Went for their soft reopening on a Friday at 6pm in August. What an amazing treat! If you are a tiki enthusiast or appreciate vintage nostalgia this is the place. So much great decor and great drinks. Staff was amazing. Everyone from Elle greeting us upon arrival, the security guard, to the bartenders and even spoke with a manager there who gave us a brief history tour, everyone was so awesome!! Really bummed we forgot almost every single name, but hey I blame the alcohol. :) Even got take a peek inside Clifton's since we had never been there before. I really hope this entire place comes back to its full glory. Although I'm not a fan of crowds, this may have been the best way to experience the place before the crowds come back. Either way I'm glad I got to come during the soft reopening. Thanks Pacific Seas!!

For me, this is as close to the perfect tiki bar there is in Socal. From the secret door entrance and decor. To the drinks, food, service and entertainment. Unfortunately, they still aren't open often enough for my druthers and the bathrooms are way too dark.

This is a cool tiki bar, but the inconvenience of going through Clifton (the waits at the Clifton entrance AND Pacific Seas entrance once inside, as well as the $20 cover charge on a Saturday) in order to get to this bar and lounge on the 4th floor, along with the overpriced drinks inside Clifton, take away from the overall experience and make it far less appealing. That being said, visiting Clifton for the first time was kind of cool (exploring the quirky and mysterious decor and props, a maze of displays floor after floor), but yeah, lots of waiting here, club atmosphere with LA vibes... not my cup of tea... nice to have experienced it once though.  Pacific Seas on its own has a pretty great setup, diverse seating options, plenty of space (as they limit the number of people just on that floor), beautiful lighting and unique themed decor, even a boat right in the middle. Note, there are a lot of stairs here, and a lot of standing/waiting (for sure on the weekends, don't know about other days).

The drinks were tasty. We loved the decor, music and overall vibe of PS and Clifton's in general. Our table was ready at our reservation time and we were not rushed out. Drinks are a little pricey, but they're well crafted. Looking forward to going back and enjoying other parts of Clifton's!

We enjoyed our visit to Pacific Seas immensely. The decor and ambience is exceptional. The appetizers we tried were delicious-pork skewers, corn fritters, edamame and French fries. The corn fritters and fries were outstanding. The mai tai's were strong with a good flavor. We were there early on the first night of food service. The staff was friendly and working hard to please. We will definitely return especially as other rooms open.

I've been hearing about Pacific Seas since it's opening and on speakeasy lists as well. As a fan of Clifton's, I had been meaning to go for months and finally had the opportunity one Saturday night after dinner for a nightcap. Upon entering Clifton's (and missing the cafeteria *wipes tear from eye*), it becomes a "where's Waldo" to find the magic mirror door to find entry! It takes awhile and I refer to my handy Yelp app (*no I don't get commission for the shout out*), but I then find the magic mirror that opens up to a black staircase. And can hear '40s style music echoing from the top of the stairs. At the top, voila! A dimly lit, 1940s' sounding, Pacific vintage (WWII) artifact encompassing tiki bar awaits your presence as you make your way around to the bar to choose your Poison. With the Singapore Sling as my choice, I seated myself in a Cosy corner taking a look at the small food menu (very salty and pricy), while shortly being approached thereafter if I'd like to order anything (I declined). A great, cozy little bar to hang out (with friends) & experience the heart of the vintage vibe DTLA has to offer at its historic theater district on Broadway. I do recommend it, for it's vintage novelty!

Would anyone know how much it would be to book the pacific seas for an event?

Our venue booking rates vary quite a bit based upon date and needs. Please email us at Events@TheNeverlands.com to learn more about all the options! We have events available to suit practically any need.

Is this bar only for 21 and up?

The venue is currently 21 and over from 9pm until closing. Guests with children are welcome to explore before that time-- and the hours are to be expanded into the holiday season!

I've been going to them more and more, and The Lucky Tiki was one I definitely had to try out. First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. Was the perfect spot for a lively date night!

There aren't many tables or bar seats. I've heard the line is frequently out the door, and if you want seating it's best to line up before they open. They do not take reservations. We came in on a whim around 9PM on a Friday night. The bar was packed, but thankfully there wasn't a line out the door. After heading in we found a sliver of standing room in a corner to order a couple drinks. After about twenty minutes a couple at the bar left and we were able to snag some chairs. The atmosphere and ambience is decent. There are neat decorations and trinkets everywhere. The music was a playlist of random music which isn't really my thing. There were two bartenders working who were friendly and prompt. The price point is fine around $15 per drink. I was very underwhelmed by their rum and cocktail program, though. I suppose given the history and hype of the bar I was expecting much more. They don't use fresh juices, everything is from bottles and cans (think Tropicana), their garnishes are all the same and taste a little off (maybe they're assembled way ahead of time and taste old?), and their rum selection is alright depending on the cocktail you order, but can also be lackluster, too. Overall, it was cool to finally check out Tiki Ti, but it was a one-and-done for me.

It takes place mostly in their rear patio area and parking lot, but a good number of vendors were also in an adjacent air conditioned event room. They have a very small parking lot, but it was occupied by vendors during this event. Do not park in the parking lots of the adjacent businesses, as we were warned when entering the Tonga Hut that cars get towed regularly. There's plenty of street parking in the nearby neighborhood. Entering from the rear, there is a good sized covered patio with around eight benches. We went inside to check it out and grab a drink. The interior is fairly small with four good sized booths, a lounge area with a large J-shaped couch with several small tables, and around ten seats at the bar. It is dimly lit with some basic tiki décor, and has an old-school feel. They had a fixed cocktail menu for this event which is understandable. We stood in line at the bar for about ten minutes, got our drinks and went out to the patio. The bartender was friendly, and didn't seem flustered by the high volume of patrons. I had the Horned Beast O' The Celtic Sea (Oceanus Hibernicus Irish Malt, Jamacian Rum, House Made Falernum & Orgeat, Peach, Citrus, Dash of Cherry Heering, $13). She had the Leprechaun Grog (Three Rums, Lime, Grapefruit, Honey, Spice, Soda, $14). Both drinks were good, were served in souvenir plastic cups, and were a bargain at $13 to $14. If you ordered a drink containing Oceanus whiskey, the bartender gave you a gold coin and you could exchange it with the Oceanus representative on the patio for a free T-shirt. Durango Tacos was setup near the rear entrance for food. We had four tacos (two carne asada and two veggie), and they were good and reasonably priced. This was the first tiki marketplace we have attended. There were around twenty vendors with a good assortment of art work, tiki mugs, tiki clothing, tiki décor, and other miscellaneous items. I purchased a few nice tiki shirts which were a steal at $20 and $25. The vendors and visitors were all very friendly and in a festive mood. We hung out for about ninety minutes and had a good time. We will return at some point to try their regular cocktail menu and see what it's like on a non-event night.
