I spoke to Tom Day, Service Department Manager, who promptly sent out Derone (Hope that is spelled correctly) to assess the situation. He was very thorough in his examination of the problem. When Tom arrived to verify what Derone had discovered, they both called me to let me know how they would handle the repair and the step involved. VERY Professional assessment and recommendation! I agreed to their recommendation at approx. 2pm and they scheduled me for the following morning. They had a mini excavator delivered, the "call before you dig guys" mark all the underground lines and called me to confirm an 8 am start time, all before end of the evening. Everyone showed up at exactly 8am and began their repairs. Not only were they dead on with their recommendation, they were almost $7,500 LESS than a quote I had received a different plumber that I called before my brother recommended Mission Mechanical. Yes, $7,500 less. I found my new "Go To" company for my HVAC/Plumbing needs. I hired Armor Air to trim and connect the two refrigerant lines and the power snake, run a vacuum check, and charge the system with the correct type and amount of refrigerant. Roberto responded quickly to my Yelp project. He offered a flat $65 service call, which would apply toward the quote if I moved forward--which I appreciated. He was able to come out the next day to look things over and then got the job done the day after that. Both appointments had minor time shifts, but he still came through the same day and communicated well throughout. The work was solid, the price was fair, and by the time they left I was up and running with cold air. Can't ask for much more than that.

The furnace tech diagnosed the furnace as needing at least a new control board and couldn't be sure other parts weren't bad. The furnace was full of ice. Based on the price of the potential repairs, it made more sense to replace the furnace. The installers arrived first thing the next morning and we had heat around lunch time. Everyone from Chapman was clean, courteous and did great work. It wasn't cheap for any of this, but we feel that the prices were reasonable, especially since we were 100% done the very next day.

This time around, I've gotten the chance to try out Chapman to address some electrical issues in the house. Truthfully, I wasn't aware that Chapman handled electrical. I'd begun having some significant electrical issues a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. I called another company that I'd used for a smaller project with good results. They came over and did some minor adjustments, however, they noted there were significant issues and planned to send me an estimate. They did let me know this "fix" was more like a band-aid and the significant work was inevitable. It was less than a day when the "band-aid" stopped working. I waited a bit anticipating their estimate, though also disappointed that they'd done such a weak fix. Finally, things got WAY worse. It was shortly before Thanksgiving and the situation was urgent. I left a message for Chapman anticipating that I was likely out of luck for the holiday weekend. My general sense was that was their plan, too. However, I think the rep (I believe her name was Hannah) heard the panic in my voice and I explained my situation. She arranged for a technician to visit the house the next day. This tech did agree that the issue was serious and warranted a few major repairs. He explained it well and explained my options. To be honest, I'm usually quite cheap. However, when he gave me two options I went with the more expensive option as I really wanted to make sure the fix was done properly. I was tired of band-aids. They used my initial service call as a down payment and the electrician, Rodney as I recall, scheduled it and made sure he would be the electrician for the project (NOTE: In reality, this ended up being a 2-3 person job). The only slight hiccup was that I'd been told they'd arrive at 8am. In reality, I called them at 10am and learned they were having trouble finding one needed part. That was fine, though I should have been called. Around 11:15, and somewhat surprisingly, they arrived and dug in. Seven hours later? They were done. I was particularly touched by a neat gesture - I'm a wheelchair user. In their estimate, the electrician had written that he'd be putting my new panel in at wheelchair height. This wasn't something I asked for particularly, however, it was a pretty cool gesture recognizing my needs. Rodney explained everything and was entirely work focused. He completed the work as promised and the cost was exactly as quoted. He explained a couple other concerns - including one that wouldn't be a Chapman issue, however, he explained how it could impact the electric. I've now had Chapman work on my furnace and my electric. Are they more expensive? Yeah, I'd say so. If you're looking for a budget electrician, Chapman probably isn't that. However, in all three visits the work has been done and done well. They've avoided band-aids and actually fixed issues. Their quotes have been accurate. The employees have been professional. With the exception of today's tardiness, the experiences have all been impeccable. Truthfully, I should have likely called Chapman first. While I may not call them for smaller issues, the truth is for me it's worth a bit more to get the work done right. The work is warrantied and I now have a system that should last for years and is also accessible. That other company? I still don't have their estimate. Chapman wins.

He had me looking all over the house for the main gas line. You would think that a professional would have no problem identifying where the main gas line is located.Finally, he called the Gas Company to report I was not getting gas. The people from Center Point arrived 10 minutes later removed and replaced 1 CSA ball value. Problem solved. No charge. He said I got played by Godby and feel the same way. Paid $185 dollars for nothing. We used Godby for many things in the past but no more thanks to Bill's behavior.

So I asked my parents, without hesitation they say Control Tech. I'd remember seeing them come to my parent's house for regular maintenance. I called and was able to get someone out the next day. Marvin arrived and went to work. He recommended a simple fix by changing the filter that was plugged. He told me a dirty filter restricts air flow, making my unit work harder. He suggested getting on a service plan, which I quickly jumped on since I clearly cant keep up on my filter. Doing that saved me money?!?! He cleaned up the inside, did some other tests and made other suggestions. He recommended getting a quote since the system is over 20 years old and may need some parts in the future. I've got Matt coming out next week for a free estimate. Marvin explained my system to me, and what Matt might suggest for options. Marvin suggested ti me asking about a better filter thing with a new system due to my families allergies. I really appreciate my parents even more on how they took care of us without us even knowing it. And now I can do the same with my family thanks to Control Tech. I appreciate Marvin's time and helping save me money and possibly a headache down the road if and when my furnace died. I'm a Control Tech customer for life like my parents, and recommend Marvin!

When I questioned it, he then said he would go ahead and clean it at no charge, and the process took only a few minutes. When I called afterward to clarify why this happened, I spoke with the owners. Unfortunately, the conversation was difficult -- I felt talked over, and the responses came across as defensive. I did not feel that my concerns about the service or the upsell attempt were listened to or addressed. Based on my experience, I would recommend that others consider this factor when choosing a service provider.

Close inspection was done and followed up by one of their trusted advisors whom we've come to know over the years. Our new system was installed the very next day. The two guys who came out were thorough, neat and complete. One was inside for the breakdown, while his partner was outside preparing for the transition of the unit with removal, new pad and ultimately seating the new unit. They had it all up and running within about 4.5hrs. They cleaned up after themselves, explained everything to me and were on their way. We couldn't be more happier and can tell the difference between the old unit and the new one, complete with a new Ecobee thermostat. First off the sized our furnace too big for our home. They sold us a unit to cool and heat 3000sq feet, and our home is half that size. September was when I started ill with headaches and respiratory issues. I needed a lung biopsy. Biopsy showed no bacterial of fungal infection. Doctor said it was air contaminates causing my breathing problems. That was October. Christmas rolls around and I'm still ill. April we call someone to look at our water heater he informed me their is a gas leak in the basement coming from he HVAC system. I called Mister Quick immediately, Nick informed me that when the HVAC system was installed it was installed improperly. It was leaking gas in 4 different locations from the gas pipe to the furnace. He spent 3 hours repairing the installers mess ups. I immediately started feeling better. The facial swelling and headache went away. 9 days free from a gas leak in my home and I'm feeling much better. My husband said our home could have blown up and that's also what the gas company told me when I reported Mister Quick. I live in Brown County and from now on when we get anything new added to our home we are going with a local company that has our best interest in mind.

I had my new ac/heat pump put in in May, 2020. It is still under warranty and I have had an…read moreongoing service contract with this company even before I had my unit installed. In the past two years I have been "solicited" by every maintenance person to purchase some "expensive" part or unit or service that I do not need. In addition, I sought a second opinion on my heater, and I was informed that I had only 2 screws holding my front unit to the heater left, and there was a part in my heat pump that is ready to burn out. It was a mother board or something like that. I told this to Summers, and no one called me back to talk about the part that was burnt out. Mind you, I have a 10 year warranty. After speaking with CJ, someone came out asap and replaced the mother board, put in the screws and gave me a free year service contract. Now, I also ended up having a whole water filtration system put in. It is time to replace the filter. I called CJ and he had Brady call me. Brady called and told me which filters to get and I asked him to walk me through it. Brady said, why I don't come out and do it for you. I also stated there was a part that was supposed to be replaced in my heat pump that was never completed because they forgot about it. Brady checked it out and "I" told him it was under warranty still. I text him that I got the filters, nothing for 5 days, I text him again, Did you get this, He answers to me "I just saw this, I'm sorry, I can see about tomorrow, I'll have to check my schedule, what is your address again". I told him in a text. He further stated in a text "We won't be able to get out today but I can get u on the scheduled for a day that works for you. We do have a minimum charge of $136.00. But from there, we can show you how to do it and you won't have to pay us again. I send back the next day, Does that include the part for the heater that was never done, CJ knows about this. That was this past Tuesday and it is Sunday, May 10th and no answer back. After this service contract is over and after I contact the office of the CEO, I am THROUGH with this company!!
