My wife and I were meeting friends of ours for brunch, and they suggested The Mill. I hopped right onto the suggestion since we hadn't been there before. Our friends said you're in for a treat then, The Mill is FANTASTIC with delicious menu entrees. Fortunately, our friends had made reservations since the restaurant was hopping. My wife and I had also taken a peek at the menu before our visit, so we both had an idea of what we were going to order. It was SO wonderful to see our dear friends. Gracie, our gracious and ever-smiling server during our visit, asked if we had any questions about any of the items on the menu. We told her no, and asked if I could order one of everything. My wife shot that down immediately! I ordered a spiced brown sugar latte to start with. My wife decided on the "Berry French Toast." She's never met a French Toast she didn't like. I ordered the "Bacado Omelette" (bacon, cheese, avocado, and mushrooms) with a side of cheese grits. Our friends ordered a breakfast burrito and avocado toast. The Mill is beautifully decorated and has an incredible staff. Everyone there was SO friendly. While we waited for our brunch entrees, we had such a great time catching up. It was so wonderful seeing our dear friends. I kept sipping on my spiced brown sugar latte, yummy! Just like magic, Gracie appeared at our table with a tray full of deliciousness! Everything looked phenomenal. There was a fresh flower on each of the platters! What a beautiful touch! The platters were picture perfect, and the entrees were even better. My wife had a huge smile on her face. She was in heaven. My omelet was incredible, but the star of my platter was The Mill's Cheese Grits. In our household, cheese grits were a staple, especially at our backyard barbecues. I thought my mom made the best cheese grits, but these had her beat hands down. I almost ordered another side of them. A sincere thank you goes out to The Mill's staff, kitchn, and front end, and Gracie, our incredible server during our brunch gathering. Make sure if you come during the weekend to put your party on the waitlist on Google. That definitely helped plan my time to come! It was very busy during brunch hour but we got seated fairly quickly. I started off with a pineapple mimosa which I wasn't a fan of. The mango mimosa definitely made up for it! For my entree I got the breakfast combo. It comes with your choice of eggs, sausage or bacon, cheese grits or potatoes, and pancakes. I decided to sub the pancakes for a waffle instead. FYI. $7 to sub out. I did enjoy my meal, except I wasn't a fan of their version of cheese grits. It didn't even really taste like grits to be honest. Heard about the frozen peach Bellini and had to try it so Brunch date with my friend. The wait was about 30 minutes which worked as I waited for her to arrive. Once seated the waitress came for my drink order right away and I ordered the peach Bellini regular without the added liquo. I ordered the breakfast combo of 2 pancakes, eggs, potatoes and chicken sausage (first time trying and wasn't too bad, had a nice snap to the skin since they fry it and a slight sweetness). I'm a breakfast potato girl and was a little disappointed it didn't come with onions and peppers and lacked seasoning. It's was just fried potatoes. My friend ordered the spiced brown sugar latte but they were out so she opted for the butter pecan latte instead ranch skillet and kale salad and a pancake. Visited relatives in Texas and we met up here for lunch. The restaurant is spacious with a nice layout. It wasn't super busy on a weekday. The staff were friendly and accommodating with our large party. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Southwest Chicken salad. It tasted fresh and delicious with a nice variety of ingredients. Went to brunch with a friend and tried a new place to both of us, The Mill. Very clean place, love the rustic/farmhouse decor. We are new to the area and are trying various breakfast and brunch restaurants and today was our chance to try the mill Four of us came here on a Friday morning around 9 am and there was no weight for a table. The host was pleasant as was our server. Water came right away, and menus were already on the table It didn't take us too long to make up our minds on food, our server reappeared, and we ordered as follows: - Lemon blueberry pancakes - French toast child's version - Corned beef, hash potato skillet with poached eggs plus sourdough toast - Single lemon, blueberry pancake My wife and I split the skillet the toast and the single pancake. The poached egg ordered poached medium was slightly overdone yet still tasty. We really enjoyed the rest of the skillet as well and our dessert was the single lemon blueberry cake very tasty and sweet and we didn't even need syrup on it. One of our friends had the lemon blueberry, pancake breakfast and enjoyed it. The other friend had the children's French toast and enjoyed it as well. Stopped by The Mill for brunch and it was a 30 min wait on a Sunday. We ordered a traditional breakfast and a burger along with a mimosa flight. I think price point is a little higher than I was expecting BUT the food is delicious and our server Amber was amazing, so it was worth it. The place is well decorated and the plates are instagram worthy. My only thumbs down for the establishment is that there's only one restroom (one for men and one for women) instead of having stalls, so the two times I got up to go to the restroom, there was a line for the ladies room. I went back to my seat the first time and waited around the second time. Other than that, I loved it. Amber let us stay so we can finish up our mimosa flight after we already paid the bill. *Let me preface this by saying, love fresh food and options but portion sizes need to match the price* Went for a girls brunch and the location was bright, open, and the service efficient. The menu was simple and straight forward which I appreciate. For a yogurt with fruit and an order of French toast I paid $24 without tip. The yogurt was nothing special and the fruit was what I can get at the store. The French toast was soggy and didn't seem cook all the way. There are no tea options but biglow which is a low budget tea for a place big on fresh and farm to table. Loose leaf tea or a better brand could have been offered for the price of $4 for tea. My girlfriend ordered a skillet no cheese and when that was brought to the waiters attention the response was it already comes in the skillet. So... that's not fresh or from scratch . Hmmm.. would I go back probably not. The sizes were not justified by the price. The options for teas were sad. I just ate here 6 days ago, and had a great tasty meal and had wonderful service. I left full and content. I'm calling BS on the owners. I ordered the Sausage, Biscuits, and Gravey again. Only to received 1 bisqut cut in half. I informed my waitress I only received 1 bisqut. She then informed my the menue was changed yesterday. This doesn't work for me because I'm big guy was hungry. First timer, met a friend for brunch/lunch and boy what a meal! Walked into a warm friendly atmosphere, with a small bar tucked away in the corner, and we were seated in a comfortable booth. The ranch hand was very bland and only had about 6 pieces of brisket. When you pay these prices for breakfast you really anticipate it to be loaded with meat and flavor. The service was great. The Mill is a cute brunch spot a local had recommeneded to me during my time in Mansfield. The ambiance is clean, spacious, with elegant earthy decor. We ordered "The Farm Boy" and "Mi Amigo" skillets. I had "The Farm Boy" which was a good serving of 2 eggs, chopped ham, bacon, and sausage with a mix of grilled onions and skillet potatoes. I paired Tabasco sauce with the tomato salsa that was provided with the dish. I chose a side of mixed greens as subbing for a fruit cup was +$2. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty. Our waitress was nice, but I could tell she didnt really want to be there. I never got my glass refilled with water, and she mixed up the tabs when paying out. I ended up paying someone's slightly more expensive tab, and she just said "Oh, well she owes you a few dollars then." Let me first say how refreshing it is to have a farm to table breakfast/brunch spot in Mansfield. I'm not sure how long it's been open but I'm happy it's here. We had a rough moment when I asked if I could sit outside, since there was a waiting list for inside. We were the first ones in sitting outside and it seems they were not quite ready for patio service. It took a bit for them to send a waitress and to bring menus. Once they fixed it, everything was amazing, and other groups were sitting outside as well. I loved the mimosas, the orchids plate decoration, cappuccino was delicious, and my breakfast dish so good!! Well, I can first say that my three stars is generous. The Mill for brunch left me feeling empty. First we walk in, party of three around 1p. They are not packed and have several tables visibly clear and ready to be seated. We wait 30 minutes to be seated in one of the empty tables that we had noticed near the front when we first arrived. Orders taken and 2/3 delivered about 20 minutes later. My food was not very hot, and neither was husband's. Two of the orders came out and the third one took another 10 minutes. We didn't have silverware and we had to flag down someone before my husband got up and went to the hostess. At least our third party had a fork by the time her food arrived. Drinks were not refilled and we were not checked on. Overall we all just picked at the room temp plates, and paid $60+ check before tip without taking any leftovers. The dining area is nice and I liked the casual, clean ambiance and the available selections on the menu. Unfortunately, between the cold food and the less than mediocre service, I'll probably drive a little further for a good hot meal with some friendly faces. read more
