UPDATE: I posted another pic of the metal now that it is trimmed and safe to drive. It literally took him 15 mins to do. My mechanic was astounded that a reputable business would allow a car to leave their bay like this. He was really shocked. This is now a safety concern. Something really bad could have happened. If Boomer wasn't up to this job they should have put the old tires on and told me. Absolutely shocking! Do not bring your vehicle here! UPDATE: I posted a pic of how they left the tires. Its rubbing terribly on both sides. They ended up not trimming anything. Bringing to my tire guy tomorrow so he can trim it up. Tire guy saw pic and said they "failed". Awful! My tires are getting beat up already and they are brand new. Lowered review to one star! Shame! REVIEW: Decent work, won't be a return customer. I moved to this area two years ago and I have 4 cars, each of which I am constantly modding and customizing. Was very excited about this place because I am looking for a steady shop to bring all my toys. Decided to bring my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a lift and some tint work. I bought a Rough Country lift and Boomer is a Rough Country licensed installer. It took about two weeks for an appointment, but ok, let's deal with it. The entire process to get this lift kit on took close to four days, after the manager said it should take 1 day, maybe keep it overnight. Luckily I have other cars to use, but what if this was my main vehicle? They also forgot to inform the tire shop they use that they needed to mount and balance my tires, even though I told the manager on the phone I was bringing my own tires. This delayed the process even more. They seemed to have a lot of issues getting the lift kit on and the tires on. Seems odd for a "licensed" Rough Country dealer to have so many issues with one of it's own products. They also ordered shocks but later they found out they weren't compatible. Forgot to install my brake caliper covers. Did not balance tire pressure in all tires evenly. Charged me full hour of labor to pop on a new honeycomb grille, which takes about 20 mins according to most YouTube videos and I actually did myself on my BMW M4. The communication from the shop was sub-par. I had to reach out to them several times to see what was going on and each time we spoke the manager had a negative outlook on the situation. The kept mentioning how busy they were...well maybe don't book so many appointments or plan enough time for the job I am paying you for. In the end, I feel like they kinda gave up on my project. The manager said he had "spent alot of time on the jeep and had other jobs to do." I felt that was odd and depressing, especially when you are spending a lot of money. They stated this is what happens when you bring in your "own stuff", not sure what this really meant b/c it was the lift kit Rough Country told me to use and my tire guy called Rough Country as well to verify what tires/wheels were compatible. When he told me the total price for the build, I asked if it was possible to knock a $100 off the bill because it went way over estimated build-out time. Manager said "No". The tint part of the project did come out nice, but it was more than I paid at Tint World for a similar job. I'd say these guy most likely specialize in smaller jobs and audio projects. If you have a big project or something 4x4 related, I would steer clear. In the end, I would give them a C+ overall rating. I feel they overcharged me by about $300 and cost me a day of time. If they would have simply called me and said "Hey man, we've had some issues we will throw in the window tint for free" or something similar, I would have probably gave them another shot. Instead, they tried to shift the blame to me and ended up tapping out on the build. Technical expertise will never outweigh the need for good customer service and a positive attitude. As it currently stands, I will be bringing my future business somewhere else. read more

Horrible Experience for my part. When I went in to setup the appointment that was fine and normal. However, dealing with the owner on the day of my appointment was not a good experience to say the least. I had an older Porsche Cayenne and all the had to do was install a rear camera. My appointment was set to 4pm and was to take only 2 hrs if that. I left at almost 9pm with a horrible job done( apparently they did not start on my car until closeto 7pm), and I had to repair what they did. Although the price was a fair price which was fine with me, they told me that apparently, there were other more important clients/cars that needed to be done before me, and he was completely unapologetic. You get what you pay for - They are the best! Long time customer and they have done some pretty wired stuff for me like adding blue tooth to my 2004 Saab convertible. If you know Saab - nothing is simple! Yesterday the added heated seats to my 2019 Ford F150 and a front camera. They added a camera hidden in the Ford logo and then added heated seats with a dimmer in the dash rather than just a toggle switch on the seat. You get what you pay for at Boomer. read more

So after my last great review I went to Boomers to have them check out my audio system in my Audi. Going in I told them I was pretty sure it was the amp so they did a diagnostic ($35) to tell me something I knew. Ok confirmed they then told me my best option was to buy a new OEM Bose amp on eBay and they would install it, for THREE HUNDRED Dollars. That afternoon I had to go by my mechanic's (The Workshop in Lowell) and mentioned the quote in passing. My mechanic without missing a beat said they would do it for $35. Sold, brought it to The Workshop today amp installed (10 minutes, no lie). I ttry to shop at small local businesses as much as possible but hey Boomer stop trying to rip people off. I guess they have to overcharge to pay for their new digs. Never again will I recommend or go to your store, I am so over you. So the owner just called me and left a message whining and asking why I am trying to hurt his business. Just a hint give a fair estimate for the work being done. When I can get work done for $35 that your trying to charge me $300 I have a problem with that and am going to post my experience. read more

Do NOT go there for a custom installation. I would NEVER recommend Boomer's for audio installation on your vehicle. If your system does not work properly after they install it, you are responsible to pay for the additional labor and parts to get it fixed. Case in point: I bought a brand new 2020 Hyundai and the stock system was horrendous. I called Boomers in Merrimack to get an estimate on speaker replacements. I was quoted @ $1800. I agreed and had them do the installation. About 2 weeks later, I was cleaning my car and when I removed the Weather Tech floor mat, the side panel of my console fell off! After inspecting the panel, I saw that it was glued back into place with a hot glue gun to cover up the damage they caused. I called Jamie (the owner) and they replaced it at no cost. (Well, I would hope it would not cost me anything) So I had to drop my car off again to get my car fixed for an issue they caused. After all this, I was still not excited about the sound of my system, so I inquired about a replacement deck. Because my car was so new there were no replacements that would fit my car. For the next year and a half, I called and texted Jamie at Boomers periodically to see if anything became available but nothing did. He said they could do a custom job and replace the deck but would cost about $2000. I decided this was the only way I could get the sound I was looking for. I made an appointment and left my car there. When I went to pick up my car, my husband noticed one of the back speakers was not working so we had to leave my car there so they could "look into it". The next day they called and said they could not find anything, and the speakers were working properly. I picked up my car and the next day noticed that same speaker had a short because it would work and then it wouldn't. I called Boomers and they said to bring my car back and drop it off and they would investigate it. So, for the 3rd or 4th time, I had to leave my vehicle with them. Fortunately, they did find the reason for the short and fixed it. FINALLY, I had a "working" $4000 system. Or so I thought...... Within days of thinking I finally had an awesome working system in my car, I noticed that when I put my car in reverse, the camera was not working properly. I would see "No Video Signal" when putting my car in reverse. Again, this happened sporadically so when I called them about it and was told to bring my car back to them AGAIN, it did not do what I was experiencing so nothing was done at that time. Another wasted drive to Boomers. When it happened again, I took a video and picture of it so I could show them what I was seeing. Also, at one point, the backup camera was on when I was driving down the road from work until I got home and shut off my car. I showed them the video and AGAIN, I had to bring my car back to them. They could not find the reason so therefore they could do nothing about it. Keep in mind, this was a sporadic issue. It would work fine, then not work. My camera had absolutely NO issues before they replaced my deck. At this point, I was so frustrated I just stopped calling them because I figured nothing would be done. Months later, I noticed this issue was happening more frequently so my husband called Jamie, the owner, and was told that I would need a new camera installed and they could do it for $275!!!!!! (that's supposedly "half" the cost of what it would be. Jamie had "graciously" offered to pay for half and I should have been grateful for that offer.. ) Are you flipping kidding me?!? Jamie also told me how they had already spent 6 hours on my car for these "issues" I was having that we didn't pay for! Apparently, we are responsible to pay for all labor and parts needed to fix issues they cause. Follow up: I spoke with Jamie, and apparently because it was a "custom" job, there is no guarantee everything will work properly. If there are issues, the customer is responsible for the additional costs to get your system to work. I was never told this was the case and it is not on anything paperwork I signed. If I was, I would not have proceeded. Another update: I put in a complaint with the BBB and of course there is no response from Boomers. Sad they can't even have the galls to respond back. read more

This is in fact my second review for the team here at Boomer Nashua. Although I didn't think I could top my last review, the end product the team pushed out for me this time around drives me to express my gratitude and appreciation for their work once again and with much more Umph! Roughly 10 months ago I was thoroughly impressed by a BMW 650i Individual that had been so beautifully modified while on display at Bimmerfest East 2016. It was just shy of a month later that I connected with the owner of the vehicle on FB only to find out that the car was an in-house modified product. Jamie, owner/operator of Boomer Nashua, introduced me to his business and it was a pleasure to review the jobs they had done and see the passion in their work. After connecting we decided to start "small" and expand on the capabilities of the stock stereo in my X5. The results were huge and my first review shows how it surpassed my expectations. No matter what the conversations were during this time, the undertone of them was around my 2003 BMW M3 Convertible. Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you how I love to do my own work. I can't lie when I say a lot of "Blood, sweat, and tears" have gone into this vehicle from me. Like anything else though there comes a time when tasks and jobs surpass your skillset and the things people can do will run circles around you (Jaime and I joked about this). When you are a person like me who doesn't let ANYONE touch me car, you know that it's in the right hands when you trailer it from New Jersey to New Hampshire and into the hands of the Boomer team. With a budget in mind and A LOT of areas to be addressed (Interior, Full Stereo, Air bag Suspension, and painting my Hardtop, etc.), the team took a list, a blank canvas, went to work, and produced an end product that just completely blew me away. Interior - I am one of the unlucky E46 owners that had the undesirable light gray interior. I have it in the M and had it in my 330ci for 15 years. The costs to swap/dye the dash, console, and convertible top cover panel would blow the budget, the team knew this and solved this by refreshing the seats in the same color complete with M color stitching. They stripped the interior trim from the scratched and faded Titan Shadow and wrapped it all in brushed nickel. To match my black alcantara steering wheel, they reupholstered all the arm pads in the same black to match. To finish the job the center dash vents were removed to allow for more real-estate for the Kenwood double din radio, boost and volt gauges, and controls for the Air Lift setup. The end product floored me and it is almost a sin to even have a hardtop on now (which was color matched PERFECTLY by them). The interior is incredible and although Light Gray is still part of the scheme...they gave it new life and I absolutely love it. The Stereo and Airbag setup - Staged beautifully with two polished compressors and tank, mounted to an in-house machined frame powder coated in the same color as my wheels (illusion blueberry). For a trunk that is victim to no spare tire well and convertible top compartment, they made it all fit (not wedged), but FIT so nicely. The floor of the trunk is complimented with two JL Audio 10" subwoofers, two JL Audio amps (running the subs and Focal Flax components in the cabin), Air Lift Performance 3H/P manifold dressed up with a machined Boomer logo, and all the blue LED lighting to show it off. The focal point also includes a nicely integrated BMW roundel. Guess what...I still have a trunk too...unbelievable. The Suspension - Well, Airlift Performance is no joke and the car rides like a dream. The presets allow me to run setups for different wheels and the height sensors ensure my vehicle is at the right height and stance at all times...all by itself. I think I spoke enough on how they look above, lol. The car sits and rides like you wouldn't believe. To compliment the strut towers the team also power coated my strut brace as well to match my wheels. All in all the car has just really come together so well. It is 5 years in the works this coming October and when I tell you it needed to be rescued it made the challenge all that more enticing. I've taken this car from such a poor state and given it new life. Jaime, Ryan, and the Boomer team completely took it to the next level. I want to thank my friends at Boomer Nashua - Jaime with the vision and owning one of the finest shops I have ever seen and worked with. Ryan for transforming their vision and handling every aspect of my car with care and applying such fine fabrication work. The gold standard for car electronics installation in the area. I'm not a big audiophile or have a tricked-out car or anything - but over the past 10 years they have been my go-to place for any kind of stuff like power outlets, USB outlets, audio jacks, iPod audio connections, remote starters, etc. For labor, I have always found pricing to be very up-front and straight-forward. Their attitude is that they have a standard price for a job - some cars take longer - some are shorter - but your never surprised by your car needing tons of special "unexpected" work. Installations are top-notch. Frankly - even if it's something silly like installing a power outlet - these guys will make it look "factory". They'll hide all the wires - make it all look perfect. Equipment prices are very competitive too. So much so that they have been happy to install stuff bought from them - or somewhere else for the same price. However, their prices are good enough that it's easier to buy through them - and have them install/service/warranty the whole thing. read more

This is the kind of place that you hope to find when you want car audio installed. From the moment I walked in the door, Jamie and his crew were awesome. Held off on answering phone calls to give me plenty of time to answer my questions in store to help me select a receiver. These guys really know their stuff, all hardware comparability, etc. And friendly at the same time! I ended up buying a Kenwood DDX470 in dash receiver for my WRX, and they installed it (faster than estimated) with no issues. One of the guys (didn't catch his name) sat with me before I left and paired my phone, went through all the features, etc. Very nice. A couple days later I had a hardware question so I decided to call Kenwood. Found out I didn't need the cable that comes with the DDX (long story short: the KCA-IP202 cable is for iPhones / iPods / iPads with a 30-pin connector. I have a iPhone 5S, so I had to buy an adaptor. Over the phone, Jamie agreed to replace the adaptor with a lightning to USB (no extra charge), and refunded me the full amount for the unneeded IP202 cable. To clarify: the only reason it was installed in the first place was because Kenwood erroneously told Boomer that it was needed. When I called Jamie and he tested his DDX over the phone, he discovered the error and immediately set up an appointment to replace it. I went back, they swapped my cable (moved it to a new location per my request, too, which was awesome.) completely free of charge, and they were done in minutes. I'll be back to buy an amp this winter. These are the kind of guys you want to do business with. Professional expertise, friendly, and stellar customer service. I have got a lot of stuff from Boomer since moving to Nashua in 2011. They have been with me in good and bad times. I have installed a remote car starter, and they even replaced the keys for me for free when the company recalled it later, I installed an amp, speakers and a sub woofer the next year. This year I got the latest Kenwood Car Stereo from them. Firstly they are very patient, understanding and they will go out of the way until you are totally satisfied in everyday. Imagine - I went through 3 car stereos in 3 days before settling on the final one which was just perfect for me. Most places would not have been as patient as they were. This is the difference between going to a place where they love what they do and passionate about their work Vs going to a Best Buy. Jamie always talked to me with a smile - even on the third time they changed the stereo because I was not totally satisfied. And the prices are very reasonable for the work which has never given me any problems till date. Right now, my car stereo sounds better and more detailed than my Bose home theater! - the detail is astounding, I can hear the fingers slide over the guitar frets and the singer taking a breath while singing and every minute detail, I have not heard on any system I have ever heard - including Bose headphones and Bose Acoustimass home theater. I really like the fact that Boomer is ok to do whatever is necessary until the customer is satisfied. Even if it means setting up stuff three or four times. I like that I can slowly upgrade first to speakers, then amp, then sub woofer, without having to pay everything upfront as one huge job and then spending all the money. I like to install, then hear, then decide whether to do more, or to wait for a while till I want to do more work. And Jamie knows the inside out of the technology. For me, I liked that whatever he mentioned was accurate - if he said that this is the best 1DIN stereo in the world - it really was. If he said this other stereo has the same processor then it really did sound the same/ better. Definitely, trustworthy enough so you can be happy that the job will be done well, and the car will still look and function well even after they do a lot of work on it (like my Toyota highlander hybrid). I don't think there is any other place in Nashua or nearby where you can get such good service for what you are looking for. Highly recommended - I was overjoyed today when I could hear the individual fingers hitting the Tabla (a percussion instrument) in a song - never heard that effect from any recording before - except in a live performance. Did I mention they always have the parts and I have never had to wait ever for any job because they did not have the parts? - they are the only shop in the area like that. read more

There is nobody better when it comes to having car audio, remote starters, or other vehicle electronics installed in your car, RV, truck, or just about anything else in New Hampshire. Had a Viper remote starter installed in my new car here over the weekend, and all of the staff were excellent - clearly explaining my options before I made the appointment, and going over exactly what would be done and how long it would take. The new showroom is comfortable and spacious, with demo units of the speaker systems providing an audiophile experience on their own as you wait. Jamie, the owner, is very involved, and was custom-making a harness for a vehicle owner as he waited, in order to help his installation go more smoothly while his other technicians were working down in the shop. I brought two of my vehicles to Jamie in two days. One was a speaker/amp install the other was due to issues with a remote starter they installed. I was quoted on the phone on two separate occasions that the speaker and amp install was (with everything included) $150. I went in to schedule the appointment for the install and was reminded that it was $150 (everything included). I go to my scheduled appointment everything seems as though it's fine. While at my appointment I'm approached and told of specific wires that are recommended. I nod in agreement not thinking anything of it. When it came time to check out I was informed it was going to be $235. I was astonished! I was ultimately charged an additional $86! My issue is the lack of transparency. Assumptions can never be made. Tell me upfront that it's going to cost me an additional $86 and why. Just because you show me wires doesn't mean I understand that it will cost me additional money. Not to mention they were well aware of the year, make and model of my vehicle. Just tell me upfront so I can make an accurate, appropriate decision. read more

I brought in my Convertible ZL1 Camaro on May 1st for a full audio setup. My original purchase was just a JL audio stealth box, JL amp and install for $2200. I later called and upgraded to a 5 channel amp and all JL audio speakers. The tech at Boomers recommended a Mosconi DSP to clean up the signals from the stock head unit which at first I said no. The next day I called back and agreed to the install with 3 hours of tuning at an additional $540. I picked up the car on May 4th and paid $4800 for the full setup. It was certainly pricey but wanted a quality install. Upon pickup the owner, Jaime, came and sat in my car to hear the setup. The first thing I said was "I'm not impressed and doesn't sound like a $5000 system". The owner told me "there's a break in period for the speakers". I got home after turning up the volume to only hear popping and distortion from the stealth box. I returned on May 6th to demonstrate the poor audio quality of the install. The first employee came out to hear it and first said" sounds like it's being overdriven and will need to be de tuned after spending $540 for tuning!! They brought it into the bay and found the stock unit is putting out a poor quality signal and found it in less than an hour! Boomers recommended to remove the DSP and install a Kenwood receiver and commented "we've never done a setup like this on a factory unit and unfortunately the system sounds like a $800 setup". They were willing to rectify the issue and still charge me half of the labor of installing the DSP which wasn't needed but installed by their recommendation. I'm now being asked to spend another $99.99 in the difference to give me a setup that sounds like a $5000 setup. I'm disgusted by the fact that they would even allow this poor setup to even leave there shop and were all too happy to take my money knowing full well it sounded like " a $800 system". The owner also mentioned that he was running around and just came back from vacation and didn't oversee the install. I'm waiting to hear back from the owner today, May 7th. Yesterday he mentioned that they are booked out 5 weeks but was trying to get a tech to come in on his day off. I will update after our conversation to see if he stands by his employees obvious mistakes or pass these errors onto the customer. read more

These guys were amazing! Literally saved me. I bought a used jeep from Team Nissan in Manchester and the radio wasn't installed and they promised that it was an expensive radio made for jeep and they would have it in for my trip as I was moving to Florida two days after I bought the car. I picked up the car the night before I was leaving on my 3 Day Dr. only to find out the radio didn't do any of the things promised other than function as a radio. The CarPlay didn't work the back up camera was screwed up I couldn't use my XM my phone couldn't use my Waze directional I was misinformed and deceived by the dealership. Desperately I just called boomers because I've driven by it a few times and is was about an hour and a half before they closed they told me to come in, they weren't going let me go to Florida without a radio that did what it was supposed to do. When I got there they were amazed because it was a very good radio but it was installed poorly. They were busy, no appointment, but they going time. Team Nissan has 2 days and couldn't get it right. An hour and a mere hundred dollars later I had an amazing working radio back up camera and fully functioning CarPlay, the whole enchilada. So don't ever buy a car from Team Nissan But always trust the guys at boomers, can't say enough good things about them read more

I so badly wanted to like Boomer, reviews looked great, shop is nice, etc. But instead I am here angry. I brought my truck in with a radio DIY disaster. They charged me $80 to spend 10 min looking at the car. The day for my appointment came and they called me, left a voicemail and said I needed to come in now (eight hours before my appointment when I am at work and unable to answer the call) or they couldn't get the radio done. I said I couldn't do that, so the next appointment they have available is in 6 days. Now I am down two weeks of my time and $80. If you aren't getting thousands of dollars of work done Boomer will not prioritize you. Will not return, not a happy customer. read more

Place was incredibly busy and the desk staff were sick plus missing key garage staff. Regardless, Boomer staff a friendly and positive attitude and installed my automatic car starter in less time than quoted. Boomer doesn't look like a typical auto shop. High ceilings, beautiful dark "wood" floors, and displays are very neat and organized. As for the waiting area, clean leather couches, high top tables, bathrooms were relatively clean... but could be cleaner. Great jams (and bass), snacks available (chips, candy, etc... all under $1) and drinks (energy drinks, sodas, milk, OJ, water, tea, Gatorade). PLUS love the cat that hangs around the place. I didn't want to leave by the time my automatic starter was installed just 2 hours later. While waiting there, I overheard the owner/manager respond to these customer comments (and I paraphrase): Comment: "I'm impressed, this place is beautiful." Response: "The only reason it's so nice, is because we have awesome customers." Comment: "I don't want to go to Best Buy for an install because I don't trust them." Response: "I wouldn't say they can't do it, they are good at what they do, but perhaps they don't have the attention to detail and warranty that we have."
