I felt trapped in this hotel. Even as a guest in the hotel, you have to pay a $10 parking fee per car, every time you leave the parking lot or garage. They had a jitney but good luck getting on to it. It was either packed or took too long to get around. There are food options in this hotel. The buffet was not good. The rooms were decent. I feel like it was a mid hotel trying to be a luxury resort. We went to the borgata pool, it was nice but surrounded by parking garages. This place is more expensive and less nice than luxury hotels in Vegas. read more

First of all, stayed here 10 years ago and it was great, but now? Dated and unimpressive. I asked for robes during our stay for 2 nights in June and they said it wasn't possible due to our room level. We were paying $550 a night. So what did we get for that sum? Beat up mismatched nightstands and other cheap furniture, dust layering the furniture legs , and replaced by cheap fixtures which proclaimed the name Waterworks faucets in the old tiled out of date bathroom. I mostly loved my stay. We were in a suite which was nice except it was a smoking room. The suite had a entry area, a comfy king bed, sitting area with TV and an amazing bathroom. A mini fridge and coffee maker were also in room. However there were no coffee cups or tea bags. Not every one drinks coffee The view was cool with the water and boat dock plus the neon of the other casinos. The indoor pool area was also nice. Plenty of seating was available, the water was a nice temperature and it was clean. The outdoor area was relaxing with lounge chairs. It was like being in an Italian garden. Restaurant food is good. People are not friendly in the hotel. Morgan at the rewards guest counter was about as unfriendly as one could be. I asked her several times about each issue without a straight answer and God forbid...no smile, just as we we were a pain in her side. Came here to see Halsey... This place is basically a large conference room. Her show was standing room only. There were General admission $89 tickets and then VIP Pitt tickets $120ish The VIP Pitt ticket holders were able to stand in front on stage while the Rest were behind the VIP Pitt area. That kinda sucked for them. Luckily I had VIP Pitt tickets. I had really great views of the show except when everyone was holding up their phones to videotApe lol. If you're short- it could suck lol. Came here for a Joe Rogan comedy show. It's a stage with half open floor, and half stadium seating. They placed individual chairs on the floor for extra seating. Not overcrowded at all. The sound was not horrible, and the speakers were loud enough to hear. Two big sized TV monitors were displayed, and the camera followed the comedians so you can have a better view of the show from afar. The passageways were wide enough for people to exit in case of an emergency, and there were plenty of ushers and bouncers for security. An outside bar was located right at the entrance of the theater so you do not have to go hunting for drinks. read more

This is a nice intimate venue to see a favorite artist - it has enough space and if you are up front - you have a great view of the artist performing. The seating is not great - conference room chairs that are linked together. It doesn't leave a lot of room to move around if the event is sold out. The sound quality of the venue is great, but I did have good seats upfront. The one note I wish they could address is the way the venue empties out - it is chaotic and causes a bit of a traffic jam as everyone is headed to the one way out. read more

I went to see Sebastian Maniscalco. I bought tickets for a group of 8 friends for my birthday. The chairs were scrunched in like sardines and very uncomfortable. It was completely unorganized and chaos while entering, leaving and going to the restrooms. The show itself was not his best. It seemed like he was trying out new material on a crowd that paid full price for tickets. It was a mediocre show in a horrible venue. Very disappointed. read more

This is a great place to see concerts at. The venue is small, so any spot is a good spot. They serve drinks and have a very nice bathroom! However, the organization skills and the staff need improvement. I went to see Lana Del Rey and it was a crazy, unorganized event. We got there at 10am (the concert started at 8) and they would't let us line up. The main lady was screaming at people, threatening to cut off wristbands, and telling people to keep walking. She was rude, and inconsiderate. I was with my two underage cousins, so we couldn't go on the casino floor. We ate lunch at their buffet, inquired about a room, and shopped around. We got bored and just decided to wait for the line to start at 3:30pm. She made security guards kick us out. Once 3:30pm came, a mob started. People were being pushed and shoved and no one could get up the stairs because they wouldn't let people up them. Why wouldn't they let people up? Because the people in the front of the line were being pushed by the people in the back of the line. Makes sense, huh? Then as your being allowed up she is shoving people and screaming in their faces. Once the main guy came upstairs he got THE WHOLE CROWD under control!! I wish I knew his name because he, with the help of the security, organized everything. It was so nice once he organized it. That woman should not have that position because she made the whole thing worse. I wish I knew her name because I would call and complain. Borgata - Music Venues Near Me - Atlantic City, New Jersey

The Event Center gets some pretty big name acts. In the summer of 2015 alone, Jerry Seinfeld, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Santana and Rob Thomas are just a few of the top notch acts to cross the stage. The venue set up will vary by event. I believe the bleachers are always available, but sometimes the floor will be GA instead of seated. The seats they use on the floor are kind of awful. They are just like something you would get at a conference. They are tiny, close together and not comfortable. The GA shows are great. At least in the past, you can get up close and personal to the stage. Pro tip: they actually won't let you wait outside the venue in advance of the show. You can line up once they open the event center and start letting you go up the escalators. Speaking of the escalators, they don't check your ticket until you get to the upstairs doors of the venue. Once you go upstairs, you aren't stuck there, and can go up and down to your heart's desire. This might be handy in finding a less crowded restroom elsewhere in the Borgata. Drinks are tiny and overpriced. The beer selection is limited to several domestics. There are a few basic reds, whites and well liquors. Pro tip #2: you can bring your drink from elsewhere in Borgata. You'll just have to put it in a plastic cup at the bottom of the escalator before you go up. If you aren't in a rush at the end of your show, hold back a little bit before exiting. A cattle shoot is probably the best way to describe the venture back down the escalator immediately after a show. This isn't the type of venue that you should visit because you want to see a show in the Event Center. A good reason to visit the Event Center is because you have a specific act you would like to see. They have some good ones though so it's worth keeping tabs on the schedule. read more

I should've read the reviews before purchasing tickets for the event. I came here to see a show, which was very good. But, the seats here are just horrible. First of all it's just a bunch of regular chairs that you're sitting on. Second of all, this wasn't the stadium seating arrangement. So based on where you're sitting, you won't be able to see the main stage. Though you have a huge screen, where you can see the performer. It kind of felt like sitting in the movie theater 30 years ago. I could've just bought the DVD and watch the show at home. Driving here for almost 3 hours, then sitting on these crappy chairs without any armrests. Wtf? Come on borgata. Your revenue has been climbing way up over the past couple of years. This is a great concert venue. Not huge like an arena but a lot more intimate. Wasn't a fan of the floor seats I had a low riser seat and it was perfect. The floor seats didn't define your personal space like the low riser seats did. Great view, perfect for pictures and videos. The ushers were well informed and very polite. They were very helpful and polite. This was my first time at this venue and I'll certainly be back. They have amazing concerts, parking was free and the casino adds a lot of perks to your visit. Dinner before the concert is easy. They have something for every palate, mood and budget. I purchased my ticket online with no hassle. Opted for the will call ticket option and found they had plenty of staff on duty in addition to kiosks that could print your ticket. Highly recommend this venue it has a lot to offer. read more

This past Friday I attended my first concert here - Joe Bonamassa. He was tremendous, but the venue is a serious drawback and I probably will not go back. The acoustics were beyond atrocious. Sound was rattling and echoing. Could not hear the backup singers in most instances - that could also be a fault of the mixing, to be fair. I paid top dollar for a seat in the numbered section (400). Mistake - those first 19 rows before the dividing horizontal aisle are on a flat floor (i.e. not raked), so if you are behind someone taller than you (as I was), you miss a lot visually. The section behind the horizontal dividing aisle is on risers. The chairs are basically banquet seats. The backs do recline slightly, but you are packed in like sardines. Here is what I don't understand. So much has been written about the need for casinos to reinvent themselves as family entertainment destinations if they are to survive. With the amount of money spent on opulent interiors and furnishings, it confounds me that they use a banquet hall space to bring in top-tier entertainment and charge accordingly. This is not wise. They should create a dedicated concert space with appropriate seating, baffling materials and basic acoustics so that a performance can actually be enjoyed. read more

I'm not terribly impressed, but it is not a bad venue for smaller shows. The seats are not terribly great, and there is a poor incline, so it's bad if someone tall sits in front of you. Also they are poorly numbered, so you have to actually count seats in order to figure out where your seat is. The views on the sides are not so good, but still visible. Came here on 10/19 to see Bill Burr. Getting into the event center wasn't much of a problem. The staff was very nice and helpful. From what I could see there were 1 or 2 bars and as more people starting coming in, it started to feel more and more crowded. The actual event center was nice - nothing special. Just an extra large conference room really. There was SOME stadium-type seating, but it was towards the back of the room. The seats closer to the stage were just regular cushioned seats dining room chairs. They were arranged so close to one another that when actual people sat down in their seats, you were on top of each other. I had to sit an angle so I wouldn't be sitting on top of the gentleman beside me. If you're of a larger stature, I would try to get a seat on the end. Biggest downside is that there was only one escalator going up and one escalator going down and a staircase so trying to leave the venue was a little rough. That would be my only complaint. Other than that Bill Burr was hysterical as always - I just probably wouldn't come back to this venue specifically. read more

Great awesome performance by Jerry Seinfeld but the event center itself is third rate all the way. The staff is clueless, we were sitting on folding chairs with paper tags on the sides to identify the aisle, I think you can picture the chaos. It reminded me of an elementary school auditorium. On the way out its like a funnel going toward the escalator with employees repeating over and over, keep moving, keep moving folks, lets go, keep it moving, duh, no kidding, I was thinking maybe I would just stand still for a few hours and stare at the ceiling, good thing you were there to tell us to keep moving. The Borgata is supposed to be this great property and they have this awful venue. Like I said the show was amazing, just to bad it was there. Go if you have to but if you can avoid this dump. read more
