We have been just passing it but finally I experienced the closes taste of seafood but it's a delicious boil fish. I have been allergic to sea shellfish and this is the closes i can dream of lol. Excellent traditional Wisconsin Door County Fish Boil (ask Uncle Google). Fish was done perfect, boiled potatoes, sweet onion and carrots. Service was very quick, with a smile. Definitely going back often. read more

The food was sub par. They don't have much seating. We happened to go there when a large party was there celebrating something. They were loud drunk and very boisterous. I know that doesn't happen all the time and it wasn't the restaurants fault but if they had more seating that would've taken care of them. The waitress was Laci daisy. I had to go looking for her. He ordered the fish boil, and I had the fish boil with chicken. The fish was overcooked (dry) and tasteless. The chicken breast was completely dried out without any taste. People in other reviews raved about the buttery soft onions - not cooked enough. The included dessert - I had the cherry square, he the apple - also not very good. My husband and I went there, food was not good , table was sticky . I ordered chicken wings my husband had the same thing. Service was slow . The chicken wings were dry and with the bbq sauce it was messy . My husband asked for napkins and they gave him a moist towelette and when my husband opened it the towelette was dry so we asked the waitress for another one and the waitress was arguing about the towelette being dry. If you're looking for the best Italian beef in the area, look no further. Everything at Fire Pitt is excellent but here are some of my favorites: - the Italian beef with mozzarella cheese and hot and sweet peppers. This is a huge broiled sandwich loaded with meat and cheese. Can easily serve two. - French onion soup is flavorful and smothered in cheese. - fish boil plus chicken is another go to. The chicken falls off the bone and the fish is so flavorful. If you haven't tried their fish boil this is a must! - burgers! Their burgers are huge and they have all sorts of great toppings. - pizza! The sauce is so flavorful and crust is delicious. This is one of my husbands favorite pizzas. - waffle fries with pulled pork appetizers - these have a different name on the menu but they are delicious! This is a cool spot, very welcoming and down to earth. We came in the beginning of the week, and turns out there is line dancing weekly. It was fun to watch, as they do sort of lesson at first and people were really dressed up for it. The ambiance is not fancy, very chill and down home feel. I was expecting the food to be like total, tropical bar food. It was better than that, so that was neat. The made a pretty decent cocktail as well, I'd be happy to come back for another drink! If I had one criticism, I think it was silly I wasn't able to have chicken taco (she was very clear that I could not do that). It was confusing, as they have chicken in other dishes. Flexible kitchen is appealing to me, so sadly, that's my only negative remark. On the other side of the restaurant is an ice cream shop called the icebox. My son couldn't stop talking about his blue moon, and so we revisited today. The owner was so friendly, and made me like this place so much more. You can tell there's lots of love here, and that's important. He also let me know they have all kind of fun events other than line dancing, like kids sip and paint, and all sorts of other fun things. This place has a lot to offer, but does not always deliver on quality. I've been there a few times for their fish boil and it's pretty good. Their sandwiches could use a little more flavor. My older kids say that place has made them a little nauseous sometimes and won't go if I ask. Safest to order a hamburger done medium well. Overall, it's OK. read more

The food is amazing here, on Thursdays the fish fry is amazing. The service is also great with many different amazing servers. Being going there for a couple years was always happy with the food and service but the last three times we have noticed going down in service and food. We went there for Valentine's weekend and it took 45 minutes to get our appetizers. My experience was terrible. I ordered a steak sandwich and literally got a piece of steak on bread no condiments nothing. One of my pet peeves is returning to a restaurant I've enjoyed in the past only to find that they're cutting corners. Previously, we've enjoyed the fish boil here. Everything was delicious and you could go back for seconds. Well, this time we were limited to just one trip. No seconds. The fish boil was to die for, served with boiled potatoes, onions, carrots, butter, rye bread, cole slaw & an apple or cherry crisp dessert. My companions had the pulled pork which is served with 4 types of BBQ sauce. Also amazing. Before leaving we got ice cream to go at the Ice Box next door. Great food. Had the Cajun heatwave burger, not too spicy, just the right amount of heat. And of course had to try the Poutine, cheese instead of gravy but that was ok, because it was delicious! My boyfriend took me on a date for a fishbowl at this restaurant. We decided to partake of the buffet. It had more than enough food to satisfy our craving for fish. I have never been to a fish boil. Fish Fry's are very common on Friday nights in either WI or IL, during lent. The service when we went was a little slow. I had to actually find the waitress to take our order, once we were seated. This was unfortunate since it was my first time there. That was my only negative comment, thus the 4 star rating, instead of a 5. The prices were reasonable. The only recommendation I would make is not to add the extra butter onto the fish. The fish already had butter on it, and the extra butter is just too much. It is easier to get the extra butter on the side so that you can add as much as you want. The drinks were good, along with the atmosphere in the bar area. It is a nice family establishment.
