I tried doing my own install of a remote starter. After three hours of reviewing instructions, gathering my tools and struggling with the steering wheel cowling, I came to the conclusion that this job would go better if done by a professional. I prefer not to use the dealership (I don't know why; to save money I guess), and I was searching Craigslist to find a local installer. I came across Erik's ad and was immediately impressed. I hadn't seen any of his reviews at the time and I thought this might be expensive, but worth whatever they might charge to get the job done. I replied to the Craigslist posting and got a reply right away. I was given options of dropping my truck off, or he would come to me. HOW EASY IS THAT? Erik's quote was reasonable. I dropped the truck off and he had it done in less than two hours. He said it would have been much sooner but the kit I supplied had been programmed for a different vehicle. Most of his time was spent reprogramming the kit on a PC. The job was perfect. Erik is a gentleman, and very professional. This work was done during the COVID-19 era and I observed him cleaning the work area before and after the install. He was wearing a mask and gloves, and preferred not to shake hands. My wife was with me and she was totally impressed. Needless to say, the job went well. The remote works fine. I found a new "go to guy" and I can highly recommend Granite State Audio. ....not just for the great name, or the location, or the work but because this is ERIK. Along with his superior quality of work, Erik showed off his consultation skills by helping me select the right equipment for my needs. But Granite State Audio is by far one of the best audio technical business that ive dealt with!! Not only was he very patient he has fair pricing( i know because i called around). He installed a car starter in my wifes car, ( it was her birthday gift) he went to her job and did his magic. She is so happy with the starter, u know what they say happy wife happy life. He came to my work so I would not be inconvenienced, he ran into issues he had not seen before and worked on it for 4 hours. Erik really knows his stuff, he worked with me for weeks in advance to give me solid advice on how to upgrade my old BMW Z3 which is not an easy car to replace the stereo in due the outdated sub enclosure design and non standard replacement for the original Harmon Kardom speakers. I would highly recommend Eric to tackle any level of complexity with car audio and electrics. He offered fair and reasonable estimates for deferent types up upgrades and bent over backwards to accommodate my budget. Awesome! Erik can do it all! Someone drilled two holes in my boat before telling me they could not install my fish finder. Then I found Erik online and asked if he could install a fish finder for my boat. We ended up doing a fish finder and a small Bluetooth audio system. I absolutely love it. My wife's radio just stopped working for no apparent reason. I bought the same factory replacement radio from eBay motors. I contacted Eric to install it. He was prompt and very careful when removing the original radio and installing the "new" one. I was a bit nervous about how the dash would look after the job. Erik, communicated well through the whole process. Erik was able to determine one of the channels on the factory amp was causing the speaker to play intermittently. Erik was able to bypass the amp for that speaker, so that the sound is bearable until I am able to return for more permanent repairs. Was very fair in his prices. Considering all the disappointing alternatives I investigated while comparison shopping. Eric at GSA was the only option I had available to get my car stereo installed in a reasonable amount of time.
