My wife waited around as long as she could for them to show up but they never showed. Days after the appointment no show I got an email from the owner apologizing which I appreciate. He stated that my reservation came in while he was on vacation and he failed to add it to their schedule. This is just very disappointing for a company to not honor an online reservation. If you don't check and confirm online reservations just don't offer them as an option.

We were referred to Capitol Autobody by the insurance company after someone hit the passenger side…read moreof our truck. We scheduled to have the work done and dropped it off. When my husband got the call that it was done, he was told then that they only except cashier's checks, so he had to leave work early to go get that before picking up the truck. After we got it home and had a chance to look it over, my husband noticed that the front door was a little higher than the back door. He also couldn't open the back door with the exterior handle. He had to reach inside and use the inside handle to get it open. We also noticed that they did not replace the weather stripping that somehow got damaged. My husband called Capitol A.B., and they told him to bring it back and they would take care of it. Due to our schedules, we had to wait till Friday to take it back. Before we took it in, we noticed a window switch in the cup holder, but we assumed it was one they replaced and forgot to throw away. After further investigation we discovered that it had been removed from the back driver's side door. They had no reason to be working on the driver's side since all the damage was on the passenger side. So why this was removed in the first place, and not put back is a mystery. We also found a plastic piece sitting on the back seat. After more searching, we discovered it was the piece that goes on the door frame for the back door. They just left it off and left it in the seat. When we dropped it off, we showed them all 5 issues, and they said they would take care of it. Once Monday afternoon rolled around, my husband got a voicemail that the truck was done and that we owed $257.92 for the weather stripping. Needless to say; that did not make us happy that we had to pay more because they screwed up. It would not be such a big deal if it was just one thing wrong, but there were 5 things that needed to be corrected. Keep in mind that we did not have a truck or a rental vehicle when we had to take it back to Capitol A.B. for their lack of quality control. Someone from their shop should have checked to make sure everything was done correctly and put back together before sending it out the door with the customer. After this experience, I would not recommend Capitol Autobody to anyone and will be reaching out to the insurance company to let them know about our experience, so they reconsider recommending Capitol Autobody to their clients.

Once secured appt for service, turnaround was a week. They had the parts ordered and were ready for us. Wayne was great about sharing status and progress. Loved the end result. Back to new! This is a man that cares about his work & his customers…read more I've lived in the Boise area since March & not one friend could give me the name of a trustworthy reasonable mechanic. I tried using Yelp to help find a shop that had high ratings & mostly positive reviews. I had a shop (Walter @ Mac's Automotive) convince me that replacing my rear end assembly instead of rebuilding the differential would be more cost-effective due to labor & parts. Initially quoted me $2300 ($1700 for the rear end) + $500 for 2 sensors that had to be replaced (told me that I had to do all 4). Ended up having Scott tow my truck from that shop to his & I told him what The prior shop had told me. To my surprise, Scott came back that same day quoting me $1300 for the rebuild. Then he mentioned the sensors & expressed their importance but I didn't have to do all 4. All said & done........$1655 out the door! Thank God For Perfection Drivetrain!

After going to a chain auto body repair shop I found Ray's to be much more agreeable to my needs…read more Only 5 days to repair compared to 2 weeks or longer. Also the repair was considerably less. 30% less for insurance claim. I also had another scraped bumper (our fault so not claiming) that was 50% less. Everything Brian said they could help with was done plus there were a couple things I forgot to attend to and he took care of it with a smile. When I picked up the car I mentioned a couple scratches on another bumper that I suppose happened in a parking lot. He said wait a moment and he would see if they could rub it out.... What a great surprise! All in all great service at a great price and beautifully done. I recommend Ray's without reservation.
