The furnace tech diagnosed the furnace as needing at least a new control board and couldn't be sure other parts weren't bad. The furnace was full of ice. Based on the price of the potential repairs, it made more sense to replace the furnace. The installers arrived first thing the next morning and we had heat around lunch time. Everyone from Chapman was clean, courteous and did great work. It wasn't cheap for any of this, but we feel that the prices were reasonable, especially since we were 100% done the very next day.

He had me looking all over the house for the main gas line. You would think that a professional would have no problem identifying where the main gas line is located.Finally, he called the Gas Company to report I was not getting gas. The people from Center Point arrived 10 minutes later removed and replaced 1 CSA ball value. Problem solved. No charge. He said I got played by Godby and feel the same way. Paid $185 dollars for nothing. We used Godby for many things in the past but no more thanks to Bill's behavior.

So I asked my parents, without hesitation they say Control Tech. I'd remember seeing them come to my parent's house for regular maintenance. I called and was able to get someone out the next day. Marvin arrived and went to work. He recommended a simple fix by changing the filter that was plugged. He told me a dirty filter restricts air flow, making my unit work harder. He suggested getting on a service plan, which I quickly jumped on since I clearly cant keep up on my filter. Doing that saved me money?!?! He cleaned up the inside, did some other tests and made other suggestions. He recommended getting a quote since the system is over 20 years old and may need some parts in the future. I've got Matt coming out next week for a free estimate. Marvin explained my system to me, and what Matt might suggest for options. Marvin suggested ti me asking about a better filter thing with a new system due to my families allergies. I really appreciate my parents even more on how they took care of us without us even knowing it. And now I can do the same with my family thanks to Control Tech. I appreciate Marvin's time and helping save me money and possibly a headache down the road if and when my furnace died. I'm a Control Tech customer for life like my parents, and recommend Marvin!

We've been lucky enough to have Darren for most of our visits and he always puts my mind at ease. First off the sized our furnace too big for our home. They sold us a unit to cool and heat 3000sq feet, and our home is half that size. September was when I started ill with headaches and respiratory issues. I needed a lung biopsy. Biopsy showed no bacterial of fungal infection. Doctor said it was air contaminates causing my breathing problems. That was October. Christmas rolls around and I'm still ill. April we call someone to look at our water heater he informed me their is a gas leak in the basement coming from he HVAC system. I called Mister Quick immediately, Nick informed me that when the HVAC system was installed it was installed improperly. It was leaking gas in 4 different locations from the gas pipe to the furnace. He spent 3 hours repairing the installers mess ups. I immediately started feeling better. The facial swelling and headache went away. 9 days free from a gas leak in my home and I'm feeling much better. My husband said our home could have blown up and that's also what the gas company told me when I reported Mister Quick. I live in Brown County and from now on when we get anything new added to our home we are going with a local company that has our best interest in mind.
