I just came into this boot barn with my boyfriend primarily for him because he's really been wanting to get into western wear. Josue helped us out and was very nice and attentive with a great attitude. Our experience was great until I decided to just take a look at the women's boots. I don't know the girls name but a small hispanic girl came over to me and asked if I needed help. I told her I'm just looking. She proceeded to look me up and down and tell me that they stretch out boots and that if I'm worried about if my "wide foot" would fit.. they do stretch out boots. Now yes I'm a thicker girl but the fact that she just assumed I have a wide foot and am not going to fit in the boots period pissed me off. She just body shamed me and thought what she was saying was okay and kept going on and on about how they don't make boots for wide feet. This was our first time in boot barn and didn't expect to be body shamed just by looking at boots. My boyfriend was about to drop $400 on shoes and a hat and she ruined that. I'm crying now so thank you for ruining our experience. I think management needs to train the young woman on etiquette because what she said was not okay. read more

Boot Barn really needs to hire better employees! ALL THE WOMEN IN THE STORE ARE RUDE! From the manager Blanca, to the cashier named Cassie (who always has an attitude) Anissa who seemed bothered to be at work. We have been into the store multiple time since it's opened and each and every employee makes us feel like we can't even ask a question. Nobody has customer service skills. This is an over due review but I let it slide. But today 1/2/23 was the last straw. If Cassie isn't gonna have a better attitude she should not be in customer service nor be the first face you see when you walk in! And just because every employee is dressed western does not mean they are good at their job! When customers come into this store they are coming to spend money, why would I spend anymore money in a store with rude employees? I'd rather go to a further location then go to this one 5 mins from my house. read more

My father purchased pants and gloves from a boot barn. He passed away before he could wear them and I came to return them back to hopefully get an exchange done. It has original tags and sku numbers from boot barn on them. While I also told her I had my dads government issued ID, Blanca was rude from the beginning and told me without receipt that she can't accept them. Yet on there return policy it says with a government issued I'd associated with the purchase that it can be done. Terrible customer service and honestly a disappointment that she didn't even seem empathetic towards the situation. Just cold and didn't offer any other solutions. read more

Me and my homies came back from pet smart from being a menace from bullying birds and hamsters and we came in to the store. After we take a look around we were proceeded to be follow bye this older women witch look to be the manager and she was following thinking were wanna steal sum.After we got help bye this really nice young man that help us pick out some boots we were constantly being followed bye her after we just gotten help bye two other employees. I felt like i was being racially discriminated and we quickly wrapped everything up and left the store. read more

I told my friends I was going to boot barn and they warned me that I might not have the best experience with the manager and I decided to go anyways. When I got to the store I was exploring but I quickly found out that I should have listened. The teenage employees were really nice and helpful but the manager gave off a really bad vibe and she was making me feel uncomfortable throughout the whole store. read more

The store was amazing, I walked with a group of homies hoping to buy some fish skinned boots. There was a teenage girl and guy working there who made me feel at home, but once we went to the back to check out the clothing. This lady was following us and racially profiled us (elderly women who seems to be the manager), for young hooligans and thief's. I went to check out a shirt to see if it fit (since I was small) and once I unfolded and folded back she was like "that's now how you fold it" however, I don't work there so how would I know how they wanted folded? She the proceeds to fold the shirt that I tried folding to be nice and she scolds me for "not folding it right". Then after me and my friend went to to try on a jacket (which be bought) and she still followed us even though we told her that everything was ok and we where just checking it things out. We felt very uncomfortable and racially profiled. We couldn't walk around the store without her constantly following use around and watching us as if we were criminals. I didn't feel comfortable looking around and asking questions anymore since she was very rude. I bought a shirt that I really liked, my friend bought a jacket. Today 9/21/23 I visited boot barn in Houston, TX off 290 and was racially profiled by Liliana a sale ICS and Jennifer the ASM. As I was shopping because there supposedly were other black people in the store shop lifting I was being harassed while shopping because they assumed I was with the supposed other black customers. Liliana got on her mic and began to tell the rest of the employees what I had and where I was then the ASM Jennifer started charging at me. I began to walk to the front of the store where the only nice and helpful employee Blanca was. As I was shopping to begin with there was no one around offering assistance to the point where I had to use the metal pole used to grab items from up high to get my own shorts down. Once I gathered my thoughts and calmed my emotions I asked Jennifer who she was and if she was a manger. When I explained to her what happened to me and how it made me uncomfortable she wasn't sympathetic at all she just said I got caught in the cross fire basically because I was black like the supposed shop lifters. This is the first time this has happened to me in my like and was completely unacceptable and I will NEVER shop at this location again! read more
