I favor the simplicity of a well made smoothie from time to time over a dense meal. Boostin Bowls fills that need. Environment It's a rather small store but it doesn't offer enough of a seating area to qualify as a "study spot" in ny opinion. Usually there's no more than one of two employees working at a time and I've never had to wait in line to pick up an order. Food They offer a few different ready to grab items such as granola bars, bananas, etc. However, the real gem is their smoothies. I've tried a few but the star of the menu is the Island Vibes smoothie. THE SAUCE While they wouldn't qualify as my favorite smoothie store in the city, they easily fill the void in the Manayunk/Roxborough area. I can't suggest all their offerings but their smoothies are consistently good. read more

Second time stopping by Boostin Bowls and so glad I did because I forgot this little spot was even here! Love how minimalistic the menu--straight to the point, not too much and not too little. The açaí here is a little more on the sweet side, but very delicious. I had the tropical bowl which had banana, strawberries and mango with some granola and honey--All hits no misses! This bowl was sooo delicious!! The ingredients were fresh and the texture of the bowl was perfect! I got a tropical bowl and added granola. Great acai bowls but definitely pricey for the portion. Ordered the peanut butter and banana one with chocolate chips. They do not skimp on the toppings which was good to see. Quite filling and more of a dessert than healthy breakfast but I'll never complain about that. Service was nice and fast. The store didn't really have seating and it's really small, so definitely more a to-go place. read more

I've been trying to eat healthy because I've definitely gained a few lbs during this quarantine so I decided to try an açaí bowl. I've always heard of them but never tried until yesterday. Let me tell you, I AM HOOKED. I ordered the tropical bowl and it was absolutely delicious. It was a blended açaí base with coconut shavings and topped banana, strawberries and mangos. I think there was some sort of syrup on it too but not sure what. Regardless, I have no complaints besides I want more! I can't wait to try the others! read more

What a seamless ordering and delivery process! We ordered 5 bowls and a smoothie to our office for breakfast. The entire process took 30 minutes from order to delivery, during rush hour at that! Fantastic service, and the order was correct. The bowls are AMAZING. I ordered the PB&J bowl and added bananas and nutella. Totally delicious. The base was still cold and not melted when we received it upon delivery. The fruit was fresh. The smoothie was very watery, I am not sure if this is normal. But my coworker enjoyed it nonetheless. I've been looking for an Açaí place since I've moved here. This location is super convenient- right off of Main St. I got the Manayunk Vice Bowl. The bowl was a lot sweeter than I'm used to, but it was really good. The strawberries tasted fresh, and I added cacao nibs as a topping which was delicious. I would've liked my bowl to be a little less sweet personally. I also wished the pineapple was fresher. It seems like it may have been from a can (?) or just older. I just missed the tartness pineapple usually has from the bowl. It was still delicious for sure though, and I'll probably be back to get something else soon. read more

This spot came up when I was searching for local smoothie shops, so I decided to check it out. The location is off of Main street in Manayunk , there is s parking lot across the street, other than that good luck finding street parking! The space itself is cute, but the customer service could have been much better. I placed an order for avocado toast and a smoothie. The smoothie was okay nothing I would be excited about, I ordered the Island vibes smoothie. The avocado toast as ok as well it was my first time having it with boiled egg, and it wasn't advertised or told to me that it's extra for the egg and tomatoes. Usually when I get avocado toast those typically come with it. It is much cheaper than what I usually pay with is between ($12-$15) so I get it. Overall it was nice to try cant say this would be my go to even though it's pretty close to me. read more

My go to place for açaí bowls!! Not only because I live close by but also the fruits taste fresh every time and the entire bowl is not overly sweet or watery but is just right. Staff is always friendly and upbeat I never have to wait over 10mins for my order. The only thing I have tried that I wasn't too crazy about was the smoothies but the bowls are amazing !! Definitely my favorite healthy way to start my mornings. Even got my husband into eating healthier after he tried the Manayunk vice bowl! read more

It was pretty good but nothing extraordinary. Definitely over priced. We order the avocado toast with eggs and tomatoes which was okay idk worth $7.50 for one slice of bread, 3 grape tomatoes and one hard boiled egg. Also ordered the Boostin blend smoothie and strawberry banana smoothie-again also good but don't know if I can justify spending $8 on a smoothie. One thing I particularly wasn't a fan of was that the calorie content of each item was not specified. Don't know if we will be back :( read more

My new favorite place! I have never had an açaí bowl before. When my fiancé wanted to give it a try I was a little hesitant since I am more of an eggs for breakfast kind of guy, but I am so glad we got Boostin' Bowls! We ordered through DoorDash. Excellent first time visit- the menu board listed all of the ingredients for each bowl and recommended add-ons, which made ordering easy. Staff was friendly and wore face masks. Overall, the environment was very inviting and clean. The fruit in both of our bowls was very fresh and the açaí base was the perfect consistency. Definitely addicting! I had to come back a 2nd time this week after we stopped in for the first time recently. Monkey the shop dog is a great welcome committee and the menu is great with plenty of variety! I tried the Boostin smoothie and my Bf the bootstin bowl. They were both fresh and delicious although I agree with some other reviews that toward the end it can get watery but still has a lot of flavor. The smoothies are big and filling but I agree prices are a little high. I love supporting a small business though and know my smoothies at home are nowhere near as good so this will be a great place to treat ourselves to a healthy post workout meal. This adorable place just opened off Main St in Manayunk today!! I have been waiting anxiously and it totally delivered! They just do acai bowls for now but said they'll be starting smoothies soon too! The bowls are really large with the acai/smoothie like foundation and topped with your choice of toppings. They have suggested options, I got the PB and J which comes with strawberries, peanut butter and granola and added blue berries. They also have tons of options like nuts, fruit and dried coconut to add if you want! It was so fresh and really tasty, it definitely filled me up too, the perfect healthy lunch! The store is really clean and open and the owners are super sweet!! Definitely come check this place out for a great healthy meal or snack! read more

So delicious and the employees are very nice! Also very clean store. So many fruits and topping options for the bowls plus they have smoothies. I built a bowl with a pitaya base + many toppings; my boyfriend had a green goddess smoothie and surprisingly liked it. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly sweet-- not sure if they add extra sweetener so be sure to ask if you want/need no added sugar. Definitely recommend visiting the store if it's your first time or you'd like to build your own bowl because there isn't an option on the website (please correct me if I am wrong). So glad I found this acai shop in Manayunk! Boostin' Bowls has a beautiful interior, it is exceptionally clean and the staff is beyond lovely. What a wonderful way to wake up on Saturday morning and do my pre-workout breakfast. The staff was lovely and delightful as I sneezed my way (thank you allergies) thru ordering. I got the traditional Boostin Bowl and added a little Nutella just cause I was feeling sassy...delicious delicious delicious. Its almost like you've stopped at the frozen yogurt store yet you know everything inside of it is absolutely good for you . I am so excited to have somewhere to get an acai bowl on the weekends when I am not in center city! I have tried the Boostin Bowl and the Banana Split Bowl and both were great! Everything is fresh and delicious. I would agree that the menu is a little pricey, but I don't mind paying extra to support a local business. Plus, there's a puppy to greet you at the door. read more

A small annoyance, but fine, this did not affect my star rating. Let's get to the actual bowl. I ordered a warm bowl for many specific reasons. The young lady gave me my bowl. It was wonderfully overstuffed to the point that you couldn't even get the lid on it. I'm thinking, "bonanza!" She offered me another lid to try, I wasn't able to carry it out because you could not snap the lid on. I said no worries, I will sit & take a few bites to eat it down so I can get the lid on. I took one bite of the chicken and it was ice cold, nearly frozen. Maybe my teeth are extra sensitive, but this was the coldest bite of chicken ever. Beyond refrigerator cold. I'm hammering home how cold this chicken was because I turned my neck to look up to make sure I ordered a WARM bowl! That was an instant turn off, I took the dressing out and I was able to get the lid to fit at that point. While I'm driving back to work, I call my wife to ask her if she would like to take this bowl and she laughed at me and said no thank you. (we work at the same place.) When I think I'm getting a warm bowl, for me that means warm protein. Even if I have a salad, I want my protein to be warm. I guess that's my very personal preference , but it was disappointing. It's not meeting the expectation. But that's STILL not even why I'm giving it three stars, lol. The reason why I'm giving it three stars?? The bowl was not good! I would never order this again or anything like it. The bowl is this very deep and heavy serving of riced cauliflower. Way too much cauliflower for the small amount of toppings. It's basically cauliflower and greens. The cauliflower was warm. But also 100% bland, as in not seasoned in ANY way. It's astonishing. As if shows like Chopped and TOP Chef don't exist where chefs are criticized about their lack of salt and lack of seasoning. This is why I'm giving it three stars. I cannot in good conscience overlook that this tastes like you're in the hospital and you're on a restricted diet. I don't understand who eats this food. Chickpeas out the container, avocado sliced out of its skin, tomatoes out the container, cucumbers out the crate, and cauliflower out its package. Then you assembled it and gave it to me. What am I paying for? What are you selling? Your ability to assemble? No salt or pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, seasonings, herbs, spices- you did not do anything to any ingredient! I had to get dressing from a colleague because even the balsamic vinaigrette that comes with was bland. I'm going on and on because I'm frustrated with establishments taking money for doing the absolute minimum. You're a restaurant, you need to actually do something to the food, or don't offer it. Stick to the fruit bowls! And I will try that with the remainder of my gift card balance. Now I have to figure out how to choke down this terrible bowl that was supposed to serve as my lunch and dinner. I'm just really aggravated. If you made it this far, thank you for following my rant to the end. I was just venting at some point but oh well, here we are.

I'm disappointed that my feedback seemed to be misunderstood or misrepresented. I completely understand that ingredient costs have increased, and I genuinely respect PS & Co.'s commitment to using high-quality ingredients. My concern wasn't about the price alone, it was about the value and quality of this particular dessert compared to what I've had from them in the past. More broadly, I hope this isn't part of a larger shift away from some of their trademark desserts. I tried a bit of everything and you'd have no idea that the items were gluten, sugar and dairy free! The berry muffin was better than "normal" muffins I've had. The apple fritter ranked third for us, but it was still really good. It wasn't as sweet as the other two, which was actually nice and helped balance everything out. I do wish it had been a little crispier and had more pieces of apple throughout, but I still enjoyed it. I'd absolutely come back to try more of their donuts, and I definitely want to check out some of their other bakery items too!

I love Boostin' Bowls! I have been twice, and I am absolutely hooked.. and don't feel bad about it either because all ingredients are healthy, always fresh and TASTY. I had the Açaí Boostin' Bowl both times but with different add+ons (peanut butter, bee pollen). The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the health benefits of the different ingredients she uses and is always in a positive spirit. I got the filet mignon medium rare and did not remove any of the standard offerings. First bite was just a carrot overload, they say the carrots are pickled but that acidity just wasn't there so it was just carrot flavor. The filet mignon is fried but didn't have a crunch or much seasoning to it so it relatively tasted like a meat was present. The "House special sauce" had such a minuscule effect on the sandwich until the end middle of the half. The bread was standard Banh Mi baguette style roll but wasn't anything remarkable in regard to crunch, softness and taste. Overall I give the Gettin' Fancy an unfortunate 3/10 "The Classic" held up to it a name, it's very much a classic Banh mi, we initially thought the "belly cuts" were going to be more of a thick pork belly but was deli slice thin. Not a big problem but the sandwich lacked depth, I found myself hav3 similar flavor experiences between the two sandwiches which wasn't great but I think that comes from the overuse of the vegetables which overshadowed the meats for me. I give "The Classic" a ok 4/10 The Bulgogi Bowl was pretty good, I think the heavy hand of veggies work here. I do however wish the beef itself was a bit more seasoned as again it just felt like a cooked beef meat and lacked the flavorful addition it so desperately needed. The Bulgogi Bowl gets an ok 4.5/10 The Furikake Fries were the star but mainly because nothing else shined. The furikake seasoning was just thrown on top of truthful really well fried fries. They had a great crunch and were a bit airy, very small but still satisfying. The season didn't do much, I wish that added maybe a garlic oil and tossed them in the seasoning instead of just sprinkling it on top. It came with spicy ketchup which we actually, it's nothing too crazy, very true to the name. The Furikake Fries get a nice 6.5/10 We got 3 drinks but I forgot to snap a picture, forgive me. We got the Matcha Cloud Latte, Mi n' Tea Milk Tea, and some coffee but didn't try that so I can't judge. The milk tea was terrible, very standard Milk tea with zero personality, and the boba was very plain which barely any sweetness. The only grace I will give is that I did order the sweetness level to 75% so maybe the 100% is better but overall it wasn't creaming in the slightest, and was soooo watery. The Mi n' Tea Milk Tra gets a sad 1/10 I'm not the biggest matcha fan but I thought the Matcha Cloud Latte was pretty good. Same 75% sweetness but it was still pretty good. I'm not too well versed on matcha so I don't have much to say, overall giving the Matcha Cloud Latte a solid 7/10 The service was good, not the biggest space, very standard cafe, but not much seating.
