There were clean bathrooms. There was also a creek and pond with ducks and turtles. There were very large open grass areas as well as large covered areas with plenty of tables. There's a bike and walking path too. We visited here and the library which is in the same area. We would love to go back when time permits. Oh and there's plenty of parking all around the park. I could see it getting busy with a big party of even though.

Doggie poop bags available so, no excuse for not picking-up after your hooch. Bathrooms are relatively clean and are well maintained and stocked with hand soap. No golfing is allowed. I think the large open area has attracted golfers to 'hit some balls', but, too many kiddos and homes around. I'm rating 4 stars because of the lack of trees. We hiked out to Paradise Falls, and while the view from a distance had me thinking, "That's it?"... once you get closer, it's actually beautiful. The weather was in the 80s, with the cool breeze made the hike so much more enjoyable (especially on the steeper parts). My pup had the best time too! I would've loved to let him run free, but this isn't an off-leash park. What I really loved is that there are so many different trails. Whether you're in the mood for a quick walk, a jog, or a longer hike, you'll find a route that fits. There were lots of people out enjoying the scenery, and the nearby town has plenty of cute spots to grab a bite afterward. It was such a fun outing. I would totally do it again!

Lovely trail in a residential area in the city of Newbury Park…read more The trail is easy and with a good uphill trek to get your lungs and heart beating. The trail is accessible via Rosewood Trail. The trail is narrow and you might occasionally see Mountain Bikers so be careful and aware of them. The total miles hiked were 3.3 miles. Highlight of the hike was the spectacular view. At the Peak you will find a nice bench for a picnic and a few benches to sit and soak in the sun and the views.

On a weekend, don't expect to get a parking spot between 8-11am, the lot fills up fast. I noticed a few locals walking to the courts and leaving the car at home. Apparently Tierra Rejada Park is Pickleball central for Moorpark. Older park but very well maintained.

We recently rented Pavilion A at Oak Canyon Community Park for our daughter's 4th birthday splash…read moreparty, specifically because of its proximity to the splash pad. The park itself is beautiful and clean, which is why we felt confident booking it for such an important celebration. Unfortunately, shortly after our event began, the splash pad stopped working and remained off for the duration of our rental. This was the main activity for approximately 20 children in attendance. While a park ranger attempted to assist, there was ultimately no resolution. What was especially disappointing was the lack of urgency and care from park staff. There was no real apology or effort to make the situation right. We had to go through hoops just to get someone on the phone, which was frustrating in the middle of hosting a children's party. If pavilions are being rented out for private events, you would expect someone to be readily available to assist renters when issues arise. Additionally, we were told at booking that Pavilion B was already reserved and that inflatables were only permitted in that space. However, Pavilion B remained empty the entire time. Had we known, we would have booked that pavilion or adjusted our plans to include a bounce house to make up for the loss of the splash pad. While the park grounds are well maintained, the lack of communication, unavailable amenity, and absence of real-time support made what should have been a joyful day unnecessarily stressful. I hope improvements are made so other families do not have a similar experience.

Oak Canyon is a gem in my neighboring city of Oak Park. It's my go to for trail running or a walk…read morethrough nature. It's a perfect place to relax while enjoying the landscaping. Check it out.
