Perfect tub for a book and wine

I mostly loved my stay. We were in a suite which was nice except it was a smoking room. The suite had a entry area, a comfy king bed, sitting area with TV and an amazing bathroom. A mini fridge and coffee maker were also in room. However there were no coffee cups or tea bags. Not every one drinks coffee The view was cool with the water and boat dock plus the neon of the other casinos. The indoor pool area was also nice. Plenty of seating was available, the water was a nice temperature and it was clean. The outdoor area was relaxing with lounge chairs. It was like being in an Italian garden. I like the vibe at both the Borgata and the Water Club

Came here to see Halsey... This place is basically a large conference room. Her show was standing room only. There were General admission $89 tickets and then VIP Pitt tickets $120ish The VIP Pitt ticket holders were able to stand in front on stage while the Rest were behind the VIP Pitt area. That kinda sucked for them. Luckily I had VIP Pitt tickets. I had really great views of the show except when everyone was holding up their phones to videotApe lol. If you're short- it could suck lol. There were two bars to grab a drink. Merch Stand outside in the hallway . Chaotic after show .better to buy before show. Plus - is it's a more intimate venue versus a stadium Con- standing only . Being comfortable shoes

Came here for a Joe Rogan comedy show. It's a stage with half open floor, and half stadium seating. They placed individual chairs on the floor for extra seating. Not overcrowded at all. The sound was not horrible, and the speakers were loud enough to hear. Two big sized TV monitors were displayed, and the camera followed the comedians so you can have a better view of the show from afar. The passageways were wide enough for people to exit in case of an emergency, and there were plenty of ushers and bouncers for security. An outside bar was located right at the entrance of the theater so you do not have to go hunting for drinks.

This is a nice intimate venue to see a favorite artist - it has enough space and if you are up front - you have a great view of the artist performing. The seating is not great - conference room chairs that are linked together. It doesn't leave a lot of room to move around if the event is sold out. The sound quality of the venue is great, but I did have good seats upfront. The one note I wish they could address is the way the venue empties out - it is chaotic and causes a bit of a traffic jam as everyone is headed to the one way out.

This is a great place to see concerts at. The venue is small, so any spot is a good spot. They serve drinks and have a very nice bathroom! However, the organization skills and the staff need improvement. I went to see Lana Del Rey and it was a crazy, unorganized event. We got there at 10am (the concert started at 8) and they would't let us line up. The main lady was screaming at people, threatening to cut off wristbands, and telling people to keep walking. She was rude, and inconsiderate. I was with my two underage cousins, so we couldn't go on the casino floor. We ate lunch at their buffet, inquired about a room, and shopped around. We got bored and just decided to wait for the line to start at 3:30pm. She made security guards kick us out. Once 3:30pm came, a mob started. People were being pushed and shoved and no one could get up the stairs because they wouldn't let people up them. Why wouldn't they let people up? Because the people in the front of the line were being pushed by the people in the back of the line. Makes sense, huh? Then as your being allowed up she is shoving people and screaming in their faces. Once the main guy came upstairs he got THE WHOLE CROWD under control!! I wish I knew his name because he, with the help of the security, organized everything. It was so nice once he organized it. That woman should not have that position because she made the whole thing worse. I wish I knew her name because I would call and complain. We were patrons and we were treated like prisoners.

We arrived early 'cause we're old, we didn't want to stand all night, and hoped to grab a table by the bar. We had to wait for 5-10 minutes outside before the doors opened at 7:00. It was cold out there! While we stood there, a bouncer came outside and stood with us. He could have remained indoors where it was warm. But in a gesture of silent solidarity, the dude joined us in the cold until the doors opened. He didn't make a big deal about it, just stood with us. You know, in our angry, cynical, stressed out world, it's awfully nice to witness a small display of humanity. Thanks, big guy. Once inside we snagged a table near the bar. I asked the bartender for a virgin strawberry margarita for my wife. But alas, the margaritas are premixed and they'd all lost their virginity. The bartender offered to make a substitute concoction for my wife. She asked me to report back and if my wife didn't like the drink, she'd comp us. Again, real decency. And good mixology, too. The drink was great. The show was fantastic, the acoustics outstanding, and the overall vibe at ARC is cool but unpretentious. It's a kick-ass independent music venue. That was our first show, and we'll be back for more. P.S. If ARC is reading this, could you maybe book more hip hop?

I saw the Totally Tubular festival, which was a variety show of several 80s bands. (The original acts, not cover bands.) The venue is located inside the Ocean Casino Resort. Ovation Hall is medium sized--definitely not intimate, but also nothing like a true arena. Acoustics were pretty good, and there are giant TVs on each side of the stage to see closeups of the performers. Overall the show went smoothly, with only one or two minor technical glitches, which seemed pretty good for the first night of a showcase tour. A friend and I sat on the side of the venue and still had a clear view. I thought it was worth it for $50 tickets (per person). This was a winter show, so none of the summertime beach traffic. The casino was busy but not overwhelmingly so. It was pretty easy to find parking and locate the venue inside. (Also it's not very smoky inside.) There are drinks available in Ovation Hall itself as well as small snacks. You can get more substantial food outside in the casino. Overall, I had a good experience at Ovation Hall, and I'll keep it on my radar for future shows.

I thought that I was doing a good thing by buying aisle, second row seats using the artist presale code. My view was partially obstructed all night, with no ability of the band to migrate out that far left. Adding to that frustration was being right up against the audio stacks on the left, and they were obviously wireless because the sound kept dropping out like you were watching a movie and it was buffering. Speaking of buffering, the video screens behind the stage were lagging by a full second. I attempted to capture how bad the view and sound was in the attached images and video. Worst venue ever.

A new music venue has arrived on the Atlantic City scene: Festival Park at the Borgata. This is an…read moreoutdoor concert venue tucked into a corner of the property by the Water Club tower. It occupies what was formerly a parking lot, and you could not really tell it ever was a lot. The space itself is set up nicely, with food and beer kiosks towards the rear along with some tables and lounge chairs set up in a grotto. Along the sides are the highest end port-o-potty setups I've ever seen, they look like construction trailers but inside are very private and clean restrooms with attendants. In front of the stage is a large grassy area where people stand or can sit on blankets/towels. No chairs are permitted. Strung along the trees, grotto, and above the trailers are festival style lights, which dim when the show begins. Because it's a former surface lot, to the left as you face the stage is a 4 story parking garage, and at the rear is, as I mentioned, the Water Club tower. To your right beyond the fence is another surface lot and Harrah's tower. This makes for not ideal sound, things tend to bounce all off the flat surfaces and do crazy things. Then again, there are not a lot of great outdoor venues for sound (the Mann Music Center being the one true exception in this area). It was a quite pleasant place to hear music, though, comfortable and well equipped. My one sole gripe: They allow smoking, and unless there is a breeze in your favor happening, you feel like you're in a bar. Stinky. Really stinky. Enough that it would give us pause in attending another event there, though for the right act we'd probably come and bring some masks or something to block the smell. The venue would do well to add some industrial fans to move that smoke along it's way, or, better, ban smoking entirely as other venues in the area do.

The tickets RJ purchased were front row in our section, but with "limited view" which was described as "possible infrastructure or lighting". We thought oh no big deal, maybe some sound equipment or a railing. Ok, these should have been sold as completely obstructed view. An employee from down below handed new tickets to RJ after the concert started if we wanted to move. But the row is so small and tight, I am 5 ft tall and had no leg room. We were all jammed against the railing. We thought that was nice but wished it had happened before the concert started, or that she came to the row and got us out rather than handing them up to us. No way was I going to try to get out by making 12-14 people move 1 song into the concert. So we only know they were higher up, but did not use them. At least I could see if I leaned to the left, but RJ looked at the back of this camera man all night!
