At opening day at new location. Venue is 5 star and beer is 5 star as always. However they need to improve the process for getting a beer if you are not at a table. They have s single line with 2 bartenders taking orders. Took 15 mins the first time to get a beer and 20 the second. Hope they figure this out Made a return visit and was hoping they fixed their opening weekend issues. They have NOT. I stood in line for 15 mins to get a beer. They had 2 bartenders serving the walk up line, all the people sitting at the bar, and serving the wait staff. It's a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon, they need 5 people behind the bar. A top attraction in Boone! The beer is incredible and the food an eclectic goodness. And if you are absent minded enough to leave your credit card, they will mail it to you no charge, with a couple cool BB stickers - although I would have much rather gone back to get it but am 400 miles away! We love this place so much. We went to dinner on a Sunday and at first were seated outside. It was pretty cold so we asked to be moved inside if possible. A few tables were in front of us but the host, Matt, was very attentive and got us a spot inside ASAP. Our waitress was helpful with suggestions and all the suggestions ended up being great. I have been trying to come to this restaurant for awhile. It was always a long wait but we made reservations and we were able to get in for dinner. I'm a porter fan and their Molasses Porter was the best beer I've had in a long time. The food was also delicious from the fried chickpeas to wedge salad. We ordered their flat bread of the day and were extremely happy. You can't go wrong with this place. Excellent food and beer combined with exceptional service. Make a reservation and come! read more

Food poisoning. Bad service. Ill prepared staff and kitchen. Rude manager. Went on a holiday weekend with full understanding that it would be busy. Even called the day before we planned to visit to confirm they were doing call ahead seating that weekend. Day of visit we called ahead 30 minutes prior to showing up as we were told to do and were given a time of 2-3 hour wait. At 2:30 in the afternoon. Arrived and prepared to wait. It was not busy, at least 5 open tables inside and 2 outside. No reason for no one sitting at the tables (understandable if they were short staffed). Finally got a table outside after 2 and half hour wait. waitress took over 15 minutes to come to the table and even get drink orders. by then we were ready to order and she seemed bothered that she had to take starter and drink orders. after ordering a few items she then told us they didn't have any more of those items left. We asked if they could turn the fire pit on - they were out of gas. Clearly they were not prepared to how busy they claimed to be for a holiday weekend. We got our food - which was ok - and left. Then the real problems started. Two members of our party got food poisoning. Both started feeling sick a few hours after we ate there and they ordered the same items. No one else in our party ate the same thing and no one else got sick (so it wasn't a stomach bug). We called the manager when we got back home two days later to let her know the foods that made them sick and for them to check their stock. She was rude, defensive and told us that it couldn't have been food poisoning because they have checked all their food items and that takes at least 24 hours after eating (it actually only takes 30 minutes to 6 hours) I understand that things happen. Sometimes staff has an off day; sometimes food is bad and it is isn't caught in time. BUT do not add insult to injury by being rude to your customer who had a bad experience and got sick. Be gracious, apologize. If she had had a better attitude we may consider going back. But we can not support a business that thinks it is ok to treat people like this. read more

Well we tired. We drove about 45 minutes super excited to support a local brewery in Boone. They were only allowing reservations, and turned us away. We couldn't even get a beer and hang out y'all. I know we are living in unknown times friends due to COVID, but we just wanted a beer. Maybe some to-go food but they didn't even offer that as an option. We were simply turned away. We came here to be part of their one year celebration. Who doesn't like a party? Although this brewery does not have a designated tasting room, you can view the creativity and hard work that goes into great beer by the large windows surrounding it. It is located on the corner of a strip mall with parking right in front. No worries though, they have partnered with Basil's Fresh Pasta & Deli, conveniently located next door, for beer lovers to taste their beer. They had eight on tap from IPAs, DIPAs, Saisons, Porters and Ales. We loved the DIPA so much we took home a 32oz growler! The owners, Carson and Tim, are happy to provide a tour of their facility and share their story. Two down to earth guys who love beer and enjoy sharing their creations. Booneshine is a perfect addition to the Boone brewery scene. The beer is delicious and one can tell they take the time to brew it right. We are excited to see how they will continue to grow. This was the worst brewery Iv ever been to . There was no music, there we no vibe the seating was also very sorry . I understand it's Covid but the outside seating was just white tents outside with no music. Wasn't a fan at all . The beer was good but the over all experience was a disappointment. Booneshine makes the BEST BEER IN BOONE! Their East Boone Pils is the most authentic Pilsner I've had in an American craft beer. It's very complex to brew, and they've done it quite well. We were able to squeeze in at 530 pm on Friday for outdoor seating. The hostess and wait staff were polite, but you could tell they would have preferred that we just left after they told us the wait was an hour and a half. My two kids got burgers, they ate on bite each and my husband and I tried them to confirm that they "tasted like fish." Gross! We let the waitress know that these burgers were bad or possible a health hazard haha, and she smiled and charged full price without a second thought for the whole thing. Best beer in boone by far! They make multiple really amazing IPAs which I love so so much. Food is also good, but service can be a bit wishy washy. I like to sit in the beer garden, and if I want to order a beer inside they tell me often that I have to order it at the truck by the garden. But my problem is that the truck has a more limited beer selection (only about 5 kegs on tap, rotating) and they don't usually have the one I want. Also some of the bar tenders pour massive heads on my beer which disappoints me! Servers are usually very very friendly and personable, and the beer garden as well and indoor seating and patio all have great vibes and are kept pretty neat and clean. read more

Went with a group of 4 here. First time trying out this place. The entire time there we "broke the rules" several times. You can only order a flight to try the different beers if you are sitting at the bar. Which has limited seating. The bartender finally agreed to let us break this rule, but then we took our beers upstairs which we thought was first come, first serve seating, so we sat at a table upstairs. We were RUDELY told that we were only allowed to sit at the rail so we all moved and sat at the rail. Then we were too much in the way for people to pass by so we were RUDELY told to move again. At this point we were pretty frustrated so we decided to go outside to which we were told again we were in the wrong place to just sit and drink with some friends. Still not sure where you are allowed to sit and where you are not. We ended up at the tents outside at the beer garden where we stood and talked until we decided there were other places in Boone to be that would be better. read more
