    Turkish Coffee Chicken panini
    Jane Z.

This place is a hidden gem It's behind a Turkish(I think) store, lots of sandwiches selections, I tried the Turkish coffee(or Cappuccino I can't remember) but it's delicious. The chicken pesto panini was the best one I had for a while, will definitely try it again next time. Don't forget to check out the store, very unique selection of stuff.

Good variety of sandwiches. It's a one man show, so have patience for the kind owner. Got the house panini which is their best seller, and they don't skimp on the meat. Loaded with meat and tasty mayo. The bread is toasted but it's not as toasted as I would expect, but overall the sandwich is tasty and there is a large variety of flavors.

What a little nice surprise in Boise! My sister, dad, and I were curious about the little shop and decided to take a peek inside. I was shocked to see rows of food and snacks that I had only seen in Europe when studying abroad. My dad also was pleased to see that they carried French biscuits that he hadn't eaten in years, and he promptly bought a pack. The Bosnian woman who was working the cashier was very kind helpful. In the back is the dining and bar area, which was much bigger than we were expecting! We decided to try one of their gyros out and were very satisfied with how it tasted. The ratio of lamb, veggies, and tzatziki was perfect, and the bread that they used was so unique and delicious. I'd love to try some of their other dishes there another time!

    House Panini

Impressed by the service and food. The House Panini was unlike any that I've had. It had turkey, prosciutto, lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese, red pepper, and some homemade sauce nicely tucked between two slices of heavenly white bread. I'm not sure if the bake or buy the bread, but it was delicious and was what made this panini spectacular The staff kindly greeted me and made sure that I was being helped; I felt very welcome.

Gyros in the Balkans! This is a great causal dining experience with Bosnian sandwiches served on the quick. Friendly staff and a clean if eclectic ambiance await customers. Don't let the strip mall feel put your off. In fact, the collection of restaurants at the intersection of Emerald and Orchard holds great gems for food destinations. My beef and lamb gyro was served with a bag of potato chips. I got the special and it came with a fountain drink. The gyro was served on a bread different than most pita. Not sure what it's called but I'll have to ask next time. The portion was sizable. I saved half of it for another lunch. The sauce was sort of tzakiki-like, but heavier, almost mayo-based. I like a zestier dill taste. Good stop for lunch. Server was nice but not especially attentive. But they make up for it with tasty food and plenty of smiles.

    Pastrami. Very yummy!

This place was a great surprise. We searched out "Mediterranean" on Yelp, and this place came up. We didn't read any reviews, and just decided to try it, and I'm glad we did. The entrance seemed a bit strange, and when we walked in, I wasn't expecting the "Wine-bar" setting. That, and we were the only people in the entire establishment, I was wondering if we were in the right place. But soon the hostess/waitress/(owner?) came out and told us to take a table anywhere. Then immediately, other people started to flow in who looked like regulars, and as soon as we started looking through the menu, I knew things were going to be just fine. I ordered the Lamb and Beef Gyro, and my wife ordered a Pastrami sandwich. Both were wonderful! I'll take Gyro's over Pastrami any day, but when my wife let me taste her sandwich, I think she got the better deal. It was delicious. After dinner, we toured the store in the front, with lots of diverse things from Eastern Europe that you don't find at Winco or Fred Meyer. Of course, we had to pick up some chocolate and some cookies, which were delicious. The store and restaurant are apparently run together, and the woman who waited on us was super friendly. I think we'll definitely be back, because there were other sandwiches on the menu that looked delicious too, and I love trying new things. [ Do you ever wonder... Why are there 5 syllables in the word "monosyllabic"? ]

Only came in to grab some lunch, but did browse around the store to see what they sell. The owner (I think, or maybe it was the owner's wife) was nice and had the I'm-not-afraid-to-kick-you-out-of-the-store-if-i-want-to personality, it seems. Got their house panini which was loaded a lot of different meats. Prosciutto, pastrami, salami and I think a couple more. With some avocado, cheese, tomato, bell pepper, lettuce. Big portion, good bread. Really worth what you're paying for. Store seems like a very 80's type store. Not that it was themed that way, just not updated, but cute and small town feel.

Turkey bacon sandwich - thick Turkey!!

Love this place !!! (kinda) a hidden gem. Boise local and this had been around since I was a young lad. Got a new fancy facelift for the bar behind the authentic Bosnian food store! But still the same small local - quality - feeling, I am sure that propelled sales for the remodel. (Compared to like 5yrs ago when I last came through ) Love to see them thrive. Amazing lunch sandwiches and usually not crazy busy in the 9-5. Cant say enough good things. Please eat here so I can keep eating here for many years :)! I have hosteled around many countries, Add this to the TripAdvisor this place doesn't get enough cred in my opinion!

This restaurant is a gem hidden by a banal exterior. Once you find your way through the hallway and into the restaurant you find a charming establishment. The building is obviously older but it's been well decorated. They have a bar in the back. I had goulash and a Rueben sandwich my wife had a gyro sandwich. Everything was obviously made from scratch including the bread with the exception of the bag of the Lay's potato chips, which amused me. Both sandwiches were amazing. While the name says Bosnian they have a wide variety of sandwiches. The establishment embodies the concept of simple yet elegant. You can almost feel the time that went into making the place so charming. I'll definitely be coming back.

After being the only two sitting in the restaurant for 10 minutes, someone brought us menus. Another 10 later, they came back for our order. It was a tad frustrating because an item I wanted to order had a well-worn sticker blocking it out. Placed our food and drink order. Several minutes later, someone different came from the back and said one of the two items was also not available. So another item was chosen. Drinks were not delivered (tea and a water) until the food came 20 minutes later. And the water was a tiny 8-ounce bottle of water. 1.5 hours and we were the only diners. That says something. Food - Of what we could order, the chicken tikka was good but not amazing. 4 stars. The lamb kabob was amazingly bland and tough. So disappointing as I typically love lamb. 2 stars. The hummus was thin and tasted too sour with no flavor dimension to it. Was it old? Better hummus has a slight nutty flavor to it and this needed more garlic. 3 stars. Rice actually had decent flavor. 4 stars. We had both the pistachio and walnut baklava. As a baklava connoisseur, the walnut was far better flavor and texture but both seemed dry and old. Bread was okay. When I look at the number or reviews from those in CA or OR with less than 5 reviews on their account (all giving 5 stars) - it seems clear that people want free baklava or hot tea, as they advertise at the table when you sit down. But they need to read your review first before getting the token item. I have better ethics and higher standards than that. Maybe the restaurant section is on the slide. For a $20 entree, not worth it. There is better in Boise.

A friend of mine practically lives here- every other day, like clockwork- and the last time I joined, he ordered a full mezze-style spread that felt straight out of the Mediterranean coast: impossibly creamy hummus, cool and garlicky tzatziki, perfectly seasoned kebabs, fresh veggies, warm pita... dish after dish, each one better than the last. This is a casual, no-frills kind of place- so don't come expecting anything overly polished or upscale. The missing star from others? It's purely about the ambiance. But the food? That's a full five. What really shines is the quality, the authenticity, and the consistency. Everything tastes fresh, vibrant, and nourishing- the kind of meal that feels both indulgent and genuinely good for you. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you walk in; friendly greeting within seconds of walking in, calming colors of blue and white adorn every wall with charming tablecloths on each table, and cute decor. Service was immediate with a carafe of water and a huge smile. I loved the vibe! Ordered a German Hefeweizen that came cold and frothy. Next came the Greek salad with the most juicy, crisp tomatoes, green peppers and cucumbers, then heavily sprinkled with feta cheese, a pinch of capers, and a side of the best Greek dressing I've ever tasted. I was originally taken aback that there was no lettuce, but real Greek salad doesn't have lettuce! I had no idea. Hubby and I shared the Broiler Mix from the appetizer menu so we could sample multiple items. The Broiler mix has 2 chicken skewers, 2 beef skewers, 2 Kefta patties, 2 chorizo, 2 pitas, fries, tomato wedges and a healthy dollop of tzatziki. The pita tasted homemade; it was soft, thick without being too think and didn't taste chalky. The skewers were exceptionally cooked...tender, flavorful pieces of chicken and beef. The kefta (lamb & beef) patties had a nice texture, which was enhanced with the herbaceous tzatziki sauce. The only disappointment was the chorizo as it was overcooked and dry. It was easy to overlook as everything else was a shining star. We would go back in a heartbeat....totally made me want to explore more Greek food there!

I was very excited to try the falafel in particular, which I had heard great reviews about. I ordered the Gyro Plate with a side of Falafel. I enjoyed speaking with him. There was another gentleman working with him, who was cooking in the back. Mohamed answered all of my questions. One of the things I wanted to know before I ordered was if they were using one of the popular brands of gyro meat such as Kronos, which and you can purchase just about anywhere. I was told they did not. I was impressed to see that this business serves Coke from Mexico. I commented on that to Mohammed, including that I haven't had real Coke since I was a teenager. I drove home and opened the box to discover that the cook forgot to give me any sauce for my falafel, nor was there any garlic sauce. I really enjoyed the gyro meat.
