Came in for wide legs but the body dysmorphia was free! I came here because I heard that ariat jeans are tall girl friendly and I've been wanting a pair of wide leg jeans. I found a pair in a size 28 (I wear a size a 27 but they didn't have any in my size) I decided to try them on despite being one size larger than I usually wear. I came out of the dressing room to show my friend the pants and before she could comment, a sales associate came out of nowhere to say "those are cute." I said "omg thank you. They are a little big (and at this moment I pinched the excess fabric on my hips) I think I will try a size 27 because that's usually what I wear!" To then which this sales associate, a woman named J*de, said to my actual face "oh honey, if you size down you'll be absolutely SUFFOCATING. That size is fine." And as she says the word "suffocating" she GENUINELY gestures to the STOMACH region. I have never in my life been called fat by a retail employee. For context I am 5'8 and 145lbs. We had the best experience shopping yesterday. My son was shopping for a cowboy hat and the sales associate was extremely helpful. He took his time and really helped my son find one that fit correctly and was what he was looking for. He even went to the back to find a couple other styles in his size. We also found several pairs of jeans in his size which we typically have to order elsewhere because they don't carry smaller sizes in store. They carry a large selection of clothes, boots and hats. I have been looking for a few years for something like a pair I used to have of "Shoeties" These look like boots but they are actually a shoe. I don't much like pulling on boots so they are basically perfect for the look of boots with out having to struggle with them. I thought.. Boot Barn should have these. So I was in the area for another appointment and stopped in. Yeah... no. Out of the literally hundreds of pairs of things they had to offer, not one in the whole place. I didn't have a lot of time to look around but they have a lot of stuff. I sort of look at it like Spatula world not having a variation of a slotted Fish Spatula. Perhaps I will venture in again some day. I can see what the others have said as well. I had to hunt someone down to ask for some help. Great inventory for men and women's clothing and boots but awful inventory for kids' sized clothing and boots. It's 4H season -- meaning kids all over Colorado need button-up shirts, jeans and boots for Fair but this store had only 3 different button-up girls' shirts and those were inly in size small. And their boot selection wasn't any better. The store needs to plan for this and stock accordingly. We ended up at Murdochs which had a better selection. read more

I used to come here when it was just sheplers, and it was consistent for years. I needed some jeans so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a dumpster fire now. No one here speaks English, and they do so in front of customers at the register, gossiping and making negative comments about other employees and being totally unprofessional. I don't suppose it helps that they're all teenagers running the store. The bathroom was disgusting, there was poop in two out of three of the toilets and there was toilet paper all over the floor. I've never felt more out of place in my life. I do not wear cowboy boots or cowboy hats. I don't wear big flashy belt buckles or rhinestone studded shirts. My mom was looking for something for a cowboy themed party. But the fact that this isn't my type of place doesn't take away from the store. I can imagine that this place is really nice for people who wear Western wear. The selection is absolutely HUGE. SO many pairs of cowboy boots. SO many belts, belt buckles, jeans. So many rhinestone studded button down plaid shirts. My mom ultimately decided not to buy anything for her costume here. This is NOT the store for buying one time use things. I really felt that the brands here were good quality. Pretty pricey, but I think you are paying for that good quality. If you are actually into wearing this style of clothes and want good quality, I think this is a great store for you. You can't go wrong with the huge selection. I also don't know what people are saying about bad service. The sales people were constantly asking if we were doing alright and if they could help us. Lines got really long and the staff appropriately called more employees up to help. If anything, I think SOME things were very over priced. read more

There were lots of sales people asking if I needed any help I ended up buying the tall too buckaroo boots. They also sell Mud Jugs which is great for chewing tobacco. They have a good selection of clothes and boots, but their customer service is terrible, employees aren't helpful AT ALL, they don't seem to have any idea about the western lifestyle, and regularly have issues with their computer systems when they can't find my order history. I always think the experience will be better but it always disappoints me. I have spent so much money at this store but am officially done with them after my last experience. So my other half and I have an Two step kind of event we're going to and needed some clothing items to purchase. I must say we asked for Sheplers after seeing the sign off the freeway and got Boot Barn for directions on Google but I was up for the adventure. This location is the best I've ever been too! We've been to a few Boot Barn stores in Arizona but they weren't as impressive as this huge store. It's massive and boy do they have a large selection of everything you could ever need or know you would want. Ok, I'm not a Country/Western style person but I loved the clothing lines for women. Hats, blouses,shirts, jeans ( plain and fancy), belts, Boots! Oh Em Gee, Boots! Haha, I only had a shirt in mind but fell in love with an awesome belt too and was talked into a pair of really nice pair of brown beauties! My man wound up with two shirts, a bolo and a new pair of jeans. I had to talk him into the splurge and the styles there fit every taste and body type. He's a very tall drink of water and was thrilled to find both Tall size shirts and pants. The only negative thing was trying to find someone to open a fitting room for us. The employee's were difficult to find and once we did find one we had to wait a long time for a room to be opened. Even after asking two different people. We both want to come back and pick out more clothing since the styles are in the process of changing for the Spring/Cooler season and I have my eyes on some sweet blouses and a hat. read more

Issue with this location comes from the return experience. Bought the wrong size after work one day in a hurry because I wear a different size in lace-up vs. Pull-on, didn't want to walk through blister valley so I brought them back to exchange for a different pair. No separate lines or anything for returns so I stood in line for 20 minutes. Got to the register and went back to find the right size, it took a few minutes due to them not having the same style in size. Found something that worked for me, basic steel toe western-style work boots. Got to the register, where the cashier was looking over the boots and scanning them. She made a face like she noticed something off but just pushed forward to get the exchange over with ASAP. 2 weeks go by, thought I was imagining something about them fitting different, when the next day there was a ton of snow and the boots finally started to soften and reshape a little. Long story short, SHE SOLD ME A REGULAR BOOT AND A STEEL TOE. Sure I'm an idiot for not realizing earlier, but they were the exact same color and style. I usually work all day too, so I'm not standing around staring at my feet. Ultimately kind of a waste of money, and 2 pairs of boots when you think about it. Could've gone to Good Will and atleast got matching-type boots. read more

Hi guys! So long story short. We had ordered a pair of boots Before Christmas, for Christmas and when we got them they were completely defective. We took them back to our local Boot Barn and reordered them online and didn't receive them till after Christmas. And the next pair was also defective. I called and spoke to two supervisors and when being named Matthew, they were completely rude, there was no follow-through, and worst of all I was made to feel like I was lying! Today I called and spoke with a supervisor by the name of Angela. She was completely helpful, and pathetic, and helped completely rectify the situation. So I would suggest if you call with a return or a problem, ask to speak to an Angela. Because Matthew and the other male supervisor I spoke with were not helpful at all. The sales floor staff was friendly and helpful. The cash register experience was terrible. It took about 15 minutes to buy my stuff. Then, a few days later I had to return some of the items that didn't work and the return took 20 minutes! I blame this on either poor management or poor infrastructure from corporate not allowing for simplified computer system. Also, I witnessed two employees arguing who would claim the commission for the boot sale. I blame this on corporate reward system that drives this behavior. read more

I thought many customer service classes to thousands of people so I am very particular. I can't stand poor customer service and will not shop at a store for over a year if it's bad. I'll drive miles out of my way for good customer service. I have been in this store 3 times in 7 years. Today was one of the best CS experiences I've had in retail. I needed a hat for my son who for some reason has a humongous head. I asked for help and a young lady came out from behind the counter. (I almost had a heart attack) and proceeded to gently but in such a fun way deal with my young kid. She sized him, made sure it wasn't going to slip and taught him how to wear it properly. These people are the worst. I returned a pair of Nocona's and was issued a gift card. I then purchased a pair of Lucchese boots that were defective. When I returned them, the salesgirl told me she processed a FULL refund, and did a separate, new transaction for the third pair. Instead of applying the gift card, they charged me the full price, and then stuck me with a second gift card that I don't need. This was a deliberate move on their part, and I will never be their customer again. I am sending back the gift card. Apparently, they need the money more than I do. read more

I actually witnessed two female employees of boot barn hit on one customer that never bought anything from the store...as I went to check out I was asked if I was helped in making my selection, I said no, and I was told,"well that's to bad"..by the one of the same girls hitting on the "customer"... Now at check out...I had to wait for 20 mins as I had $400 of merchandise I was wanting to buy. That didn't matter to this boot barn.!!! Man trying to make an exchange here was a nightmare and a half. My husband accidentally bought work boots without the steel toe, and I was going to be in the area today so I offered to do the exchange for him. I had the receipt and tags but didn't have his credit card. One of the associates April (the receipt says Michelle though, her name might be Michelle) helped me out and was amazing, but she needed the managers help for the return and he was entirely unhelpful. He was first telling me it wasn't possible to do an exchange without the credit card it was purchased on, then he reluctantly said he could put it on store credit then buy the right boots with the store credit (yes duh that's all I wanted). Then he just kept leaving and going to the back but the associate needed his approvals to put the return / new purchase through. Every time she needed him she had to page him, we'd sit and wait, and then he would emerge looking grumpy and was not being very nice to either me or the sales associate. I'm 9 months pregnant so spending 45 on an exchange was a little taxing, I'm like dude just stay up here so we can get this done already. Just a weird experience overall, I'm glad April/Michelle was at least kind and helpful because the manager was not!! read more
