The staff at this Bosa Donuts custom makes extra large donuts. The size of this box is for a dozen donuts. I ordered this donut for an executive birthday at work. I went in the day before and told them what I wanted. They had it ready and on time for pickup plus made an extra one of the same size for me to choose in case I preferred one over the other. Talk about going the extra mile. A great experience and a quality yummy birthday donut. The stage was set for a new donut shop in town because consumers were tired of the national brand of donuts. Bosa brought back that old time taste. I tend to prefer the likes of these donuts over the commercial chain donuts which are stuck in an EZ bake oven then served to the masses. Or even the grocery store donuts which are pre-made frozen heaps of reheated sugar. You can grab breakfast or lunch here. Bosa has a variety of pastries and baked goods for sale. They also offer a selection of sandwiches and beverages for your morning or afternoon fix. It still has that family owned business feel. You can be the judge if that's a good thing or bad thing. Even though they have expanded to quite a few locations, the interior is underwhelming and can be drab. As I have visited other stores, they all have a simple ambiance. This is not a place that I would come to hang out at. It's just a place to grab a quick bite. I would say consistency can be an issue. My chocolate chip muffin was lacking in the chips. The top was sprinkled with a few chocolate chips but as I got to the center, they were like Elvis and left the building. I was introduced to Bosa Donuts by my colleague at work. He was a big fan and used to buy the team boxes of donuts every once in a while and would only pick Bosa. He always got only the glaze. Even though I try to avoid eating dairy and was egg free for a long time, I was always so tempted to try them and I did, and wow! They were so good. I'm not a huge fan of donuts because they are fried and greasy. Those donuts taste like a cloud! They are so fluffy and airy, you don't feel guilty eating more than one at a time! About a week ago, I tried to buy a half a dozen donuts for the first time. They had a big selection but I chose the glazed only because I know how good it tastes. BoSa donuts across the board have delicious donuts and great variety. What separates this shop for me are the friendly employees whose smile you can hear and see behind that mask. Been there twice now since we've moved to this area and they are so welcoming. I told one staff we just moved here and will be their new regulars from now on and she just smiled and seemed so grateful to hear that. The next day I went again and bought a half dozen from another staff. (Sorry I didn't get their names but I will on my next visit) However the staff from before came up front and saw me and she was again so happy to see me. She went and put an extra donut in my box for me and I was seriously moved by her kind gesture. Not that I need another donut but hell I'll take it! I came here on a weekend afternoon around 2PM and I had to wait around ten minutes because the people in front of me ordered seven boba drinks. I got a cinnamon crumb, apple fritter, and red velvet cake, and the person working there threw in an extra for me since I waited so long which I appreciated; she initially gave me a donut with sprinkles but I asked if I could have another one because I don't like sprinkles, so I ended up with a plain old fashioned. That turned out to be a great choice because it wasn't sweet at all and was crunchy all around. The cinnamon crumb is amazing, as it's super fresh and chewy, not too sweet either. The apple fritter was crunchy on the outside and had plenty of apples but is a tad flat and sweet. The red velvet cake was really flavorful and not too sweet, very fresh as well. Bought a half dozen here the other day. For whatever reason, the half dozen box they put them in holds four comfortably and two more if you stand them on end. You may want to reconsider a new more practical box when you deplete your current inventory. The donuts themselves are pretty good except for that raspberry one which contained some kind of mysterious pink cream that lacked any discernible real flavor. What I found appalling about my whole experience was when it was time to pay for them. First of all, on the counter is a giant glass container filled with money labeled "tip jar". The amount inside was so absurd; it may well have exceeded the amount of donut sales for the day. Then when I paid with my debit card the first thing the giant screen demands is "ENTER TIP AMOUNT HERE". If we as consumers are going to be pressured into tipping someone for the "service" of putting donuts in a box, I think this sets a bad precedent. If it actually succeeds, we may next find ourselves tipping grocery store baggers, Walmart greeters, school crossing guards and ultimately police and firemen (you wouldn't want your house to burn down would you?).
