The setup is easy to navigate and the concept is unique. Blending pastries, coffee, cakes, cooking products, wine, breakfast, lunch and dinner into one space is magnificent. I loved my intimate dine in session ordering the avocado toast on sourdough bread with an over hard egg and an orange hot tea. It was the perfect blend and was the best avocado toast I ever had. My belly was far too full after brunch so I went to the bakery side after and bought a chocolate raspberry muffin (also the best muffin I've ever had), chocolate chip cookies (darn near ate them all in one setting) and poppyseed thumbprint cookies with a raspberry filling (jaw dropping). A couple of Mondays ago, I stopped in Fargo to run a few final errands before crossing over the border to return to Winnipeg. I wanted my last drink from Caribou Coffee. I did a search and found this one close by. This cafe is in a plaza. My map app got me to the wrong part of the plaza. She asked me if I had a Caribou account. I did and rattled off my phone number. She found me and asked what I'd like to order. I saw a sugar-free passionfruit yuzu sparkling energy drink on the menu that I had never had. I went with it and got a large. At a quick glance, I noticed that this cafe had Milk cookies. I got a cornflake chocolate chip marshmallow cookie. When I pulled up to the window, I tapped my credit card to pay for my items. It didn't take long for my drink to be made. I also got my cookie. I thanked the woman and made my way northbound. It was a nice sendoff getting my 'bou fix. The energy drink helped me get to Winnipeg without needed a nap. The passionfruit flavour was a bit stronger than the yuzu. I frankly would have liked it reversed. The flavour seemed off, as if they shouldn't be paired together. I personally find hand dryers, not a great source of drying hands, especially when not all people wash their hands. I don't like touching flip handles to shut off after I have washed my hands. Does Randy's think people want butter only in the very middle of their toast? It would be nice to have the butter spread across the entire piece of toast. One person in our group ordered bacon well done. Well-done bacon should be crisp, not limp. These are small details, but they really shouldn't be difficult to get right. On the positive side, our server was friendly and did a good job. One of our orders was incorrect, but she quickly corrected it and brought out the right meal. Hopefully, this was simply a bad day for Randy's and not a sign of a decline in quality. We've enjoyed coming here for years, which is why this visit was particularly disappointing.
