Went in with a family member and asked if we could use a voucher for another person. The employee explained to us that we couldn't and I simply understood it as that. We didn't say anything else and continued to try on shoes because we were willing to pay full price. But the employee made me feel uncomfortable by being on her work phone next to us and telling the other person on the phone how she took note of our email and was going to call the other boot worlds to inform them. I don't know, but I felt as if she deliberately stood next to us so that we could hear her alerting other stores of us. It made me feel like she thought we were trying to cheat the company. I understand that as an employee, you suspect some customers of abusing coupons/ vouchers. She told us we couldn't use the voucher and we understood and would pay full price, it wasn't a big deal. But I don't feel comfortable that she brought the phone out of the office (?) made a call right next to us, and then returned the phone once she was done with her phone call. I felt a bit dejected and sad after the employee treated us like that, so we decided to leave. Customer service!! Normally I don't review chains like this however-what an awesome experience. My giant BF who is 6"10" and wears size 17 shoes had an unexpected need for new work boots in a hurry. It's the kind of thing he normally has to custom order as you can imagine. We began the frantic search for a place that might have them and ended up at this Boot World location... ...right as they locked the doors to CLOSE! Noooooo! The woman locking up that night noticed us headed towards the door and reopened it for us. We explained that we wouldn't be taking our time, all we needed was to know if the had anything in a size 17?? She did, one pair, and they were perfect. She stayed open to help us and ring us up. So my husband bought me two pairs of Uggs for Christmas here bc it was close to his work. Come Christmas, I try them on and one pair was too big. So, we went here today to get them exchanged to a smaller size. So we came in and a guy with brown hair and a mustache came to help. As soon as I told him I wanted to exchange for a smaller size or get a pair of different ones if they didn't have a size 4, he immediately had an annoyed look on his face. He didn't engage in conversation and when I asked where the children's section was he just goes , "over there" w/o attempting to direct or help me. He then made a big fuss about how the box was ruined (I'm sorry that it was a Christmas present and the wrapping paper was still on it and once removed left areas where the tape was). He then began to scrutinize the shoes and treated the situation like I had worn holes in the shoes even though I had told him I tried it once and realized it was too big. He also made mention that "Uggs are expensive shoes". Yes jerk, I know they're expensive. I have quite a few of them. Don't get me wrong I know he was just "doing his job", but his approach and how he treated me us a customer could have been nicer. He just needed an attitude change as he was just so damn rude. I am a nurse and you may ask what that has to do with anything. But as nurses we get yelled at, shitted on, pissed on, and deal with psych patients almost on a daily basis and I ALWAYS treat my patients and their family members with RESPECT regardless if inside I want to be a bitch. Now was this guy yelled at, shitted on or pissed on? No. I was very courteous at first until I finally couldn't stand his damn attitude. We were refunded 21$ so my husband, as patient and nice as he was but definitely peeved, gave him the 20$ and said "Merry Christmas, that's for the box." I am a man with very small feet and the lady sales rep made comments about what my shoe size should be when I requested certain sizes (I had to get a women's boot because of shoe size but sometimes I can fit in a men's 7 depending on the brand) and she tried to sell me $150 boots that were SCUFFED. She said she could sell me some conditioner to put on them.. umm no lol if I buy an expensive product, it shouldn't have any defects.. I shouldn't have to buy MORE product from the store.. When I requested if they had another pair in the back she said they only carry ONE PAIR PER SIZE in their store. Back in Sept I bought a pair of Wolverines for work. No I do not do anything exciting or extreme. Basic office work, but hey I wanted something sturdy that was going to hold up to 8-5 M-F. I threw down $90+ knowing I was buying shoes that would last me a while. FF to April. The soles across both are cracked all the way through. Not pleased. I went to the store with my box and receipt ready to throw down. *Totally not needed* Deidre saw the box and said, "Oh yes soles, cracked, both pair. Let me exchange those for you right away." My pops was on the market for some comfortable nice looking black leather shoes and this was the second shoe store we ventured into. We were immediately greeted upon entering the store and asked how we could be helped. We were directed to the area where we should be able to find what we were looking for. The store is decent sized and stocked with a good selection from work shoes to various types of boots. The clerk was helpful and attentive but could have been a tad bit more pleasant. My dad did find a suitable shoe and it was even on sale which was a plus. The clerk even helped me use their gait assessment scale and explained the result and the corresponding orthotic insole that would greatly improve the overall health and wellbeing of my feet. So finally after a year of working in restaurants/food industry, I decided to invest in some worthwhile proper non slip footwear! So glad I came here! PARKING: I came on my day off on a Wednesday, right around lunchtime soooo no issues! Lots of compact spaces just fyi SERVICE: I was helped by John [Jon?]. He was EXTREMELY HELPFUL! He brought out different sizes, brands, for me to try on to make sure I got the perfect fit. He also suggested these insoles that make you walk properly and are good for flat footed people. They were perfect for me since I have a mild case of cerebral palsy which affects the muscle control in my legs. I walk with a very heavy step and put pressure on my toes rather than my heels. After placing them in the shoes and walking around, I could definitely notice a huge difference. He was fun to talk to and made the experience great! I ended up getting some Klogs. A bit pricey but decided to invest in them and am hoping they will last! I wore them for the first day today and haha since I used muscles I'm not used to using, my legs and feet were a little sore. Since just walking around in them is different than standing for an entire day, I found that the shoes irritated my toes a bit. John told me they can get your shoes adjusted to fit the form of your feet. So I'll be going back soon to see what they can do! Lost my business. I attempted to exchange a pair of Timberlands work boots I purchased seven months ago because the sole on one boot has a three inch crack. Other than the crack the boots are like new. The sales women said the boots were worn out and there was no guarantee, after I protested she rudely offered a 50% credit. No thanks! One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I bought a pair of Timberland Pros almost a month ago and they kept giving me blisters on my heels. Super painful and was getting in the way of my work. I took them back in and from the second I walked through the door the employees were all over helping my feet get comfortable. They traded out my size 10's for 10.5's and told me if they still aren't comfortable to bring them back. I can't remember the girls name who helped me but I know that she was in the Navy and that her name starts with an O. Instead of breathing down our neck, or completely ignoring us, ericka gave us space to look around, but was still always close enough to answer questions and retrieve boots to try on. This store had such strong covid 19 protections walking in, limited capacity they actually enforce, hand sanitizer and temp checks on arrival, which made it easier feeling okay trying on shoes and touching merchandise. We stopped by on our way home home instead of heading to REI. We parked after a long day filled with drama. We looked around and after seeing tons of uggs we kept looking. We didn't find what we came for (Hunter Rain Boots) for me but I found some $90 ugg slippers I could not live without, my man found 2 pairs of Work shoes ( which is rare) and I saw 2 more pairs of Uggs I had to have. We were in there for 2 minutes before a security guard came in, asked if anyone saw people enter in the past minutes, asked the sales associate if she saw who left the black car.. like a criminal, I responded the black Lexus?? Yes he said.. your double parked... needless to say after 2 minutes and just walking in I felt like I had done something wrong.. holy shit, I parked in between two lines, sorry. I spend just about every moment, that I'm not working, in slippas or golf shoes. So, needless to say I'm rarely in shoes and much less boots, but recently they've become mandatory while at work. I work at Costco where we employees have very high standards for customer service and can easily recognize good and bad service, and lately, it's been really hard to find good customer service in the world today. So when you find a store that is exceptional, we use the tools (yelp) that you have, to share your experiences and guide others to good people. In addition, transitioning to steal toe shoes or boots is a tall order when needing a comfortable shoe is so important because we're standing on concrete for eight+ hours a day. A few years back I was required to buy steel toe shoes once I became forklift driver and had a good basic experience at boot world. But since I didn't do a lot of shopping for shoes, and they weren't something that I was going to wear all the time, it wasn't that big of a deal to me. I still found a good pair of shoes and the customer service was above par. Recently, Costco has required a majority of its employees to wear steel toe or safety toe shoes for most of the eight+ hours that we're standing on that hard concrete, so finding a good quality pair of shoes is crucial. I returned to Boot World because I had remembered the good customer service and this time they knocked my socks off. There was a innocent misunderstanding with the sizing. And for guys like me, with big poly paws, finding quality wide boots/shoes is a tall order. Boot World spent as much time as I needed trying on just about every boot and shoe that was available in a wide in my size until I found the shoe that fit the best. With all the shoes I was trying on, I must have picked up the wrong box and taken it up to the register and checked out. The next day I wore the boots to work and found that they were a little bit smaller than I remembered trying on and thought to myself that "these were going to be harder to break in then I thought." When I got home I noticed that I had walked out with the wrong boot and had worn that boot that WASN'T a "wide" all day long. I immediately called the store to speak with the sales associate that had helped me out. Without skipping a beat the person that answered the phone "jump on the grenade" before he even knew who had thrown it and owned the problem and was happy to resolve it with no questions asked and with nothing but the desire to make me happy as a customer in his voice. He quickly gave me several options, from returning the boots for a full refund because of the misunderstanding, to stretching the boots to fit my foot to my comfort, and even offering to special order me in the shoe that I expected to leave the store with. I can go on and on about the customer service and how it far exceeded any that I've experienced in the recent past. I just want you all to know that if you're looking for quality boots with great personal service, outstanding knowledge and the peace of mind that this company is going to be around because of their return business and specifically because of guys like Justin, the person that answered the phone and didn't stop till I was a "HAPPY CUSTOMER". Boot World is the place to spend your money. They will do what it takes to find the shoe to fit your needs. My son went into boot World today to replace his work boots that he had previously purchased from them. My son wanted the same kind he had been wearing and was using a voucher from his company. The person helping him looked up the company's list she told my son she couldn't sell him the brand he wanted because the list had N/A on it for the type he had previously purchased. My son preceded to explain he purchased this style before from this exact store. The salesperson looked up his record and he had purchased this type of shoe before. The salesperson refused to sell the shoes to my son. Come to find out the salesperson was the manager. I even explain to the manager that everyone at my sons job including himself wore the timberland brand and that it is the safest brand they have ever worn. When my son asked for other styles the manager brought out a pair of sketchers. Sketchers can not provide the safety and comfort that a machinist needs. I told my son to return to Solar and advise his co workers that boot World doesn't honor the voucher for the type of shoes they need. My son was the customer and he should have received the shoes he wanted he knows what he needs in the climate he works not a salesperson from boot World. I was very disappointed in the service and will insure others are aware not to waste their time coming here. My son had just finished a 12 hour shift and just wanted to run in and get his boots replaced not deal with a unhelpful salesperson. read more

Walked in needing a new pair of boots for work and riding. Looked at the shelves and saw a wide variety of brands. Tia asked if I needed any assistance. She helped me with two different brands. The first only came in brown, but the second came in both brown and black. The factory insole, I mentioned to her, on the second brand was not quite as comfortable as the first. She very quickly switched them out for an aftermarket insole for me to try. It made all the difference! Tia was kind, helpful and friendly. She got me the level of comfort, security/safety, and look I needed in a new pair of work/riding boots. Today, my husband & I went here to buy us both a pair of Ugg boots. Right away we both found a pair of boots we liked & asked to try them on. We each had our own sales women helping us. The sales woman helping my husband said, "Uggs should be bought a size smaller than you normally wear as they grow with your feet." So, she gave him a pair in his size, and also one size smaller to try on. As he is slipping his foot into the larger size, the same sales woman states, "Uggs are a delicate boot." I'm thinking, what??? My hubby has had a pair of Uggs before & they lasted for years until they just wore out. Next, he tries on the smaller size per her suggestion & the seam along the back of the boot pulled apart. He takes off the boot & calls her attention to the problem with the seam. She says, "Well, what did you do? It wasn't like that a minute ago. I think you did that on purpose!" I was floored that this sales person would even respond with such a poor attitude towards a customer! She could have easily have said something else less negative, such as: whoops, here try on another pair. Meanwhile, the sales woman helping me honestly said the boot I was trying (not a Ugg but a Sundawg?) had issues from production & were often returned. I decided to pass & thanked her. Came to Convoy BOOT WORLD this morning at 9 o'clock it's now 11 30 AM. Tried on a bunch of Work Boots but had issue with one of the boots do to RX, orthotics.. After being there for two and half hours trying on boots for work they gave me an insert that would work fine but they wanted to charge me for it. I asked the manager after being here two and half hours and trying on all these work boots patiently while they were working with other customers, if she would give me half off the insert because it worked well with the boot in question and she said no! You know after putting up with their BS for two and a half hours you would think the manager would have said ok half off on the Insert to keep us coming back and so that we would refer them to other people in the future.. but I guess she couldn't see that. I needed to purchase new work boots, as my previous ones were over two years old. Ian did a fantastic job of helping me narrow down which shoes would be a good choice for me. I'm female, but I prefer men's fit and style, and he made no judgement at all, which I really appreciated. He was upbeat and obviously happy to be there helping, grabbing shoes that I hadn't even really considered, and was very clear on which shoes they had in stock that were in my size, as well as pulling multiple sizes on styles I like, so I could make sure I received the best possible fit. When all was said and done, I must have spent a good hour there looking for the perfect fit. I found exactly what I was looking for, in the perfect size, and the price was exactly within the budget that I had specified. Overall, it was a great experience.
