My friend and I ordered through Uber eats. She ordered a Jack's sampler and that comes with southwest egg rolls, mozzarella blocks, and boneless wings and she also ordered a side of fries. I ordered the spicy poblano smash burger and also a side of fries. The side of fries cost $3.49 on Uber eats. The sampler my friend got did not have the southwest egg rolls but instead fried pickles. No one at Boomerjack's called to let us know that they were out of the southwest egg rolls and would be substituting. And for the price of the fries we should have gotten more than what we were giving. Seeing how the food was, at around 10 pm 7/23/21, my friend and I had to leave the comfort of our home and drive to Boomerjack's because we were unhappy. We spoke to the manager and he was friendly. We told him what we had ordered and he apologized and said it was the new workers because they had been messing up on orders. He said that they were out of the southwest egg rolls and my friend said someone should have called to let her know and he agreed with that. We said that we wanted our food to be remade because at this point it's cold and not as fresh. The manager said he could not make my burger so my friend asked if she could have an extra side of wings. He left and came back and told us that they were slammed with 10 Uber eats orders. We said ok but we drove all the way to their restaurant so if he could make ours a priority and he said he could not do that. We feel that more could have been done to right their mess up. It just didn't seem like a lot of effort was put into making things right. This whole experience has just left a bad taste in our mouths and we will not be visiting this location. read more

We have been here many times and they are ok. Another bar. The food maybe a little better. Today was the worst. We sat on the patio like we always do and there were about half the tables occupied so nothing real busy. There were 3 servers that were working this area and not one of them came to our table or spoke. One server cleaned both tables beside us and never spoke. Another young lady server 1 table directly across from us and never spoke. After about 15 minutes of being ignored I went inside and let the manager know why we were going next door to the Ice House. He offered some free appetizers but I Said thanks and we went next door. Business must be really good to not care about two people who might spend 50-75$$$ on a Sunday afternoon. read more

Got recommended this place from my Uber driver and was not disappointed! We tried the appetizer and two entrees special for $22. Pretty reasonably priced and it's a step up from traditional bar food. I got a pesto chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and our appetizer was fried pickles. Everything was good and very filling that I saved half for my lunch the next day. As for the dining area it was a great atmosphere with huge TVs and music playing. We sat inside but were offered a spot outside on the patio where they have a nice shaded area with misting fans. This is a great sports bar. It's got sports and it's got a bar - sports bar. Everytime I visit Bedford, I can't remember the difference between Boomerjack's and Bedford Icehouse. They are side by side and pretty similar. I prefer Boomerjack's, I've said it. And when I get confused again, I can refer to this review to remember. Boomerjack's has some really great food. They have your bar staples, but they also have wraps and healthier choices. I like healthy food when I drink gallons of liquid carbs (aka beer). While I'm not writing a sonnet about how much I love their wings, I will recommend this place for a casual lunch while watching a game. read more

Where do you hire your bartenders? Went today. Sat for five mins with only 5 people at the whole bar. The bartender looked right at me, never greeted me or said ill be with you in a min. She cashed out one of the 5, talked to another one, Ate some food that she sat beside her cash register. Avoided me at all cost. This is a generic bar restaurant in the HEB area that serves good food. It's a good spot to come for lunch or dinner and when the weather is accommodating, the patio is the perfect spot to hang out with friends. (I love the cover of trees with twinkle lights) They have great drink specials and the staff is always friendly! I've been to this BoomerJack's many times and have had ok experiences, but on Saturday we came here to watch the big UFC fight and had a terrible experience. For an event like this the establishment should be prepared that they will be completely full most of the night. I got the impression that the staff was not prepared or staffed for hosting an event like this. That is surprising since they are a sports bar and purchasing the fight. We arrived and there were no seats but we put our name on the list. We knew it wasn't likely that anyone was leaving so we went to the patio where it was seat yourself in hopes that someone might leave their table. We eventually got lucky and snagged a table. We were at the table for almost 2 hours. The dirty dishes from the previous customers was never taken away. And when you looked around that was the story on the patio. At one point the bar ran out of glasses and started serving beer out of plastic cups. If someone had come out to the patio to see all the beer glasses stacked on every table then they could have had plenty of glasses. The only thing good about our experience was we saw the fight and there were lots of TVs. I guess since we didn't ever have any service it also saved me some money. I hope in the future for big events like this the staff is prepared and staffed properly. I won't come back here on a fight night that is for sure. read more

I really liked this place especially since it's a sports bar. I found a discount on Groupon and decided to go last night. Atmosphere: the place was crowded especially since it was Friday. We were told you can pick your own seats which was cool with us. They have tv's all over the joint with multiple sports on..the volume was low, but that was cool it was only preseason football. The music was a little loud but I'm sure it wouldn't be on during a actual game. Staff: our waitress was one of the best..she was always around and very helpful. The staff speaks in passing, we also had other staff help with anything that we needed while our waitress was away. I noticed management was around and asking if everything was ok, they were always present to make sure everybody was doing ok. Food: I had to get me a burger, especially since I was at a sports bar. The burger was good no complaints from me. The menu was varied though not just typical sports bar items. I noticed they had catfish, quesadilla's, nachos all kind of different foods. Always love Boomerjacks! Loved the Central location years ago. I just moved back to the area and looking to Pick up where I left off. Fossil Creek is awesome! This one has little to no parking options and AppleBees takes up all the parking. There's a parking lot monitor that ensures AppleBees gets all the parking.! Wanted to eat at Boomerjacks but no parking so I parked in applebees parking and ate there. There was absolutely no one in that restaurant. Talked to the Manager at Boomerjacks Tommy and he said they were in litigation about the parking. My family and I ate here for the first time today and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was relaxing, yet active and fun. There were lots of tv screens to watch. The menu had plenty of variety. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices were average. There was just a hint of tobacco and I think it was coming from an area of the bar behind a glass partition that did not completely enclose the area. Food was promptly served and was hot. It was enjoyed by all of my family. I had fish and sweet potato fries. The fries had a coating of cinnamon and sugar. My wife had a turkey with Swiss sandwich on a pretzel roll. It was such a generous portion she could not finish it. She substituted cheddar jalapeño mashed potatoes for the fries and they were excellent. My daughter had the cheese sticks off of the appetizer menu. She also was happy with her choice. She finished it off with a delicious banana pudding for dessert. Overall this was a winner. They wouldn't serve us because our 36 year old friends license was expired and due to COVID-19 the law states that your license is still valid for another 60 days after the disaster period because of COVID-19. There is legally a 60 day grace period after the states disaster period. But yet not only did they not serve us but they decided to follow us to Ice house and tell the server not to serve us because they wouldn't serve my one friend due to her license being expired. AFTER they wasted our time trying to take our order at ice house and then telling us the situation.... if TABC in on your ass that bad then maybe you should do business.
