We parked in the lot by Barnes & Noble and walked over. The interior of the restaurant was super cute, and I loved the tall ceiling. There was plenty of seating and I liked the open kitchen. I've always enjoyed watching kitchen staff work their magic while preparing our dishes. We were greeted and seated promptly. I already had an idea of what I wanted to order, and so did my husband. We were here strictly for the ramen, but there are also rice bowls and sushi if ramen isn't your thing. I went with the mega pork ramen and added black garlic oil, while my husband went with the tan tan men. While we waited, we watched as several other parties also arrived for a late dinner. Even though there was only one server, she was quite efficient. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive, and we were eager to dig in. We asked for chili powder on the side, which our server was a little confused about, but finally understood and brought us some in a little dish. I was a little surprised they didn't have the powder at each table like at other ramen restaurants I've been to. I immediately noticed the layer of oil (not the black garlic oil, the red oil) on top of both of our ramen. It was thicker than I would have liked, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and mixed it in with the rest of the broth. The flavor of the broth was fine. It was decent if this was your first experience with ramen, but as someone who has had plenty of top tier ramen spots in the Bay Area and Sacramento, the broth wasn't memorable. Honestly, the layer of oil was also what threw the balance off. The noodles were bouncy and chewy, and the meat was tender. My favorite cut was the pulled pork chashu. The egg was yolky but not as seasoned as a proper ajitama should have been. My husband had similar remarks about his tan tan men, but at least we agreed that both of our bowls, while not spectacular, were consistent and cohesive as dishes. Ramen Legend, to us, seemed like the kind of spot that attracts patrons due to its centralized location, but it was definitely not the best ramen I've had.

It was so sour that it almost tasted spoiled. I would not recommend the kimchi ramen. The interior is refreshed and more comfortable than it used to be. It's quiet enough to have a conversation but there is nice music for vibes. I was here with a friend and we ordered mostly small plates to sample and everything was fantastic. No misses at all. Cocktails were excellent as well. They are on the small side but tasted wonderful and packed a punch. Service was very good and the timing of everything that came out was spot on. The only weird thing was when I wanted to pay cash, the server came back to our table with his personal wallet to make change, which he couldn't and I ended up having to use my card. Not a big deal but very weird for a restaurant to not have cash to make change. If there was something that said electronic payment only, I guess I missed it. Anyhow, over all it was a very good experience and this place still slaps. I can't wait to go back with my SO.

I was excited to try the grilled octopus it was great! I wish is had a little more chae from the grill on it but the flavors were brilliant. It was quite large so I unfortunately didn't finish it. Everyone loved the salsas they brought out first and the chips were warm, but crispy and salted perfectly. My coworkers got various dishes like the carnitas, chili colorado, sugar cane filet and they all highly enjoyed their dishes. Everyone said they would come back and are eager to try some other menu items. At the end we got a Butter cake to share and it was scrumptious! Highly recommend trying it

Drinks sat empty for 10+ minutes. Maybe it was just a case of the Monday's. Pretty disappointing from a best of state... 1. Had to ask for silver ware and napkin after 10 minutes of sitting. 2. Had to ask for tortillas when main entree came out, didn't realize I was missing rice and beans too that came 15 min later after I asked if they had any other salsa... 3. No explanation of the dish that was dropped off or how to eat or what it is. Just very much like here you go and good luck have to ask for everything. 4. Had to ask for drink refills after being empty and clearly lots of staff just standing there talking to each other. Usually I'm asked if I would like another one which I would have happily of ordered more but again no care was given. 5. Prob one of the worst service experiences I've had at a so called 5 star place. Might be a management issue Monday at 6pm
