I held off on posting a review, but I truly believe that people should know what they are walking into when they go to this salon. I found Myra on Instagram. I was impressed by the photos that I saw and with all the followers she has. She has over 13k followers so my assumption was that she must be great. First impression on the overall look of the salon: When I walked through the salon, I was thinking it was going to be really nice inside since it's inside of the America's Plaza Building, but I was wrong. These stylists charge a lot of money for each client. You would think they would decorate their work space nicely but it was like an average hole in the wall place. It wasn't clean or organized. Meeting with Myra: My appointment was on April 13th at 12pm with Myra. I arrived on time, because I didn't want to be late. Myra indicates on her website that she charges late fees. When I got up stairs to see Myra, I greeted myself to her. She wasn't welcoming as she was occupied with another client. She told me she was running late and asked me to sit down. She was still working on two other client's hair. It wasn't until 12:55 when she finally got started on my hair. She asked me how I wanted my hair AFTER we already chatted about what I wanted on our instagram messages. I sent her very detailed pictures of what I wanted. I wanted bayalage with a lot of dimension that included baby lights. After refreshing her memory and showing her the pictures of my hair goal, she told me that she doesn't do highlights/baby lights. I was really upset to hear that. I wish she had told me that before I booked my appointment. Then she pressured me into getting an ombré melt since I wanted to go lighter. I had brassy yellow tones in my hair. She recommended that I should do the ombré first then go back and do the bayalage after I'm more blonde. I kept having to tell her no, because ombré isn't my style at all! She finally said ok to bayalage but instead of listening and helping me go lighter than what I already was, she ended up giving my hair a full 360 and took me darker. My hair was more blonde with my last session with a previous hair stylist than what I ended up with after getting my hair done with Myra. I didn't think going lighter would've been that difficult since I was already lighter on the bottom. She said she toned my hair and the silver linings all throughout my hair would eventually be my lighter blondes within 48 hours. It's been a week and a half and my hair is still very dark and those silver streaks didn't turn lighter. Myra did not deep condition or wash my hair good after coloring it. Myra's coworker rinsed the product off my head with cold water. I then sat on the chair with water dripping down my neck waiting to get blow dried for another 30 minutes. They did not wrap my wet hair with a towel. I ended up getting dye all over my face since the water from my hair kept dripping all over my face and Myra's coworker didn't wash out all the products from my hair. It was literally a rinse and squeeze session! Customer service: Myra did not provide excellent customer service at all. For someone that charges $300, I was expecting top customer service and one on one experience. She never talked to me unless it was to tell me to go to the rinse chair or back to the original chair. Instead, Myra chatted up a storm with her coworker about how much fun they had the night before. She arrived to work with a major hangover hence why she was running behind on time. I should've ran the moment I hear she was hung over. The girls talked about so many different guys. They talked about weed, dicks, being drunk, sex, and overall joked about a lot of unprofessional stuff. Work is a professional environment not a place to goof around. I truly felt that she was so involved into carrying conversations with her coworker that she didn't pay enough attention to my hair. She rushed my bayalage. She wanted to do ombré melt so it would be easier and quicker. She even JOKED about how tired she was and that if someone wanted to go blonde that she would say they look better brunette only because blonde requires more work. I was really shocked when I heard that because I had an appointment hoping to get more blonde in my hair and of course that didn't happen! Go figure! Myra never asked personal questions or tried getting to know me. She was busy chatting with her coworker. I was never offered any water after sitting there for 4 hours. You would think that if you are paying for a $300 service that you would at least have water bottles to offer your clients, but not at this place. If you expect one on one service do not go here. Myra will be working on 3 girls at the same time and juggling around all of them. Myra doesn't care if her clients return back to her or not. All she cares about is money. I didn't want to tip at all, but I still ended up tipping $40 on top of the $300 service charge since her coworker helped with my hair. read more

It was one of the worst place I went in Dallas-Fort-worth area. I had an appointment with Hailey at 3, and she came at 3:30 like a model she was done her hair nicely and when it was time for coloring, she said I can't do it because I don't want to ruin my blonde hair with red, I am sorry but if you are so worried you can cover your hair! So anyway she asked the other girl to do it, during the time she was scratching my scalp wildly with the thick gloves! Anyway at the end, I got a really bright red, you can't even compare with the dark red color I asked and l showed the picture! Also she cut my hair uneven! After sharing my unpleasant experience with the Owner Hailey on Facebook she: 1. Threatened to sue me 2. Responded unprofessionally from her salon's Facebook page (then deleted it when people were agreeing with me) 3. Responded even more unprofessionally from her personal Facebook page (Photos attached - phone number in photos is also posted on her IG so no one thinks I'm giving personal info) Hailey texted me 20 minutes before our appointment time claiming she had a flat tire and would be about an hour & a half. She said she'd text me as soon as she was done and on the way. Two hours later I texted and called her, no answer. I got on Instagram & noticed she posted a video of HER DRIVING TO WORK. I texted and called again, nothing. FOUR hours after her saying she'd text me as soon as she was done I decided to go to the salon. She asked who I was there to see & when I said her name she left me there waiting as she continued to color someone's hair & have another person record it. I called her cell phone as I stood there. The gentleman recording her went over to the desk I was standing at to check it. I said, "so y'all do see me calling y'all just aren't answering" to which he replied "I don't work up here". She FINALLY steps over to assist me. When I told her I was her 10:00AM appointment she said "oh right, I was going to call you and let you know when you could come in". I reminded her that she said she'd contact me in an hour & a half to let me know she was on her way. She throws her hands up with gloves & hair dye and says "I'm busyyy does it look like I can get to my phone right now?" She goes on to say she had 3 clients waiting on her when she arrived. Hmm. So why was I the ONLY client told to turn around, go home & wait for you to tell me you were on the way? Oh yea, cause it was "just" a haircut. She continued to be so rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate with everything that she said. I was truly shocked. When I wouldn't accept such treatment and challenged her excuses with logic she decided to refuse to service me altogether. At that point I began to record the situation and she went and called security on me. (She had time for that) I remained calm, still. When security arrived I willingly left with him & explained what occurred. He said he still hadn't heard a valid reason but at that point I didn't trust her to do my hair anyway. I've never been treated so unprofessionally by a business owner in my life. I do not recommend this salon. Honestly this was one of the worst haircut experiences I've ever had in my entire life from beginning to end. Didn't greet me or make me feel comfortable at all. Asked me ZERO personal questions. I was staying at the Marriott City Center Hotel which is next door to the building where this salon is. We were attending a wedding in Dallas and I called Saturday morning to see if there were any appointments available for that day. The salon was able to fit me in and Amanda did a great job touching up my root color and blowing my hair out. Hailey, the owner, is extremely unprofessional. I had my appointment early morning and showed up a few minutes before time. I sent her a text after 5 minutes letting her know I was waiting in the lobby. 30 minutes later, I am still waiting and no reply. I send her another text that I was not waiting any no longer and you guessed it... no reply. I asked one of the people that work in the building about the hair studio. He laughed and said they are never on time, just keep waiting. After reading the reviews, I am actually glad she didn't show up. I needed a lash fill while in town for work. I was able to get a last minute appointment here and they did a beautiful job. As someone who has had lash extensions since early 2015, I have because extremely picky about lash application. If done wrong, they may not last that long and/ or you can damage your natural lashes. Miscommunication but worth it! I had my hair and makeup done by "Arby" for a masquerade party. She did a great job that when I arrived at the party, almost everyone complimented on me. The studio place is accommodating so as the staffs. The only thing not clear was when i had my reservation made through phone call, Hailey mentioned that I'll only be paying a 100 dollars, inclusive of everything already. I went to get my hair done about 3 days ago & let me just say yes, I LOVE my hair but I'm giving one star for sanitary reasons. I have NOT have Covid because I'm VERY cautious about wearing my mask, washing my hands, staying away from people. Not a single worker in there wore a mask the whole time. I walked in and no one greeted me, so I was a little confused on where to go. As she started the owner was talking to her employees cussing up a storm & talking about hooking up with guys & fighting. I wasn't too bothered till the owner said they ALL had covid cause this b*tch & points at a girl 3 seats away from me. So I kept asking questions like can you spread it after you had it & they said we don't know but it doesn't matter it's fake we just had the flu for 2 weeks & then we were fine. I instantly changed my mind about this place after that because I have a kid to go home to. I would have loved to give a better review but if I spend $300 on my hair I expect a relaxing experience & a stress free one. I just expected more from women who are older then me. Side note, I got my hair done in LA by a stylist that does celebrity hair before and I only paid $250 the same style she did. ATTENTION: Chase Building and Plaza of the Americas! Unacceptable and Rude Customer Service! I can't believe she is still in business - look at the reviews for this place on Google. Think twice before booking online for men's haircuts, or for that matter even going there! On their website, I opted for the "First Available" Employee. I get there only to find out that the "First Available" Employee assigned by their website, Hailey, doesn't cut Men's hair, instead, Hailey says "Jules is going do it". Meanwhile, I assume that Jules is finishing up with her customer, as his head is already shaved. She continues to shave this guy's already shaved head for 15 minutes while I wait. He says to Jules, "So you really don't like to cut Men's hair?", and she said "No, not really" as she kept shaving what was not there. Then I find out the guy with the shaved head is Hailey's Brother! Only one out of the three Hair Stylists there apparently cut men's hair! All for $30.00. NO WAY! read more

Gaby is so unprofessional and unreliable. She chopped my platinum hair whiletaking shots of vodka with her four eyed friend. She refused to give me a refund I paid $250 plus the $60 dollar tip. Buyer Beware!!! DO NOT Waste your MONEY or ruin your HAIR going here!!! Hailey is the owner and a stylist there and she is awful. She put in my extensions and when it came time for my first move up 6 weeks later she was half an hour late to my appointment and told me her assistant starts all her jobs for her. I wouldn't allow her assistant to touch my hair in fear of not doing it correctly so when she FINALLY arrived she gave so much attitude.. and she was the one 30 minutes late!! She was super rough taking them out and moving them up and hurting my head SEVERAL times with the pliers, which was very painful. Then when I needed my second move up she cancelled 2x and I went to another salon for a move up. I finally tried to give her one last chance on just coloring my leave out on top of my head around the extensions since she applied them. She said she was doing a highlight and root melt and she did a horrible messy job. She basically bleached the top of my head a platinum yellow color when my extensions are a butter blonde and didnt tone the hair the right color so it doesn't match or blend and I asked her for a blonde frame in the bangs and she didnt do any of that and left two thin brown strips in the front of my bangs with platinum everywhere else! Just Awful. I texted her immediately when I got home and saw the hair in normal lighting and told her I needed a toner and that it doesn't match and she ignored all 3 of my messages then I saw on her IG stories she was out that evening partying like always. So she chose to ignore a paying clients messages to fix her mess up. She cancels all the time bc she is hung over. She goes out 24-7 and posts all her stupid videos on her IG for the public to see. So when she cancels your appointment last minute for a lie the next AM you clearly can see she was out. She is not a classy business woman at all. I don't know how she makes money and runs a business. And the environment at the salon is awful. Hip hop music blasting non stop and the girls talking about boys and sex etc. Just not a classy establishment. AVOID if you want a good experience and a good job done to your hair. read more

She has gotten my brows in check, fluttered my lashes, I've got platinum locks for days, and she always has an opening for me! I assume her boyfriend or guy she's dating plays for the Rangers bc she had the ranger game on her iPhone set up & was watching it while she found brushed my hair burning me so many times, pulling my hair (I'm not tender headed at all either) just really really rough, just literally eyes on the game, basically blowing me out blindly. I found Haley through Instagram & set an appt right away. For the hair extensions, color & cut was around $1400. Which was fine, I knew what I was paying for & was expecting the best for the price I was paying. Customer service was below average but that's not even what Im really upset about. Haley told me that the maintenance on her extensions were a walk in the park, she gets them "custom made" & they're "just like your real hair" & should last minimum 4 months with washing every 3-4 days. Let me just say I dread taking showers & styling my hair now bc of how much work this hair requires. I use all salon products in & out of the shower, leave in conditioners shine sprays you name it! I've lost probably 2-3 inches off of this originally 24 inch hair in the past month. It dries like a matted mop after the shower & bunches up at the roots constantly after styling. I'm SO disappointed & will never trust any small hair extensions brand ever again. I already need new hair & I got this hair WEEKS ago. Smh. read more

I just wanted to warn any girl who is looking to make a change...the pictures you see on Instagram that Hailey posts are not reality....dont believe me...Look at the pictures I included of my beautiful long black hair that she RUINED!!! After she showed up 45 minutes late...she left me sitting in BLEACH for 7 hours! You read that right...7 hours. After the appointment, she took the picture under a special light to make it look good for her social media. And charged me $400. Then in the next picture you can see the reality of her services. She damaged my hair so bad, it broke off...I had to go to another salon and the only way to fix it was to chop off about 8 inches. I was devastated. My hair was so ruined and damaged it would take me almost an hour to blow dry because it was holding on to any moisture it could. When I went down there to show them the breakage, Antares didn't even care. Just told me to go get a deep conditioner. I had a friend with me and she spoke up for me and asked if they had anything they could give me. So Amanda gave me a USED deep conditioner. They do not care about their clients...just want to gossip about being hungover from the club the night before. Bottom line, dont believe what you see on instagram. read more

Met Tanya. I needed my hair washed and dried for a photo shoot and couldn't have been more pleased. She used my products without resistance and did an expert job with super curly hair. my friends accompanied me and both had their nails done by one technician while I had my hair done. Everyone was happy and we made it back to the seminar in time and gorgeous for the photog session. Added plus was the Skywalk from the Sheraton. It is hard to find in the Plaza of Americas but worth it. read more

This was the only salon I've ever been to besides my hairdresser back home in Oklahoma. Antaris was absolutely AMAZING!!! I came in with bad split ends, old grown out highlights and very little direction as to how I wanted her to color/fix my hair. She completely listened to the few requirements I had and ran with it; Antaris totally just envisioned it and made moves...I had no idea how it was going to turn out....and she KILLED IT! I absolutely love my new hair color!!! She also stayed late to accommodate my work schedule! She is Amazing! I will 100% be going back and would recommend her to anyone who asks! read more

I just came in for a conference and was in desperate need for an immediate color correction. I called and they got me right in. The correction took 5 hours due to the disaster at a different place back home. Antares did an amazing job and never made me feel like she had somewhere else to be. As a matter of fact the entire staff was extremely friendly. I'll make sure to make another appointment when I come back to Dallas. If I could come here every 6 weeks I would but it's not feasible. I first heard about first impressions salon through a groupon for lash extensions. I was ecstatic to find it because prior reviews seemed positive and prices weren't too high. I needed an appointment before Monday because I was leaving for a trip, so Hailey was able to squeeze me in Friday at 5. I did not make my appointment because my gps ended up taking me to Love Field instead of Downtown and I did not want her to have to wait up for me; granted I had never been to this salon before and I was so embarrassed for getting lost so I offered to reschedule. Hailey was great in offering that she could see me that next morning at 9. The next morning as I was getting ready to leave at around 8, I receive a text from Hailey saying that she will not be able to make the appointment because of a babysitter issue, but also said that she was fully booked for the day but MIGHT have an opening later in the day. I told her I understood and would wait to hear from her later. I texted her at 1250 asking her if she knew if she'd have an opening, again at 350, and again later in the day.... Never received a response. Besides canceling our appointment and not even offering to fit me in later in the day knowing it was the last day for me to have the service done, I just thought it was very unprofessional to not respond to a client who is trying to give her business? They advertise that they do bookings through text, but then they don't respond to you whatsoever. I was very disappointed I did not have the opportunity to have my lashes done at FI because j believe they would have done a good job. Went online on September 19 and made an appointment. Received a confirmation e-mail later that day. Received a text confirmation on September 27. Today, September 28, I got a call from the salon telling me they are going to be closed on Saturday, thus I have no appointment.
