What a delight! This cute gem of a coffee shop is located in the Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing. Honestly one of my favorite places for coffee and a space to work in the city. Living closer to Center City, it's nice to get away, see some green, and get a place that's usually quieter to work. I've been here a few times at this point, and this place is nice regardless of season. They have the main cafe, an outdoor area for the warmer months and even a heated tent when it's cooler. There's even the lobby of the next door hotel that we've taken our food and drinks too. Wi-fi in all places is solid for deep work. Service is always great and quick. Food sometimes took a bit longer than usual, but that always coincided with busy times. Today I got a chai for dine-in and it was out as soon as I set my backpack down at a table. We came on the weekend afternoon and were so excited based on the decor, but it was like getting food at the airport. The Landing Kitchen is a mostly outdoorsy location to hang out with friends, bring children, work remotely, etc. with a scenic view. I highly enjoy this multifaceted place! I've been to The Landing Kitchen a few times with my friend and also a time with her family along with her baby. It's a nice place to have conversations, enjoy being outside, and even play games (which I haven't done yet but want to next time). When you order food there, you have to go inside, and then the staff will hand you a number. You place it on the table, and they'll bring out your food. So far, I tried their sparkling rosé, which was okay to sip on, and the TLK burger with fries, which tasted good. I've enjoyed The Landing Kitchen both times I have stayed at the Marriott and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The menu is small but has great options. Today I ordered an iced coffee and their new "Flavor Blasted Grilled Cheese" which has fontina, american, and a creamy tomato reduction on brioche, topped with cheez-it dust. I added smoked ham for $4 extra and it was high quality meat. I have to say it was super tasty! The inside has a good amount of seating and several stools with a long table overlooking the outside patio. You walk in order, take a number and seat yourself. The outside area is beautiful. Free open with little fire pits and a tent area. We are seated right next to the water now. So many dogs and if you know me you know that's my jam. I love animals. This is a great place to bring kids I imagine. Those aren't my jam though. They aight. I got the salmon on toast and it was really good. Again it was $15 and it was literally one piece of toast with 5 pieces of folded salmon. My wife got the breakfast sandwich and said that was delicious. Not very big and no sides. You know what, I feel kinda good. I don't feel too full.
