Went there early on a Monday evening with reservations and were seated in a quiet corner. Thank goodness because it is a very noisy establishment. Food was fabulous but service was relatively slow. Had the Monday night special and meat was cooked to perfection! Nice looking place since renovations were done. Will go back!!! read more

Our friend introduced us to a new restaurant today, and we really liked it. We were seated at a corner table by Jennifer who kindly lowered the blinds to reduce the glare as we requested. Jennifer was a delightful and attentive server. Our friend ordered the Shrimp Salad Wrap, which was enormous - certainly enough for two meals. She was delighted that the shrimp were perfectly seasoned and not too spicy. She chose a side salad to go with it. My husband and I decided to try the omelet of the day - Omelet Lorraine with Gruyere cheese with a side salad. We were both pleased with our choice. What we liked about this restaurant is that we were able to have conversations without have to raise our voices - something that is becoming more difficult in most restaurants today. We have ate here twice since they have reopen under new the new owners They have done a great job with the renovation. The restaurant is clean & doesn't smell like cigarettes. The decorations/ pictures are very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good we had the crab cake dinner and it's one of the best crab cakes I have had. Steam shrimp appetizer which was also great. The second time we had lunch I got the open face meat loaf sandwich which was amazing and my better half got the single crab cake dinner and its was consistent with our first meal. We had reservations for a party of 6, and we were the first to arrive. We were warmly greeted by Chris, the owner, and seated immediately. Elizabeth, our server, came over right away to ask if wanted anything to drink. She was a friendly and attentive server to our party of 6. We wanted to introduce our friends to this new restaurant. We were delighted to see that their house wine was by Three Thieves, so we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio for $32. Others in our party enjoyed mixed drinks. The restaurant was full with a good vibe. One in our party started off with one of the appetizer specials of Beef Birra Egg Rolls with dipping sauce and another had the Cream of Crab Soup with grilled sourdough - both very impressive. For our entrees, we enjoyed a Turkey Club with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on white toast with thin French fries, a huge Pork Cutlet that was butterflied and pan fried with arugula salad with fennel, radish, and lemon honey vinaigrette, a Shrimp Salad Wrap with thin French fries, Meat loaf that was made in house with a mild barbeque style gravy, mashed potatoes, and a mixed green salad with blue cheese dressing, and two enormous Pork Chops - each 12 ounces - grilled and topped with a peach and balsamic glaze with blue cheese crumbles served with roasted red potatoes and rainbow carrots. Rude bartender unprofessional ,kitchen always closed for some reason or another ,and dont get caught tipping the host singing for the night with out tipping the bartender on an over priced shot. You may find yourself being forcefully removed, in a horrible manner. read more

Went once more time on a Thursday. My husband had the crab cake platter and it was fair. Again the crab cake was wet and a bit mushy. I passed on the crab cake and had the shrimp salad wrap with a small side salad. This was a good sandwich with whole pieces of small shrimp. It needed some pepper as it was very bland. This was better than the crab cake but I rate it as basic bar food. The salad was good and I had the lemon dressing which was much better than the Louie. I like this place for a quick meal but my expectations are a now bit lower because of the food prep. With a little more attention it could be improved. read more

Went here after i voiced to a friend- i miss a good local pub- this was her suggestion. Food was fabulous i had steak fretes and fries. Meat was sooked to perfection. Town Tavern is a local spot where you can have a drink, good eats, and pick up alcohol to go. No one messes with you so having a drink is peaceful here. My Ruben was good. My buddy loved his burger. Super rude service. Our large group sat at a table and was told we would have to get up and walk to the bar to order drinks and food. Then when a few of us stood up at the same time to order shots the bartender quickly said "are you going to sit back down? you gotta let me know because i have other customers here that could sit at your table".
