They have a nice selection of local wines and a great scenery! I enjoyed the berry wines and the live music! We brought our own sandwiches and blankets/lawn chairs to make ourselves comfortable outside. Please be mindful that you may not have phone service on the vineyard. Our CarPlay didn't work until we started driving away from the vineyard.
Stopped into boordy on a beautiful fall afternoon. They have ample outdoor seating and I had a lovely wine flight with generous pours. The server explained all the wines to me and I was given a menu as well. I enjoyed sitting peacefully outside and the other patrons were so sweet as well! Definitely a nice self care moment and will be back!
I loved everything about my visit to Boordy Vineyards. On the day I visited there was live music. In the main building you can order wine flights and charcuterie cheeses and much more! The ambiance was beautiful. The staff was vey helpful offering suggestions and their personal favorites. They also had vendors on the grounds where you could order other types of foods. This place is great for photo opportunities! I highly recommended visiting Boordy. It's a short drive from Baltimore and worth the visit.
I had the pleasure of visiting Boordy's for a friends 30th birthday. We reserved 2 tables inside the barn ahead of time to ensure we would be able to sit together. It was a Saturday afternoon and they had live music which was nice. The inside was packed so it was kind of loud inside. Our waiter was very friendly and provided us with recommendations. Most of us ordered flight #1 and it was the perfect combo. If you're looking for food they usually have a food truck there to purchase food. Boordy's also sells items à la carte for a charcuterie board. However, they were out of the most cheeses and jams which was a bummer. It would be nice if they had already made charcuterie boards that could serve a certain amount of people. Buying the items à la carte ended up being a little pricey. Overall it was a fun afternoon at the winery. I'll be back to enjoy their patio when the weather warms up!
Sunday Funday at the local vineyard. My wife and I stumbled upon Boordy being so close to our home. Just she and I went and was met with an unexpected "oasis" of serenity. There's no admission fee, plenty of free parking and the staff that we encountered were kind and knowledgeable. There was live music and picnic tables for use (some had reservation tags on them), there was also plenty of space to set up a picnic blanket or packable chair. We opted to take our packable chairs and had a view of the music and was close to the wine. They have a single foot option, in not sure if there's a rotation but on our visit they had South American cuisine. We chose one beef and one chicken empanada as well as an order of fries. Everything was good. They have a tasting room where you can taste from three different sets of wines. We chose set #3 because it offered some red and some white wines. The flight is $25. The bottles of wine are between $20 and $30. I didn't find this to be a "value" experience but being close to home and fun, we'll definitely be back!
I visited Boordy this past Saturday (4/20) as part of a bachelorette wine tour. I'm not a wine drinker and thus had a non-drinking pass, which was fine. The tour company and Boordy made sure I had a nice non-alcoholic beverage while the other ladies were tasting their wines, which was appreciated. I was impressed with the looks of Boordy. The grounds were lovely and there's a nice area with picnic benches (a lot in the shade!) and an area for live music. The inside was gorgeous too, giving a rustic barn vibe. This place would be good to have a wedding or host a big party. That said, the women I was with had nothing nice to say about the wines they sampled. Apparently they were pretty bad.
My partner and I had an relaxing afternoon at Boordy. There's an abundance of outdoor and indoor seating. I enjoyed the live music indoor so that's where we decided to stay. The staff was attentive and kind. We each ordered a flight which comes with 5 pours. We ordered a bottle, as well and took the rest home. If you want something light, make your own charcuterie is an option. For something heavier, there was a food truck. The food truck does have limited options if you are vegetarian or pescatarian. Overall I had a great time and will be back!
It is such a fun and beautiful winery. It's great for friends and dates. They have live music and always a good food truck around. I enjoy that you can purchase a flight or a bottle. You can also bring your own food which I love. I had all the things for a charcuterie board but forgot the board and they let you rent the board, how awesome is that. There are also so many photo ops and you can take a tour of the facility.
Disappointing and upsetting experience for false advertisement AND for management not having the decency to come outside and explain why they were not honoring what their website said. For that, we are giving you 1-star as that is bad business and extremely poor customer service. Went to Boordy's vineyards yesterday (Thursday, 24 JUL) with my boyfriend and his mom. It was our first time visiting the vineyard and we were very excited to try some tasting flights. We scanned the QR code which brought up the following information about tastings: "Tastings offered until 5:30PM Monday-Friday." It was Thursday afternoon around 5:15pm when we were denied tasing flights. The girl working the counter said that they only do flights until 4:30PM and concluded with "it's posted on the website." We all looked at her puzzled and showed her the information the QR code brought up from the Boordy's site saying flights until 5:30PM M-F. She paused, offered to ask the manager and would let us know. A few minutes later she returned saying the manager would not honor what their QR code is saying. We asked why, but the girl just said she wasn't sure. We left it at that, ordered a bottle to sample instead, agitated about the FALSE ADVERTISEMENT experience . We knew the girl was simply relaying the message, which increased our agitation because her manager did not have the common decency or the professionalism to come outside and address the matter in person. I'm sorry, but that's UNSATISFACTORY, POOR LEADERSHIP, and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to make your employees deal with annoyed customers. This soured the mood and lowered my opinion about my Boordy's experience. A good leader and manager would have the decency to come outside to converse directly with us, the customers, and explain why they were choosing not or honor their advertisement. However, a "great manager" would have honored what was advertised, spoken to us in person apologizing for the confusion and ensured our overall experience at Boordy's was pleasant; especially since it was our first time there. But none of that happened. The manager stayed inside (in the A/C), left it to their employee to deal with us overall demonstrating how low Boordy's prioritizes great costumer service - it's pretty low. Beware of false advertising as what's posted on their sites is incorrect, unless they're being "selective" with whom they sell tasting flights to - then that would open up another set of complaints. Management was disappointing and I professional in how they chose to handle the situation. Thank goodness for Yelp offering a platform for customers to offer honest and candid feedback about establishments our experiences. Word of mouth is powerful. Disappointing experience. Again, we've given Boordy's one star.
Really nice winery with ample seating in the shade and live music. Wine - They have 4 options of wine flights (equivalent to 2 glasses of wine) for $20 or glasses and bottles to purchase. -$3 souvenir glasses for purchase Food - They have a good truck and also had someone selling cheese. - You can bring your own. Seating - There is tons of seating on the patio with umbrellas. - They also have seating on picnic tables under trees which seems pleasant but you might want some bug spray. Service - Scan the QR code at each table for a menu. Servers come over and take your order and you pay right away. - I ordered a glass of rose which they could only do in a bottle and since I don't drink anything else, the server gave me a 1/2 glass which was incredibly sweet. Parking - Ample parking.

PROS: This place is the go-to vineyard in the entire area. Normally they have wine tastings and live music events. Their wine is good and the food venders they hire for the events always live up to expectations. Everyone is nice here too CONS: their website isn't up to date, it's still showing 2021 news and it's not good displaying on the phone. OVERALL: if you're in the area and love wine, or even spending an afternoon or evening with others--come here! read more

Spent a day with people I really like being around. What a beautiful thing! Thanks to Allen at Boordy Vineyards for the awesome education & tour (and for taking some photos of us). Boordy is the first vineyard I've ever been to and I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way! Their female founder was an inspiration to me and the main reason I wanted to go. Boordy's Mother's Day Brunch is from 10-5 for two days each year. If you ever get the chance to buy tickets before they sell out, do it! Also, thanks to Keyes Creamery for the amazing Old Bay Cheese and Cows Feet Ice Cream. read more

Beautiful local winery and not too long of a drive ..nice atmosphere and service was pretty good ...attentive staff ..food truck and live music on site ..(even shucked oysters to order) Although reservations were limited to max of 4 there was 8 of us so the staff was nice enough to pull our tables together ...gave 4 out of 5 stars was no complimentary glass and they do not make charcuterie boards (which was pictured on their yelp photos )BUT they sell the items to make your own AND you are allow to bring your own food as well ...I will visit again and have my own charcuterie board but overall good time had by all ... read more

Driving back from DC looking for a nice vineyard to spend a few hours.. this place met every expectation. Wine tasting was 10$ and u can keep the wine glass. The wines went from dry to sweet. Nice variety. The grounds were amazing, the views were amazing. They offer outdoor tables, picnic tables for u to sit and drink your bottle or just sip a glass. The best part was their food truck, hamburger, tacos, crab cake burger and old bay fries.. coming from a foodie it was OHHH MY DELICIOUS.. On Saturday's they have band from 5-9. Unfortunately we could not stay but we will be back!! read more

Vineyard was awesome. They have great outdoor space and tables. They had a good truck and their wine flights were affordable. Their wine isn't amazing but they make up for with ambience and service. Love this spot! If the weather is warm might try to come back here to celebrate my birthday. read more
We had a very nice time. Loved the vibe. We had to cut up our own cheese and meats (didn't like that). I had the vidal blanc wine and Jazzberry (for my beginner wine drinker friend lol). Its what u make it with the people you are with. Definitely will be back in the spring read more

I finally made my way to Boordy last weekend for a girls day. Immediately I was invited in by the ambience of the courtyard, lush greenery/trees/crawling ivy, and the niceness of the staff. We all decided on the flights and a charcuterie board. If we hadn't eaten brunch before going we would have partaked in the food truck/station which was Liquid Libs I believe. It smelled great so will definitely try next time!! All in all great place read more
I recently went to Boordy for a bachelorette party and overall it was a solid experience. You were allowed to bring in your own food which was great, and of course there was wine available to purchase. We purchased one of their summer series tickets so there was a live band and plenty of dancing to go around. When we went to taste the wine, I'm going to guess the servers were a little flustered and were just trying to get us to buy the wine and go - which was a little frustrating. I wasn't particularly impressed by the wine, but I would still like to go back and try more to see if that changes my opinion. But once the alcohol lightened the situation and the DJ came on stage it was party on. The overall atmosphere is great, lots of open grass areas for blanket picnics and a couple of picnic tables are available if you're early enough to get grab one! read more

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Only 30 min outside Baltimore City, easy Uber ride and an overall great time. If you are looking for a $10 day of drinking good quality wine, this is the spot. My advise: Bring a cooler! After a wine tasting they have ample amount of space to hang out and day drink equipped with picnic tables. I wish we brought a cooler filled with food and bottles of wine. The Good: -The Atmosphere: All the picnic tables are under the shade and the wine tasting servers did an amazing job of describing the wines and having a good time while doing it. -Great Deal: $10 wine tasting and tour! Fairly cheap bottles of wine. -Location: Vineyards are typically beautiful and this one doesn't disappoint. I think the fact that it is uberable from bmore is a major positive. -Food: Great Good was served from the grill, and reasonably priced -Parking: If you do drive, plenty of free parking! The Bad: -Bathroom: Yes Ladies there are porter potties. I will say this is a big turn off. They do keep them clean but for a vineyard I did expect better. The Ugly: Nothing read more

Beautiful property! I loved driving out to this vineyard and seeing the beautiful grounds made my day. The young guys (teens) were polite, but the really didn't help guide me for parking. Luckily I arrived super early (around 11:15 am) because, I pretty much just parked next to a car. I asked if I were parking in the correct place, and one of the young men said, "yeah" and just walked off with his coworker. No one directed me where to go. So I cut across the grass to go to the building. My waiter, Skylar, was super nice and sweet. I ordered Flight #1, which was delightful. Now, I was a little disappointed that I had to "set up" my own charcuterie board, LOL! When Skylar arrive to the table with my items in their original packaging and a paper plate, I almost died. I could've done that at home. Oh well, I enjoyed the wine, as well as, the meat and cheese eventhough I had to set it up. I would come back. It seems to be popular for adult birthday celebrations and events. read more

Baltimore's hidden gem. I was little skeptical at first because the vineyard is a little smaller than the usual spots I go. From the staff to the wine, I was very pleased with my visit. I didn't know wine flights were a thing until I came here. It's plenty of outdoor seating and covid friendly menu scanning. You place your order and they bring it out to your table. There are indoor restrooms but no indoor seating at the moment. There is live music and food trucks and farmers market close to after operating hours on Thursdays. Unfortunately dogs are not welcome but all humans are. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and just enjoy a great afternoon, especially when the weather is nice. I attended the October Sunday series, AUTUMN WINEFEST and it was fantastic! The drive up alone is just beautiful; rolling green hills, 70 degree weather, the leaves in autumn, such a wonderful scene. It's $12 dollars for adult admission, Children 2-12 are $5. The Louisiana Crawdaddies were playing some friendly toons that day. I love the fact that Boordy is so low key unlike some wine tasting events, where you run into a bunch of people. Boordy's tastings are totally community spirited and great for families. Truly the perfect getaway for the day. They have a few vendors like Keyes Creamery known for homemade ice cream and gourmet cheese, High Grounds Coffee Roasters, jewelry and woodwork vendors, among others. You can take a tour of the winery or get on board for an old fashion hay ride. We opted for the 3:30 tour, which was cool. But I would have really enjoyed the hay ride, because I wanted to go through the actual vineyard fields. I was surprised to learn that they use their own grapes. The tours showed us where the grapes are stored and fermented. We brought a blanket, some finger foods of our own, and purchased cheese from Keyes and crackers from the Tasting Room Barn. We had a good old time! They have some of the best sweet reds, my favorites The Chambourcin/Merlot, Jazzberry, and the Viva Sangria. Although they are sweet, the flavors are bold and very mature as in the past I have found a number of Maryland wines pretty thin in flavor and complexity. The Boordy experience can be had ALL YEAR LONG, they have a calendar of events on their web page where they have themed events with stews, sliders, and chili all paired with their expansive collection of wines. I definitely want to come back around Christmas time for WINE COUNTRY CHRISTMAS, it's a FREE TASTING on December Saturdays, where you can buy all types of gifts for your favorite wine drinkers up until December 22nd! read more

My trust time at Boordys was for my bday last month and I must say I have the most amazing time. Due to Covid they are doing 2 sessions a day for folks to come and social distance into their lawn. Everyone has to have a mask upon entry and their temp must be taken which made me feel super safe. It's also free to enter form 10am-5pm. You can have tent along the perimeter of the lawn and they have live music, booze and food. It was such an amazing time. I had a great time socially distancing with my friends and enjoyed great music drinks and food. I can't wait to come back. They also are taking extreme measures to clean the vineyard before the 2nd session between 5:30-10pm. Definitely something g to do this summer it was such an amazing time. read more

Please do not visit. After a really rough year (and let's be honest, so many of us have had a rough year!) and a traumatic birth, I was *finally* able to see friends and get a break. I almost died and my son almost died during child birth. I was so excited to see some friends for the first time and try Boordy wine! I had seen the wine around and was curiously anticipating trying them. I brought my 8-week-old nursing newborn who was asleep and strapped to me in a baby carrier. The security guard said no people under 21. I said that he was a newborn who was strapped to me and not an underaged drinker or a somewhat destructive toddler (I have one of those, too, but at home!). They said it was an insurance liability thing. I said I'm a 3L with a bunch of other lawyers and can draft my own liability waiver if that was a concern on their end. Not trying to be cute, just trying to offer solutions. The manager said curtly that my waiver would have to be approved by their lawyer, take 3-5 business days and that I would be responsible for processing fees. The security guard said that they can't let me and my newborn in because they were "worried about Yelp reviews" if others saw me with my newborn. She said that they would ask "why is she able to bring her child in? Is it because she's white?". This was news to me. I am Native American and NOT white passing. At the end of the day, I was crying and shaking. I was waiting 40+ minutes in a hot parking lot with a little newborn. All I wanted was some empathy. My husband's cousins have worked in the wine industry in Sonoma for the past 20+ years. I understand some attention is needed during production but absolutely not to this extent and 100% not to the detriment of people who need reasonable accommodations. I haven't tried Boordy wine, and I don't think I will have an opportunity to in the future. I feel humiliated. read more

This was our first experience at Boordy Vineyards! We came for the farmers market on Thursday afternoons. It was a wonderful experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our bottle of rose. Next time I would love to try one of the flights, as they seemed to be the most popular. There was live music and a few stands to purchase food and snacks from. I wish I would have read ahead of time that you can bring your own snacks and food to sit and eat at the picnic tables! read more

My bf and I decided to visit here after a recommendation from a friend and a few coworkers. The location was very easy to find and parking was easy, there were workers directing us as to where to park our cars. If you're planning on using your phone for the tickets, try to screenshot or print them before arriving because sometimes the service is a bit iffy. Luckily, we were able to get some service when we got to the stand. The tickets were about $22 dollars each (including tax), you can purchase tickets online in advance and at the location as long as it's not sold out. To be on the safe side, just purchase them online. The event actually started at 5, we purchased tickets the same day around 5:45. Wine- There were several stands (about 6-8) with 5 different wines (red & white). The people helping with the wine tasting were pleasant and nice. However, i don't feel like he explained anything about the wine to us. We tasted the rose and some type of sweet white wine. We ended up buying a bottle of the sweet white wine for about $13. You could buy the wine by glass or by the bottle. Most of the prices ranged from $12-20ish a bottle, which isn't bad at all. They also had a great selection of wines. They offered glasses for $3/each or you can use the glasses for free at the location and return them when finished. Food- The food was good. There was an icecream food stand that offered cones/cups of icecream for about $4/$5. I didn't get any icecream but my friend said her icecream was really good. There was one food stand with a really long line. We probably were in like for 20 min or more. They offered burgers, hot dogs, different types of friends, chicken tenders, pulled pork tacos, chicken salad. The food was okay, i decided to order something simple. I ordered a BYO burger and fries. The burger was $10 and kind of dry. It tasted like real beef though. The fries were super crispy and delicious. They were about $5. And they give you a lot of fries!! My boyfriend got a hot dog and pork tacos which totaled out to be about $13-14. My bf enjoyed the tacos and he said the hotdog was okay. The food took about 5 min to be ready and they offer toppings on the side such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and several condiments. The only thing that threw me off was the fact that none of the toppings/condiments were covered so several flies and bugs were flying around them. Which was kind of unsanitary, if they had lids this problem could be easily fixed. For the prices, i don't really think the food was worth it, maybe for the tacos and the fries. But that burger wasn't worth $10 at all. Music/vibe/atmosphere- Music was pretty good, there was a band playing a range of old school music with different types of music genres. We were able to find a table with chairs by the food, but definitely bring a blanket! The vineyard is really beautiful! The age group at this vineyard was mainly people in their 40s and up. But overall, it was a good time. P.S. the wine tasting area and the food area take both cards and cash! I'm not too sure about the ice cream place, but I'm sure they do. read more

What are the hours? I saw some posts that said they have two different sessions. What time do they actually close for the day?
So they have two sessions that is correct but they actually close I believe at 10 you have to purchase a lawn space if you decide to attend the evening session otherwise they open as early as 10 and the session from 10-5 is free to enter
