unfortunately they ran out of Pretzels so my husband and I had spinach artichoke dip with warm pita bread and chips which was delicious. You have the option to dine inside or out. There was a live band that you can see from inside or out, an outdoor bar and large TV screen to view the games. Giving 5 Stars for the eight beer by Troy Aikman. Flew in from Vegas for the weekend for my moms birthday and had to try it before I left. And it did not disappoint. I'd have to say it is the best light beer Ive ever tried. The live band was good. Didn't get to try the food since I was only there for the beer. Another great find thanks to my work travel. First this is a great place to host an event, tons of TV, bar has great local beers and the staff is great to work with. Now the food, I highly recommend the Texas Heat Burger, the jalapeños, crispy onions and all the sauces are satisfying but not overwhelming. The sweet potato fries are to die for and the spicy house ketchup should be bottled and sold. Will def be back. read more

It's good sports bar. A great place to sit and watch a game. Good burgers and even a kids menu. I liked my frito pie burger just wpuldnt order it again. I think a regular burger would have been better for me this night. My kids got a kids burger, which was huge, and chicken strips. Those were grilled. My husband got the wings and they did not come sauced. Or dipped in the sauce. The sauce came on the side. Odd for wings in my mind. Good wings but not something again to order again. I don't know if we'd come back. I think we will try other places in Lowe's live first. read more

Food was good. Service was subpar... that's being generous. Restaurant was not busy at all. Maybe three other tables and six servers. Waitress hid in the back almost the entire time we were there. We had to ask other staff for condiments and water. Live music was definitely not our style. Too loud and off key. We would have preferred a radio. We may go back. However, if service is not much better they won't get our business in the future. read more

Can I give this place zero stars. They have a large outdoor area and a small indoor area for seating with two large bars, but you can't order any food unless you have reserved a table! They charged us $20 to get in and we can't even order chips to go with our drink. Never again! read more

I have been waiting to eat here and it did not disappoint. Great Burgers that are reasonably priced. The burgers were great and I really loved the buns. The waffle fries are honestly amazing! They are so crispy it's almost like a potato chip on the outside but soft on the inside. I recommend dipping in ranch. The poke Nachos were super good. I wish they gave more chips because they give a lot of the poke guacamole dip. It comes with loads of poke! The Brussel sprouts are solid but at a $5 price point they get pushed up to really good. The signature 8 beer is really good. Being German I consider myself knowledgeable and this was a light beer but it had a really full body with no lingering aftertaste that so many light beers have. Just a little pricey I thought I was at the ball park for the price. Can I suggest $8? Lol the staff was really friendly and the venue is pretty cool. Everything was going well until my daughter asked for a to-go container for a slice of pie. After that, the manager, Joe, walked up to our table of eight adults and two children and literally rolled his eyes and stared us down for what felt like 10-15 minutes. I would normally give courtesy to our waiter, but instead of helping, he sat there with the manager talking negatively while we were still dining. I can't even remember his name, but he appeared very unkempt. Meanwhile, the table next to us had two girls dining, and he continuously checked on them asking if they were ready to go or needed anything else before leaving. We arrived around 1 PM and by 2 PM we were already getting death stares from management, as if we had overstayed our welcome. We were not even there for two full hours, yet the entire experience felt rushed and uncomfortable. On top of a $513 bill, we still left an $80 tip, only to feel stared down over asking for one small to-go box for pie. Also worth mentioning: there are only TWO bathroom stalls while they are serving what looked like well over 150 people during brunch service, so the wait for the restroom alone was ridiculous. The food was still good, but the hospitality completely changed my opinion of this place. Prices went up, service went down, and the atmosphere felt very unwelcoming compared to Easter brunch. I'll gladly take my money back to downtown Dallas restaurants instead.
