We took one of our favorite knives to Bo Sharpens as the tip was broken off. He not only fixed the tip of the knife, but also put a razor sharp edge back on the knife. He fixed microscopic cracks in my blades and explained I needed to use new cutting boards to prevent future damage. Bo is a true craftsman. You'll need to make an appointment and travel to his home, but he will meet you at the curb, and time permitting, will offer same-day sharpening services. I bought a nice set of German knives about two years ago. I use them almost every day, and I'd recently noticed that they weren't performing like they used to. I know you're supposed to get them sharpened more regularly, but I just haven't gotten to it - mostly because I didn't have a regular place to take them. I'm happy to say that now I DO have that dependable, trustworthy craftsman on whom I can count to keep my kitchen tools in proper working order!
