On June 3rd, I ordered some boots and a hat, It said ships the same day on both items for the sizes I selected. I waited until 6 pm June 7th, and still not shipped. I did call, the rude woman said they shipped today. But when I asked for the shipping number she hung up. LOL, I will never ever buy from these liars again. Great western store, clean, organized, well stocked and staffed. Has much more than boots. I've brought multiple family member here and they are all pleased with their items of clothing. Hats, boots, jeans, coats and shirts. Price is a little high but quality is higher. read more

Brendan has helped me out a lot with my multiple visits, he has helped me find the correct sized boots that fit correctly and comfortable for my wife and kids. Poor customer service. I just made a phone call to the store and Steve answered. I wanted to know if they carried a particular $300 boot in store that I was prepared to come down and buy, I asked if I could give him the item number on the website to check. I recieved a dull, crass reply from Steve about how they probably don't. Ok.... Please just check, it's 9am, im sure you can find the time. He asks who makes them, I tell him the name. I get an abrupt "no, none of the 250 stores sell them in this area".... like how stupid am I to even ask. This conversation was less than friendly and did not make me want to shell out ANY money to boot barn because of Steve's piss poor and lifeless customer service, so I just paid $328 and purchased them online at Country Outfitters. So disappointed in the customer service at this location. Went there to purchase new jeans with the thought of needing some help in regards to different fits and sizes. When I first walked in I greeted the manager and received a rude tone hello as though I was bothering her. Three other employees were roaming around chit chatting. I grabbed 8 pairs of jeans. Had to ask for someone to unlock the dressing room. After trying on all my jeans still not one employee had asked if I needed help. I decided not to purchase my jeans from this location. They lost a multi hundred dollar sale from me. Did I mention I was the only customer in the store?! Unbelievable. read more

"New management " won't allow refund or even a straight up exchange of a pair of boots bought for me as a gift from my husband. State that if it is longer then 60 days you are out of luck! In and out of the hospital and finally able to go to the store to try on boots and can't exchange them. They charge top dollar and then do this?!?!? Never purchasing from them again. When we tried to return them they told us, sorry you are stuck with them but we can stretch the for you. Let me add that these boots where only tried on once then put back in the box. I'm very dissatisfied with your store that's located in Fairfield California. I went in there over the weekend to find myself a pair of boots and much to my surprise you had a VERY SMALL section for women who wear size 10 and 11's and there weren't any for women who wear size 12. However anyone who had a smaller foot, well they had plenty of boots to choose from. I shouldn't have to order boots on line have them delivered only to find out they don't fit right or they weren't what I was really looking for. I'd like to buy boots the same way that people with small feet are( by trying them on and seeing if I like them). Your store should represent ALL your customers, not just people with small feet. It's a shame women who have bigger feet and are taller have to be subjected to such disappointment when out trying to enjoy a shopping trip. read more

This place is great! Been there a few times.. customer service has been exceptional , only 1 time they were busy and...well had to be patient for someone to free up.. all employees have been helpful. Hailey (misspelled I am sure) went above and beyond to assist in a pinch.. extra care cleaning my hats .. with a wonderful smile.. everything you need at one place, although inventory of some sizes are limited.. small Beaver hat selection, I am sure sure if the website has it, they can get it but all said, medium size store with good selection. Very upsetting experience. First of all, the Fairfield location is minimally labeled without any clear organization from brand to size. I had been in the women's section nearly 15 minutes without any sort of associate service. The women who came to help me was very helpful and even offered to steam my boots. It is a very hot summer, so I brought along a pair of Nike socks because I was wearing sandals and knew i would be trying on multiple boots. Each time I went to search the chaos of boots I would change my socks back into sandals due to the store's unknown cleanliness. Dennis came over to us and asked if we would like anything to be put up front to ring up. Startled and grateful of the extra help offered, I had explained we were waiting for the associate to come back with my steamed boots. He continued to glare at my 13 year old sister, who was holding my OPEN purse with the bundle of socks in it. I was confused as to why he was eyeing her up and down, so I look back to see the bundle of socks hanging out as a possible provoking reason as to why he would be staring so harshly at a little girl. I grab the bundle and tell him these are my socks I brought with me and I've been taking them in and out of my purse. While still staring at my sister, he tells her, eye-to eye, that he has cameras and he's watching her. The associate come backs with my boots and my sister is ready to cry and the associate hugs her because of the traumatic situation. I ask for him to come out to ask his name and let him know the unprofessional manner he approached her in, how disrespectful he was to her and his response was OKAY. She left in tears. read more

I would give them a ZERO if I could. I purchased boots for my son. Come to find out they were faulty and cracked at top after just one month. On numerous occasions, I called Boot Barn headquarters, was told more than 3 times they would send me a return label, never got it. Horrible customer service. Returned a pair of boots since they (Bootbarn) sent the wrong pair. When I opened the boxes and a pair of crappy brown women's boots 5 sizes smaller then what I wear was a real disappointment. When returning they practically accused me of sending them a crap pair of women's boots. I had ordered a pair of men's cowboy boots. Returned everything exactly as I received it. All the sales people were extremely nice and informative and even when we weren't ready for there help they were all still very kind ! Extremely high pressure store. I went in to purchase boots but almost didn't just due to the immense pressure of sales people. We were stared at and constantly asked by staff "did we need help", seemed like it was because we had kids with us. Very rude sales people who will not let you make sure you have the right boots, even though they are at least $150. Just wanted to double check, and I was given a very rude answer.."now hold on I let you walk around in thode and everything". About a month ago, I got the sudden urge to pick up a pair of cowgirl boots. So on my way back to SF from Sacramento, I decided to stop in one day. Cowboy hats, big bold, blinged-out belts, cowboy/cowgirl apparel, can all be found here in addition to the boots. The boots are arranged by size and everything on the shelves are what they have in stock. Even though it appeared that they had a wide selection of styles, it was mostly the same ones in different sizes. I fell in love with a pair of cute beige mid-calf ones with a touch of bling (of course). I brought a friend in a week later who picked out a great pair of comfy brown suede ones. Yee haw. The prices are standard retail unless they're on sale and the service was acceptable. read more

As a construction worker for over 27 years I have learned to only buy top quality boots made of the best leathers. Otherwise they wont last a whole year. I wanted to switch and try a new brand of boots. I ordered Cody James (patriots). Boot Barns web page claims they are made of full grain leather (the best kind). The tag in side the boot says genuine leather. They are out right false advertising. After talking with Boot Barns "Leadership Department" they said I could get 10 percent off my next pair. Thats funny, all you have to do is insert your email address and you get ten percent off. BOOT BARN LIES ABOUT THERE PRODUCT QUALITY !!!!!!!!!!!! I will never buy from LIARS again. The manger there was terrible, I would not recommend shopping here, If you know your size buy online. I am planning my wedding and I am getting married in 6 weeks. It took my brother over an hour and a half to find the boots he needed for the wedding. I could not stay because I had other things to do. I wrote a note giving my brother (who has the same last name) my permission to use my credit card and I even left a copy of my drivers license. They would not let him use the card, I called the store and talked to a ding-bat of a sales associate who could not do anything. He asked if I wanted to talk to the manager and I was YES! My brother said the the manager rolled their eyes and walked away. My brother was going to spend over $200 and spent almost two hours in their store. They don't keep some advertised brands in stock. *Edit* A manager from Boot Barn contacted me through Yelp asking to make it better. Wow amazing how this giant boot store is averaging 1 review per year. It's a huge store filled with everything a cowboy (or cowgirl!) could want! Large selection of hats, accessories and of course, boots! The bf picked up a pair of double h boots since they didn't have another one he wanted in their size. They said they were doing inventory and couldn't order anything for 2 weeks but we probably will be back since they give you 10% credit from your purchase toward the next purchase. We went @ around 4:30pm on Sunday and it was pretty empty, maybe 3 customers total inside, including us! The salespeople were friendly and I was impressed with how comfy boots are. Their selection of women's larger sizes (over size 8) are slim though. The salesperson told me they have communicated that they have a higher demand for larger women sizes (she herself was a size 11) but corporate has yet to execute any changes. They have yet to join the Big-Footed Women Revolution. read more

I love this place! Their selection of boots is AMAZING! Why didn't I come to this place sooner? The lady that helped me out was so sweet. There was no one else in the store and the young girl who helped me was really attentive, knew a lot about boots and had some great suggestions. I wanted to go to one other Boot Barn before committing and she kindly volunteered to write down the information about the boots that I liked even thought I wasn't buying. My experiences at Bootbarn have been mixed, mostly due to the Manager Dennis. While I was here with my cousin, we were standing next to the bathrooms where she was trying on her boots, and Dennis comes up to us and yells that the bathroom is closed! Like cool dude, I can read signs and we're clearly trying on boots. He also seemed a little scattered at times and several other customers I talked to said he had spoken to his employees in very disrespectfully on multiple occasions. I give Dennis a .5 star rating and the store and the other employees a 5! read more

I am traveling, going thru Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming and been to a boot barn in each state where my choice of boots were limited to 8-10 pairs of my size- choice of color being all brown and one red pair. You carry cute clothes but definitely not barn full of boots unless your a man or have small feet. You should change your name to clothes barn. Calif has more boots in my size than all these western states.Bummer read more

Went to store they did not have the size of boot I wanted but was told we could order online. I went home and ordered boots the next day online and was pumped....but about 15 mins later I received an email stating that they didn't have the boots I wanted in stock. After waiting several more days I decided to try to order the boots again as I really needed them for work. Got them in cart and tried to pay which after 20 mins of fighting it went through. (should've been a red flag there) Again I was stoked and received a confirmation number. Later that day I received another confirmation and tracking number saying that the boots had shipped. (free 2 day shipping on purchase of 75.00) WELL that was over a week ago UPS had never received the boots to be shipped AND after 3 emails and 2 phone calls... which by the way both sitting on hold for over an hour! I finally learned that its going to take 7-10 more days to find out what happened and where my boots are. NOT to mention in the mean time I'm out $132.00 and still wearing some worn out work boots. THANKS BOOT BARN!!!! I have SEVERAL friends and family that shop or wanna shop at this store and will NOT BE RCOMMENDING them to do so! WORSE STORE EVER!! read more

I've shopped at bootbarn.com before, and a few months ago I thought I'd give the store in Fairfield a shot. My first experience was actually not bad. They have a pretty good selection of boots, and the people working seemed friendly enough. Today's visit really left me not wanting to come back... My mom and I were looking for some boots to give as a gift. We found a pair we liked, and asked a young lady for a box. Donna, was very friendly in explaining that she could give us a box, but it wouldn't necessarily be the box that went with the boots. (Being that we had shopped at the store once before we already knew that.) I let her know that wasn't a problem, and she let us know she would leave them in the front waiting for us when we were ready to check out. My mom and I browsed around for a bit, but only picked up a wallet, and went to check out. This is when my experience went downhill... There was one lady at the register, Francis, who was working on some paperwork. We waited for her to finish, and let her know we were ready to check out. She looked very annoyed at the fact that she had to ring us up. We asked if she could please give us a gift receipt, and she nodded. As she was ringing us up, I started to tell me mom that he box they had given us wasn't necessarily the box of the boots. To this, Francis very rudely interrupted and said "we don't have the original box for these boots". I let her know that I was aware of this, and again she looked annoyed. A few other customers lined up, as they were ready to check out as well. I heard Francis tell one of the young ladies, that she needed to ring the customers up because she needed to finish the layaway paperwork. The young lady let her know she would be right back because she was helping a customer get the right size boots. Francis apparently didn't like this answer, because she shook her head and let out a big sigh of disbelief. She gave us our receipt, but realized she hadn't given us our gift receipt we had asked for. She printed our gift receipt and handed it to us. Because I didn't want to loose the gift receipt, I opened the box and put it in the box. While I was still at the register and struggling to close the box, Francis called up the next customer and attempted to ring her up. After realizing that I was struggling, and apparently holding back the line, she attempted to take the box away from me to close it. (By then I had already figured it out.) My mom and I left the store feeling like we had been an inconvenience to Francis. We came to the store because it's a 20 minute drive from our house, but after this experience I will probably stick to the online option to avoid the rudeness of employees like Francis. read more
