I have been looking for some new running shoes for my plantar fasciitis and shopped around all of the running shoe stores in the Littleton/highlands ranch/lone tree area. This store was by far the most helpful in terms of selection, knowledge, and the amount of time they were willing to spend answering questions and providing suggestions! I want to specifically mention Gabby because she helped me every time I came in to try on and narrow down what shoes to buy (3-4 times). She was awesome--very attentive and knew so much about not just the shoes but foot support in general. I am not a runner by any means but I am on my feet all day for work, and I found the store to be very accommodating. Finally settled on two pairs that I can rotate around as my feet need more stability. I did get the $2 VIP membership on their website for a better shoe price and shipping cost. We went on Labor Day weekend and they were busy. I don't usually buy my running shoes this way but where else can you try running shoes on a treadmill. More importantly, try DIFFERENT new release running shoes in one place. This place stands out because of their personalized and knowledge service. Though they were busy, they were patient and efficient. I can tell they cared about fitting you with the "perfect" shoes. I walked away certain and confident these shoes were the best for me. I just moved out to Colorado in May and my chiropractor recommended you guys , so I came out here last week and worked with grace . She greeted me when I first came through the door and asked all the right questions . Did the gait test and gave me a pair of custom fit insoles to try and told me I didn't have to buy them if I didn't want to . Gave me about 4 options based of the results . So helpful , I will deff be back . I work at the hospital and on my feet constantly on cement floors . I had bought a pair of brooks and insoles and spent well over $200 combined and they killled my back and heels from Dordanos seemed like they knew what they were talking about . Went along to Road Runner Sports with running buddies. I had ordered from Road Runner Sports years ago and figured why not. Store manager that greeted us seemed super friendly. Nice big inventory of running clothes and all the fun gadgets and accessories. They offered their fit analysis - and figured why not. Was a bit surprised she didn't ask what I liked about my current running shoes or what wasn't working for me. I was surprised they suggested literally ONE pair of shoes to try. When I asked if there were others I could try also, the sales person said that the shoe they recommended is the ONE that will work for me and seemed resistant but relented by bringing two other shoe choices after I requested. Their fit software and watching me walk for about 30 seconds recommended a stability shoe - which I have tried before, but actually caused issues. The salesperson also insisted I needed a custom insole and she seemed very annoyed with me when I said I wasn't interested. I felt very pressured by the insistence for an additional footbed. I've been running for 25 years and have had physical therapists and sports medicine doctors evaluate my gait (as part of other running programs) and they never recommended this for me for my pretty neutral running gait. And honestly, if I'm going to have a custom footbed made (which I have done for skiing), I'm only going to buy from a sports medicine clinic or podiatrist. I did try out the one pair of shoes that they said was "THE" shoe for me plus two other shoes she gave me to try after I asked for more options. None of them were comfortable and when I said that she replied, "that's why we recommend the custom footbed". I'm like, what??? I thought maybe at that point she would ask some follow-up questions about what didn't work and maybe recommend some other options - but nope - salesperson just asked if I was going to buy the shoes she recommended and when I said no these don't work, she said okay and left. I'm very happy for all of the other reviewers that had more positive experiences. But, this buying/selling approach does not work for me - just because the analysis spits out a recommendation based on my shoe size and arch support does not mean that I will actually like the shoe - there are so many other unique factors in various shoes that are not captured by analytics. (I once had a pair of shoes that worked pretty well all around, but the stitching inside the shoe actually rubbed my skin really harshly). And I did end up going back to my locally owned running store where all the salespeople are competitive runners. And, yep, they reviewed my running gait on the treadmill and had an actual conversation about my preferences and asked me all about my running shoe history and what I liked or disliked about specific fits and brands. They brought me out six pairs of shoes to try before I found my perfect Goldilocks pair. read more

I have been wearing the Road Runner socks (old model) for many years so wanted to get new pairs today. Their socks have been my ultimate favorite and wear them every day. As soon as I went in the store, Carson greeted and led me to the socks I was looking for. I liked the fact that he wasn't trying to sell me a pair of shoes or anything, which actually made me want to browse running shoes, and I ended up buying a new pair :) He gave me proper advices and suggestions so I could be confident in the purchase I was making. I absolutely love this store and the staff. They are incredibly friendly and super helpful. I always come in telling them I need a shoe with maximum cushion and they always recommend a few different brands. That ask if I know what type of runner (pronation, supination, neutral) and recommend based on that criteria as well. They also have a treadmill in the store so they can see how I run and also so I can try the shoes on the tread. I always get the insoles because my arches give me problems. In addition to support, the max cushion insoles add cushion to the shoe. Although I'm very proactive in telling them what I'm looking for, they always ask questions to make sure I get the right fit the first time which is awesome. I highly recommend this store. read more

This place is amazing and the staff is great. They know their stuff for sure and can get you into the right shoes and tell you exactly what you need. I just got insoles but even then they were great. The girl that helped me told me what they would do for me and explained every aspect of how my feet lay. I went with my friend another time and they were awesome. They told her everything there was to know about her gait, shoes size, type of fot she needed, everything there was to tell and got her into her perfect shoe. If you have any problems with your feet like plantar fasciitis or tendinitis like me go here and it will be the best thing for you. This company has the slimy business practice of hiding a "VIP membership" on their sales receipts which automatically renews annually for a fee. The sales associates don't bother to tell you this, holding the customer responsible to read the fine print on the back of the sales receipt, which of course nobody ever does. Every single time I have visited, I received immediate service. I came in to buy a pair of sneakers, more or less knowing the brand/type I wanted. I was told by the associate that because I hadn't been there before I'd have to be measured first and that they had a whole process that would take longer than I had (I was hoping to be in and out in 15 mins). I'm not sure why the pushback since I was very much ready to spend my money there and get a pair of sneakers. He explained to me that the whole process was focused on running. I'm not sure if he was insinuating something or just explaining why they would not let me try on the sneaker I wanted to without the whole nine yards. Either way, I know what running sneaker I want. I've always sort of been a runner and decided to embrace my hobby this summer. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to see what all the hype was about. I was immediately greeted by a friendly employee who began asking me questions about my running habits so that he could better assist me. He ended up conducting a running gate for me and was able to sell me on some custom inserts. The process was so cool and I never realized that my feet were not properly supported. I think my favorite part of this experience was that the store employee didn't try to get me to buy unnecessary accessories. Additionally, I ended up signing up for their membership program which provides discounts and the option to return any running item within 30 days if you are unsatisfied. I stopped by the RRS store in Lone Tree on 28 Feb. Jessica helped us immensely. We went in to return a pair of shoes for me we'd bought online. She accepted the shoes without any hassles and recommended three suitable alternates. She checked them all for fit while I tried them on. Jessica also measured my training partner's foot arch and did a gait analysis on her. She honored the sale discount on my shoes and applied it to my replacement shoes. We left the store very satisfied. We also left with two pairs of shoes, six pairs of socks, two pair of sunglasses, and lots of energy gels. Well, here I am, supposed to be one of those expert Yelpers, but missed my bonus discount at this fancy shoe store! Yelp check-ins get you 10% off, and linking a credit card and making a purchase will get you another 10% off at the time of this writing! They have a nice selection of shoes, they will video your stride. As in my case, I have orthotics, so they did a video with and without. We went through some shoes that will be good, but ended up ordering them online as they weren't in stock. They have clothing as well in the store. I think it is a great place if you want to be fitted and don't have a regular brand of shoe. You can try them on the treadmill or walk around the store. They have a club, and if you burn through a lot of shoes, it would be worth it. They also host running and other special events. The girls campfire thing looked fun, but it's on my anniversary! While this store has an impressive array of merchandise, the customer service is lacking. This was my second visit inside a month and I won't be returning. The first time the store was rather busy so I was prepared to wait. When over 12 minutes went by without so much as a greeting or "Hi, we'll be right with you", I left. Who knows how long I'd be waiting. I went again today and there was ONE other customer checking out. Two employees were there that I could tell. The doorbell rings to alert the employees that someone is entering and yet I didn't get so much as a hello. One employee walked back and forth several times, saw me standing there and disappeared into the back, never to return. I waited at least 10 minutes in an empty store before being acknowledged. When I was finally helped they didn't have my size. That wasn't an issue, but the lack of service will have me ordering online from now on and I was pleased to find both models of shoes in the sizes I needed on Zappos for $10 cheaper. read more

I went to the brick and mortar store on May 20, 2018, because I've purchased from RRS online in the past. I was in town, had time, needed new running shoes, and discovered this store was fairly close to my hotel. I had no idea what a full-service experience I was about to have. Matt, my salesperson, first took measurements of my feet and by having me stand on a device that calculated the pressure across the surface of my feet. From that we were able to see how I distribute my body weight on my feet from heel to toe, as well as get an idea of my arch height (which is pretty high as I already knew). Matt then had me briefly jog on a treadmill while a short video clip was shot. From this he was able to determine I have a very straight gait (my toes are in line with my heels) and I neither pronate or supinate. Armed with this information Matt was able to recommend a neutral shoe with a good amount of cushion. He also molded a set of custom insoles which I wasn't obligated to purchase, but he wanted me to try with the shoes we were going to try on. (They cost $75). Matt chose about 5 or 6 shoes for me to try and I landed on a pair of Brooks that felt really good. I'm sure I could have purchased shoes that cost more than the Brooks I ended up buying for $135. However, I never felt Matt had an agenda to sell me anything other than shoes that actually fit my foot. I left the store a good hour later with a new pair of shoes, the custom insoles and some new socks. Matt was a great salesperson, he knew his products and was easy to talk with. I definitely recommend this store to anyone in the area, even if you're just passing through and have an hour or so to do some running shoe shopping. read more

I had such a great experience here. I was an avid runner in high school and early 20's then we signed up for Ragnar and I'm totally in the inexperienced runner category these days. I needed some help finding the right shoes. I'm tall and lanky and my knees get sore pretty easily. I'm always nervous going in somewhere to find a shoe. I've been through so many that never work. Patrick was a freaking all star helping me out. I didn't want to spend a lot of money however, I dropped a pretty penny after leaving with my custom insoles but I HAD to go back for the shoes that I loved most. I was new to running this spring, and Road Runner's awesome staff has been so helpful. They are super patient explaining everything to me about my feet, gait, etc., as well as the way various shoes can address different issues. The 90-day return policy has been a lifesaver--shoes that seemed very comfortable in the store just didn't work once I ran in them a few times, and the staff helped me sort out the problems and find the right shoes without giving me any grief. Thinking a little higher arch might help, I decided to check out Road Runner's extensive analysis of my feet and gait. Turns out my arch is within normal range. Should be easy then, but no. She told me to get any of their shoes to fit well, I'd need to buy their (pricey) custom or semi-custom insoles. Even though I sensed she was upselling me, I decided to give the semi-custom ones a try. Disaster. I've never felt anything so uncomfortable on my feet. So I decided to go to Road Runner because I knew they did the tests to determine the best type of shoe for your feet and training style. Patrick, I believe the store manager, walked me through all of that which took about 10-15 minutes and then gave me 5-6 pairs of shoes that he thought would work best for my feet. He was very friendly, informative, patient, and all around really helpful! I've had the shoes for a few weeks now and they are awesome. However, if you sign up for their VIP membership online, it's only $1.99. We actually signed up thru our smartphones while at the store. The VIP membership gives you about an extra 10 percent off your purchase. Plus, you can try your insoles and shoes for 90 days and return it if it doesn't work out...but with as much time as they spend with you, it probably will work out. read more

Melissa greeted me as I walked through the door, was personable, knowledgeable, and thorough as she explained how to find just the right pair of running shoes. She took the time to have the computer analyze my gait, then prepared custom insoles while explaining that most people do not have the proper insoles in their shoes to support their feet. The insoles were made immediately and we proceeded to try on shoes. I was between sizes and she recommended that we go to the larger size because feet swell as they are used. I bought the insoles, the shoes, and became a VIP member because I could return the shoes within 90 days of wear if I didn't like them. That was a BIG deal to me, as I had been fighting a Morton's Neuroma. It's been 30 days and my feet are still happy! read more
